Worst gel manicure I have gotten in a very long time. My regular salon wasn't available this day, so I figured I would check this one out. Nails were not cut too similar lengths, and there was residue of previous gel left on my nails, so the manicure was very bumpy and only lasted less than a week. Normally gel manicures last at least two weeks for me if not more. It was also the most expensive coming in at $95 for a Mani Pedi that was horrible. Never going back. read more

I went to Rose Nails because they were the only place available at the time I needed. The salon is interesting. Very dusty, old, weird decor. The furniture is not clean. The mani pedi was the worst quality I have ever received. The nail tech on my toes worked at a glacial pace and no massage, no scrub. Guess that's extra here. The women doing my mani did a sloppy Job. Paint on the sides of my nails and left dry cuticles. No cuticle oil, no oil, no massage, no scrub. She also blamed me for the lint that was embedded into 4 of my nails because I moved my phone. Huh. Spend your money some where else. I'm getting my mani redone at my normal place. read more

Had a great experience here! Loved how my nails turned out!! My gels didn't chip at all at all for ~3 weeks (when they were too grown out and took them off). They were so lovely here. I got a builder gel manicure. And unfortunately it was the worst manicure of my life. The nail tech left on some of my old polish, which led my manicure to being very bumpy and lumpy, and incomplete streaks in my polish. When I pointed it out, only one nail was fixed. There was also no nail prep, no cuticle cleaning, or any other nail care. I wouldn't recommend and I won't be going back. read more

My daughter and I walked in, and we were greeted so warmly. We each had mani pedis. We met the family who are recent owners and who could not have been nicer. Went in as a walk in, there was no other clients there for the first part of my service. The whole service felt rushed. I got a full set of short French tip. The nail tech did not check to see if both hands were even to eachother after shaping. Some are more square and shorter than the others. One singular nail is very thick the others are very thin you can see my natural nail through the acrylic. The paint job was not very good either all the tips look different some thicker than others and once again she did not bother to check if both hands match eachother. Also found it weird that she didn't clean my nails or cuticles up at all, just a simple cut before applying the acrylic nails. I am very dissatisfied and honestly sad to have these nails on my hands and having spent $70. I keep looking at them from so many different angles and they still look bad. I should have said something but I wanted to trust the process and honestly it was my fault for not looking at the reviews first. Employees were nice but the work was terrible. While in the shopping center saw the shop had just opened and dropped in for a pedicure. What a disappointment. The clean up, file, clip cuticles, scrub feet portion lasted less than 10 minutes. The rest of the time was spent with the nail technician rubbing lotion on my legs. Then used a cold towel to wipe the lotion off my I quite honestly can and have done a better job at home while watching tv. She looked absolutely uninterested in her job and appeared to care less about the being even remotely thorough. Lesson learned. Do not come here again as it is a waste of money. read more

This review is from a few years ago but was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in customer service. Went in for a scheduled manicure and lip wax and things were fine at first. But the nail technician kept trying to upsell me on services. It started during the manicure, which was fine but nothing to write home about. And not just nail services. When she was doing my lip wax she kept making incredibly rude comments like, "Oh your lip is so bad... you kiss your boyfriend with that lip?... you have way too much hair here you can't go out in public like this..." I mean AWFUL things to say to anyone let alone a polite customer. Yes I had hair above my lip, that's why I came in for the service... but it was not a noteworthy amount of hair. Then she kept asking if I wanted other things waxed, starting with my brows and then moving onto my arms. I'm a mammal, I have hair as nature intended. I don't appreciate being shamed for it. If I want an additional service I will ask for it, I don't need recommendations from the "professional" who is somehow against women having hair anywhere on their bodies. There is no excuse for this. I left almost in tears and wish I remembered the young woman's name. Needless to say I never went back and strongly do NOT recommend this establishment. I really shouldn't be writing nail salon reviews. I get pedicures...and in spite of numerous requests that I do from the technician...I don't get color on my toes. Who knows...maybe men wearing toenail polish will become a thing and I'll get camo colored toenails or something. Anyway, based off everyone else reviews about this place, I gave it a try and it was good. Enjoyable pedicure...rather painless...and VERY hygienic. Went there to get a fill in, which they said is $30. The lady "MYE" did my fill in. She charged me $40 dollars AFTER she finished my fill in because my nails came out "nice". No mention of any extra charges before or during the service. Sense when do you applaud a fish for swimming?? She basically charged me extra to tip herself. Tf?? Never coming here again. I went in with a friend and i asked for a simple curved line on my nails and i was told it could not be done, turns out there was someone there who could do it because my friend got exactly what she wanted (curved lines). This is my favorite nail salon and I will never go anywhere else!! The girls always take care of me and my mom. I have to have my acrylic nails done PERFECTLY or else I will pick them off, and Julie gets them perfect every single time. Also, the girls have picked up several special types of polish for me in the past! They treat us like family, and every time I go, I leave thinking about how much I love to go there! Julie also does impeccable waxing. She gave me the cleanest and smoothest Brazilian I've ever gotten. Same goes for eyebrows, lips, and underarms! 10/10 recommend to anyone!!!! read more

I brought my father to Rose's nails for a Father's day treat while visiting the local area based solely on the reviews. This place earned it. I do not get manicures/pedicures more than once a quarter, but this was not my first. I was particularly impressed at the technician not phoning in the leg/foot rub. She really took her time. As a man, I do not get polish, but she spent some extra time buffing the nails and they looked very glossy. Very well done. She was really able to clean under the nail and did more than one pass on the cuticles. Actually, she 'cleaned' up some extra dead skin around the nails prior to buffing. Just to say that sometime, you do not see everything when they put the different products on so she took her time to check and recheck her work. Overall, the tech showed great attention to detail. Importantly, in spite of a waiting line buildup, did not rush/cut corners to finish in order to get more people in the seat. We never felt hurried. The price was very reasonable given the overall quality of service. I've paid more for a lot less. If I am in the area, I will stop in again and next time I might try and add a massage. I wanted to like this place because my colleague recommended it but... there were just too many things that slowly irked me. #1 Do not tell me that the nail polish I selected is boring, ugly, old grandmotherly, and then go pick out another one you want me to wear instead. (What is the deal with this behavior? I've had this happen at other places. Maybe I like "boring" nude nailpolish sometimes. So what? I'm paying the same, regardless of color. Get over it.) #2 The water for my pedicure wasn't very warm. (And no one asked.) And the filing itself of my nails was rather haphazard and careless. #3 Apparently bringing my old spa's mani-pedi set in (that we were required to have in my old state - for sanitary purposes) was a big no-no. I got a lecture about that, and told how clean they are there (not really) because they use new files every time (great for the landfill). #4 You can't put a tip on the credit card bill so you wind up digging in your purse or pocket for cash with a new manicure. Lame. Yes, the pedicure chairs are nice and $35 for a mani-pedi is a good deal but the overall vibe wasn't exactly welcoming. I won't be running back here any time soon. read more
