Tina's nails is a great spot to relax and get away from the littles. I opted for a pedicure with Joe's and I have to say that the massage was absolutely awesome the technician did not rush through it I just felt so relaxed and man I would come back there just for that because they're really good at getting you relax and just to enjoy a moment of nothing but being pampered. The only reason for four stars instead of five is the price I ended up paying $60 for a regular gel with just a $5 up charge for a special effect on my nails. That seems really expensive to me and also the chairs while really pretty are very impractical because you can't recline in them and for someone tall it makes for not as comfortable of an experience the entire time all I wanted to do was recline and I'm pregnant on top of it so it was a bit tough for me. read more

Recently I brought an elderly friend ( 96 years old) in for a mani/ pedi with an appointment made that morning When we arrived she was informed by yelling that she had only made an appointment for a mani Not only was it embarrassing for my friend to be yelled at from the middle of the salon with all heads turned in her direction but disrespectful & rude Maybe a little more discretion & empathy for the elder generation They did make room for my friend for a pedi & the gentleman that did it was wonderful read more

I wasn't able to get a same day appointment but they got me in the day after, which worked out as we were staying in town through the weekend. There are tons of nail salons in and around this area with terrible reviews, and Tina Nails had the only salon with positive reviews and an updated interior with proper and chic furniture and chairs. Jimmy is the best! I came in with some entirely too long acrylic nails and a few that were broken and needed to be replaced due to poor workmanship (not from here). He nailed the shape, and when I wanted to do a glitter he had a solid recommendation about base color to ensure it popped. 100% entirely happy with my visit. read more

I come every month for a pedicure and everyone has been great with the massage and making sure my feet look great. The location is spacious and I enjoy the massage chairs. My husband and I were in town and had an impromptu idea to get some pedicures. We walked into what was clearly a busy day. We were told they could accommodate us in 40 minutes. We came back (which was at the end of the day) and received AMAZING treatment. Kindness, professionalism, great care and you would have never known we were their last client of the day! Staff refused entry to my trained service animal and demanded a vest and proof of certification -- both illegal under federal law. When I asserted my rights, staff became aggressive and a customer joined in. I left without service and shaken. I really wanted to like this place because it's within walking distance to my home and I love supporting small businesses. After my recent experience, I will not be returning. I had an appointment to get an acrylic set. So I get there and I get told to wait. So when they finally called me to sit at their station, I had to wait another five minutes. While I'm still waiting, I get asked what color I want. Usually when you go to a nail salon, they'll give you a binder of colors to choose from right away, and I didn't get one as soon as I sat down. So I politely tell the lady that if I can please look at the binder with all the colors so I can choose one. The lady handed me the binder with such attitude. Then a guy ends up doing my nails (can't remember his name) I ended up getting a couple of cuts on my cuticles and he didn't apologize or asked if I was OK. Basically the whole time I was there I felt very unwelcomed. I received a couple of unfriendly stares. The workers were very kind and welcoming to the other clientele that was in the salon except me. I don't know if it's because I'm Latina and everyone else in there was white but who knows what their deal was. I definitely regret tipping 22% they did not deserve my money and kindness. It's a bummer that I have to leave a negative review. Don't waste your time/money at this place and go to oasis nails in Carmel by the sea instead! They are so sweet/hospitable and they do an amazing job with all the services they provide! read more

In the final analysis, they are not nice people. I defended them when they were attacked by an entitled woman with a fake service animal. As my reward, I am blocked and no longer welcome at the salon. Fine. There are places closer to my home that are every bit as good. read more

I really only come here for pedicures and they do a fabulous job! Very thorough getting all the dead skin off and they do a great foot massage. Anh did my pedi and she was very sweet and friendly. Clean establishment and very upscale vibe. The massage chairs are sooooo comfy. They do close Wednesdays so just be mindful of that! read more

I was a little disappointed with some of the things at this salon. I felt like doing my nails was an inconvenience. And when I showed them my inspo photo they told me it would look like a "little kids" nails and that I should only do one singular nail... I felt like they just didn't have the time or patience so they were trying to rush me out. Also didn't have any lotion or cuticle oil for hands so not sure if that's a normal thing or not. read more

