Best! Massage! Ever! My husband and I had an appointment and it had to be rescheduled due to an emergency with the massage therapist which was no worry and they were great about rescheduling when we were available. When we got there they'd given us an upgrade due to the "inconvenience" which I'd say it wasn't at all especially since everyone was so nice about it! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and walked us through the whole process and even brought us water afterward. We'll definitely be returning next time we're in town! read more

Soo, great masseuse, she was so kind and relaxing and very nice, very concerned about my comfort and did what she did to make me feel as good as possible! They gave me a little slip that was the pre appointment questionnaire, and on it there was a spot asking about places to focus on. I put down neck and lower back, but I don't think the masseuse checked it because there wasn't any emphasis on those spots, so make sure to actually tell them if you want something specific. My only con with this place (such great kindness and such a beautiful spa) is that the massage was short. My bf got me 90 mins for my bday! which was $220, which would be fine if my massage wasn't like 75 mins :(. It started at ~5:20 (appointment was @5:15) but they stopped massaging at 6:35. I dont know if that's standard for places but it felt unfair to charge 90 mins for all that, I was even out the room by 6:40 even though he planned on picking me up at 6:45. I tipped pretty low because of it :| Even though the masseuse was so nice I just feel like my bf got ripped off a little bit. Definitely come if you are not afraid to speak up for yourself, other than those two things the service was great, and the spa is gorgeous read more

I had a deep tissue massage here ($160 + tax). It wasn't the deepest tissue massage I've had (was more of a Swedish style), but I still enjoyed it. I wish I got the name of my masseuse because she was so sweet. She really tried hard to work the spots she found tension in. The lobby is relaxing and the spa in general, is beautiful. They play relaxing classical music during the massage. read more

I recently booked a package which included a massage, facial, and pedicure for myself and my best friend for her birthday. Overall we had a very relaxing experience. We both agreed that the massages were just ok and were a little lacking, compared to what we are use to however the pedicure and facials were amazing. The lady who did my facial provided recommendations for my skin routine and my face felt amazing afterwards. The ladies who did our pedicures really took their time and gave great suggestions for restaurants in the area since we were visiting from out of town. Overall, we had a a great experience. read more

The spa package is the way to go, worth every penny. I had the massage, facial, pedicure. Enjoyed every bit of it. read more

I have mixed feelings on this place. It's located in a lovely part of Monterey. Upon walking in, it has wonderful, calming spa vibes. It's nicely decorated and the person at the front desk was very kind. We had a couples massage and our two masseuses were also very kind and made everything feel very comfortable. The downfall were the massages themselves. Everything else was perfect but the massages left much to be desired. My masseuse had a very gentle approach but I felt like it was much more of relaxation with some massage incorporated which differed greatly from other massages I've had. The massage my husband received left him sore. I think this business has a good thing going, I just don't think the massages are on point. And that's hard for me to say because I really liked my masseuse as a person, just not as far as a massage. read more

Love Monterey Day Spa! Just had a 90 minute CBD massage from Louiie, the best massage I have ever had there! The staff there is so nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this place. Can't wait to go again and this time I'll have a facial, they give great facials too. read more

Had a nice manicure and pedicure today with Tayla. I have incredibly short nails because of anxiety issues and she didn't make me feel self conscious about it at all. She was really kind and understanding and knew the colors available really well. I enjoyed my time with her and my nails look great read more

Dropping my rating because the business never responded to my concerns and to be clear, this was the worst massage experience I've ever had and for a high price. Avoid Sylvie at all costs. read more

Not only is the entire spa an absolute dream, the staff was incredible, and the service was outstanding. I have chronic pain, and after my massage with CBD cream, I was entirely pain free for seven hours (which has not happened in over four years). Ethan was incredible, and I felt so incredibly pampered. Thank you for the most incredible experience, and for those pain free hours with my kids where I could actually enjoy myself. I will absolutely be back! read more

It's was great and relaxing. The ambiance when you walk in is soothing. I had the CBD massage and omg it was relaxing and soothing. My masseuse was so professional and we had a good conversation. When I return to Monterey I will go back to Monterey Day Spa and ask for Louis. read more

I had an excellent experience at Monterey Day Spa with Ethan Santa as my masseur. He was gentle and attentive. The pressure was on the lighter side than I typically get, but I was so relaxed and found myself wishing I had another 90 mins. I'm definitely coming back and requesting Ethan. Same name as my nephew so it'll be easy to remember. read more

I absolutely love this place. I primarily get my nails done here and have recommended this place to my mom and sister. I haven't gotten the chance to try out any other services but my mom and sister have, they loved it!! Everyone is so welcoming and kind. Lan does an amazing job with making me feel comfortable and relaxed when I get my nails done. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a self-care day. read more

I booked the Tranquil Retreat Package which included 90 min Swedish massage + hot stones (+25) 60 min Signature Facial + CBD neck massage (+10) Me and my boyfriend were super excited bc we don't usually splurge on massages and facials.. but it was our 10 year anniversary and it was great and totally worth it. We did get the couples massage room which was nice. They provided us with a robe, sandals and a basket for our belongings to carry to our facial room. We had Ethan & Manuel for massages and they were both great. For facials we had Miranda and Megan and they were also both great! Over all I would recommend for a nice massage day! Great location and great staff! read more

Miranda was so nice and gave a very relaxing facial! Loved the atmosphere and service.

