This is my favorite nail salon and I will never go anywhere else!! The girls always take care of me and my mom. I have to have my acrylic nails done PERFECTLY or else I will pick them off, and Julie gets them perfect every single time. Also, the girls have picked up several special types of polish for me in the past! They treat us like family, and every time I go, I leave thinking about how much I love to go there! I called for appointment on a Saturday afternoon with my husband in tow. We were in rose nails about an hour later and we were pleasantly greeted by Julie. She was excellent and gave a phenomenal pedicure. My husband had his first pedicure and was easily convinced into a manicure to tame his cuticles. The pedicure chairs were large and comfortable and we were both asked several times about the water temperature this was nice that we had an option for adjustment. I have been going to rose off and on since high school and am more than pleased with my most recent visit. 3.5/5 - Brought my mom here as part of her birthday. We both got pedicures. Nice chairs. Not a huge color selection. I chose a French tip, my mom went for a rose color. At first glance, I thought my paint job was done well - and for the most part I think it was, but I noticed the next day that the top clear coat dried with lots of bubbles in it. Luckily it's clear so not significantly noticeable. Still happy with mine. My moms, on the other hand, was very rushed. It was hard for her to relax when feeling like her nail tech was trying to hurry up the whole time. They weren't very busy so not sure what that was about. She had paint on the skin all around her nails, which was a bummer. $55 for both pedicures. read more

My things tennis and good nail care goes a long ways toward eliminating black, ugly, and annoying toe nail infections that are not easy to get rid of. I've had good results from all four of the women that I've tried multiple times. These ladies all speak good English, are easy on the eye, and fun to talk to as well. I just left Rose nails and the was extremely dissatisfied with their services. I am a regular customer, mainly due to the convenient location. I needed an acrylic fill. After being badgered for new nails to be put on, I declined due to the lack of time I had. During the final stages, I received an important business call. I asked if the could wait a few minutes while I finished the call. The woman (don't know her name) proceeded to say no because she had to leave. She packed up and turned the lights off with me still in the salon. They advertise they are open until 7:00pm on the front door and it was 6:15pm! She charged me full price, and I left without polish. This is not the first time they have been extremely rude. I will go out of my way to another salon from now on. Went to this place for the first time today for a full set. Even though they had a full bridal party coming in, they were extremely accommodating! Julie was just as much of a perfectionist as I am and I couldn't be happier. They have fancy COLORED GELS that are beautiful and last twice as long (at least) than traditional polish. My french manicure was not just a painted white strip, but pink and white gels, meticulously placed perfectly. Even the length is perfect, and I have never been happier! Was very surprised with the horrible pedicure I just received when the shop has so many positive reviews. I went in for a simple pedicure and came out with uneven toe nails (cut with clippers on one side but not the other) and paint all over my actual toes. This place was just ok for me....i got it right away, but there wasn't a whole of people in the place either. The women I had was on her break, so when she came back in she wreaked of cigarettes and bo....not a hot combination. So i got past it, she was absolutely the sweetest women and listened to everything i wanted done for my nails. Of course, the nail ladies always look at you and say "ok....ok" but my nails were just ok....not what i was looking for...i've had worse. But besides my nails looking ok....i felt like the place was kind of shady with its hygiene and sanitation. Her License to do nails was expired, and being an esthetician, if state board were to come in, that would be a fine! The nail bottle that was supposedly was the 'gel' was covered up with silver nail polish so you were unable to tell if it was really 'gel' or not. could be regular 'top coat'...there was spills, brushes lying around and kind of messy...but like i said the women was very sweet and gentle! i'm still on the prowl for a great nail place! read more

I was in town on vacation and wanted to get a pedi. Based on the reviews, I chose Rose Nails. The prices were competitive and I was able to get in right away. The did a great job on my pedicure and I opted for a manicure as well. I have to say, it is weeks later and my toes still look great - no chips. Plus, the manicure was the most long-lasting one I have had. I wish I lived near by so I could go back. small family-owned and operated shop tucked into a nondescript strip mall came to my rescue while in the midst of an Emergent Nail Crisis on vacation. the pedicure chairs are da bomb. some silly girl fell asleep in hers, and I think her technician wanted to allow her beauty rest (either that or she hated her), except that the snoring, drooling, and panties showing were really not all that beautiful. cuticles were well managed, altho my hands did start to peel a bit after a couple of days. could've been a bit more aggressive with calluses and more precise with the polish application on the toes, but who really inspects those, anyway. read more

I haven't been here for a year. They have new pedicure chairs with all kinds of massage settings--nice. As soon as I walked in, without an appointment, I was greeted. I was immediately offered a pedicure chair. My technician was fast and very friendly. I was in a quiet mood, choosing to relax with the massage and then to read a book. She did not disturb me. I decided to add on a manicure, and Julie was quick and efficient-- and very friendly. Total charge $35.00, plus tip. I was in and out in under an hour. I need to pamper myself more often. For the area (PG) this is the best deal in that prices are low ($35 for a mani/pedi) and, while they prefer cash/check, they accept credit cards. I think perhaps I would have loved this place had I visited at a different time. I was surprised to see it so busy at 4pm on a Wednesday. First, I didn't receive any greeting/acknowledgement for a while upon entering. Then someone asked what I wanted, and after I responded mani/pedi, she didn't give me any more directions/ended the conversations. Then, I felt Jennifer (I think was my person's name) was rushed and as a result did not do a great job. Actually I was scared she was going to accidentally cut me because she was being rough and she kept looking away for extended times while cutting. In addition to feeling rushed, she did not pick up that I did not want to engage in much small talk. (She was also difficult to understand.) She also decided that she wanted to add a color under the sparkly one I chose for my toes. She ended up adding a pink under layer, which I didn't want and wasn't asked if I wanted. Luckily, she didn't do the same to my finger nails. Then when I paid, she was expecting a greater tip, so asked me again how much I wanted to leave. (I was uncomfortable, so I left more even though I shouldn't have done so). When I left, I still felt guilty not leaving even more of a tip, but then I looked at my nails and noticed she actually missed the sides of one of the toe nails and two of my fingernails. Perhaps I was spoiled by the plethora of cheap nail salons in the Bay Area. It's unfortunate there's no other nail salon near by that is of equal (or less) cost and also accept credit cards. I'll have to try some of the places in Marina/Seaside and compare. I was hoping to like (and be able to afford) something nearby. read more