She was very attentive, friendly and welcoming. I schedule an appointment for a first time, deluxe pedicure here with Tina herself, she made sure to precisely and carefully remove all of my ingrowns, remove gel, and left me with a beautiful French tip set ! I highly recommend Tina Nails to anyone who wants a friendly and welcoming environment. Whether it's by Tina or one of the other professionals there, you'll be welcomed upon arrival. I'm always early but I've never had to wait more than a minute. The salon is always festive with fresh flowers and plants and always neat and clean. I have been a regular since moving to the peninsula and have been amazed that Tina, as busy as she is, has the ability to recognize my voice when I call for my next appointment. Tina Nails is hands down the best nail salon on the Monterey Peninsula. It is always clean and everyone who works there is very friendly. I typically see Emily but have also seen Amee, Tina, and Anne and they are all equally fantastic - you can't go wrong. After my last visit, I had multiple people comment on how amazing my nails looked! The attention to detail is wonderful and price is very reasonable. 10/10 recommend! read more

I always have a great experience each time I get my nails done whether it's a manicure, pedicure or gel manicure which was my first time there. I've only had gel manicure done 2 times at other places and they do not compare to Tina's nails. The crew there are always so nice and I look forward to getting my nails done there! read more

This was my first manicure since before my daughter was born almost eight months ago, and I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it was also my last visit to this salon. The gentleman doing my nails repeatedly touched his mouth and nose, and he coughed into his hand while working on my nails, which was concerning. Additionally, I felt uncomfortable when the staff hounded another customer about where she had her nails done previously. Despite her attempts to be vague and simply say "just another place in town," they pressed her until she eventually revealed the name of the business. After that, several nail technicians began to speak negatively about the owner and main technician of that salon, very unprofessional. I decided to leave without getting my nails painted, even though I paid for a full manicure. It was an incredibly uncomfortable experience that left me feeling uneasy the entire day. I do not recommend this salon. read more

Tina is the best on the peninsula! She loves what she does and it shows on your nails. Not only are your nails perfectly done, but they last long, at least 3 weeks! Tina and her husband were so accommodating even though they were busy and I was a walk-in. I absolutely loved my manicure and pedicure! However, she used a different nail polish brand than the one I selected from the chart. The color itself was nice, but I specifically wanted a gold cat-eye over the maroon. I was disappointed to find out that the salon did not carry a gold cat-eye, so we ended up doing a silver cat-eye instead. My biggest concern, though, is the longevity of the manicure. It has only been one week, and I am already seeing the color peeling. For the price I paid, I expected the manicure to last longer. It makes me wonder if the polish/product used was not the best quality. I do appreciate Kim's kindness and the friendly service, but I hope the salon can offer more color options, especially gold cat-eye, and consider using products that provide better durability. I would love to see some improvements because I do enjoy supporting local businesses.

I was recently healing from a health/medical incident, and I really wanted a mani pedi. The salon is clean and was mostly relaxing. I found the staff to be polite and accommodating, too. I wanted airbrushed ombre nails and showed a picture of what I have gotten at a salon I've been to near my hometown. The first woman looked at my picture and suggested a younger girl do my nails because she is apparently very good at nail art and special requests. I wish I could remember her name; I'd written it down previously, but I can't find it! Anyway, she was on her phone the entire time. She had her AirPods in and talked and talked. I won't even go into the details, but I learned a lot about her against my will. What was supposed to be a relaxing experience turned into an anxious experience for me. From this conversation, I learned that she was supposed to leave earlier but my nail situation was going to make her late. This made me feel nervous because I didn't want to make her late, but she was in the middle of doing my nails! She said she could do the type of nails I wanted, but in the end--she couldn't! She made one of my nails bleed and it hurt! Then, when she couldn't do my ombre nails, I just suggested she do a French tip. The white part of the nails was so thick and pretty messy. She didn't even bother to fix it because she was late for her next appointment outside of the salon. She left before the entire manicure was done and someone else finished up with the massage etc. My pedicure was delightful. The pedicure okay was gentle, attentive, and kid. I really enjoyed the deluxe pedicure, and I'd come back just for that.