Chandler checked me in and was so kind. I was there early and she chatted with me while waiting. The massage and body scrub were superb and so was the facial. Highly recommend! read more

Perfect service, great experience, very nice employees. The message was very helpful for my back problems

The staff is so friendly and Lan did an amazing job with my pedicure. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing.

The classic pedicure was perfection! The spa experience was relaxing with a gentle soothing environment. Lan, who has taken care of me before, is very kind and personable. Her sugar treatment and massage were so relaxing and good for my legs and feet. I prefer the sugar scrub as it is gentle to my skin but still smooths the surface. It had been a while since I'd gone there for a pedicure and I'm so glad I chose to return here! read more

My wife and I booked a sweetheart package for a 30-minute soak and a 80-minute Swedish massage, which we upgraded to a deep tissue massage a few days ahead. Ambiance: The venue is small, cozy, and definitely relaxing. Everything from the decoration, atmosphere, music, etc. is great and on point for a spa. Staff: Super friendly, respectful, kind, and welcoming. Even when they were running slightly late with our appointment (bathtub wasn't filling fast enough) they were nice about it and made sure that we received the full service time. Bathtub soak: Perfect. My wife and I loved this, especially the bathtub jets. The tub was clean and incredibly relaxing. Massage: Unfortunately, this was our least favorite part. My wife and I both enjoy deep tissue massages, but our massages weren't deep tissue at all. We think there was a miscommunication with the staff because we definitely got a Swedish massage instead. We should have spoken up earlier in the beginning of the massage and mentioned it at the counter, but we thought that maybe they were just starting off and going to apply firmer pressure down the road. We also didn't look at the electronic receipt until we got home and realized we were charged for a deep tissue massage instead of a Swedish. Not sure if we want to go back. All things considered, it was a good experience, but we'll probably get our massages elsewhere. read more

I had a great massage here! I noticed they gave pedicures, too! Next time I'm back in Monterey I'll get one here...

When you first walk into this Spa, it smells of luxury and relaxation. The setting is very inviting and well kept. Lot's of products to indulge in, if you wish. This is a full service Spa with many treatments available. The staff is very warm and welcoming. My firs time here, I booked 3 hours of treatments. a) Citrus Body Scrub-60 minutes b) Swedish Massage-60 minutes c) Botanical Brightening Facial-60 minutes The Citrus Body Scrub was interesting. My skin did feel rejuvenated after that treatment. I just would have liked a bit more scrubbing up front of the oils, which are applied after the 1st procedure. I did have higher hopes for the Swedish Massage and brought this to the attention of management and it was addressed immediately. The Brightening Facial was o.k., I would try another treatment with a little more oomph. This was a tad too lite for me. It is a really nice facility, check it out if you are in the area. They are most accommodating, so do share what your needs and expectations are upon arrival. read more

Always amazing and every time we enter we leave feeling refreshed and ready for the day

We had a lovely experience with Monterey Day Spa. I booked my mom for the 90 minute CBD Massage as a birthday surprise, and she absolutely loved it! We were even running 15 minutes late, and the staff was so understanding and kind. The masseuse even went 15 minutes overtime, which was above and beyond!! Thank you Monterey Day Spa- we will definitely be back. P.S. the candles they use smell AMAZING!! read more

This was my first time getting a facial from Monterey Day Spa and I was thoroughly impressed! Miranda was amazing and made me feel truly pampered. She explained what treatments would work best for my skin and what products would be helpful. They use top-of-the-line products for their services. The next day a customer complimented my skin and said it was like a porcelain doll. I have been to the Spa at Pebble Beach multiple times for facials and this service was superior to theirs. I will be going back monthly from now on! read more

Monterey Day Spa - Before and After 90 Minute Facial - Day Spas Near Me - Monterey, California

I got the massage/facial package. Manuel was my masseuse, and he asked for information that catered to a personalized massage experience. I had been packing and moving in between working at the hospital as a nurse, so needless to say, my back was a wreck this week. He not only gave a phenomenal massage that had me basically falling asleep and relieved so much of my back pain, he also provided me with tips for maintaining my lower back at home. Definitely coming back to him. Isabel helped with my facial, and she demonstrated the standards of this spa by also catering to my facial needs based on the appearance of my skin and customizing the facial with what I hoped to achieve. My face came out even smoother the next day. Highly recommend these two! read more

I just finished a 90 minute CBD massage with Ethan, and it was THE BEST MASSAGE! Ethan has a wonderful flow to giving massages. We visited the Monterey Day Spa as a bachelorette party of 8. All the services that were provided were amazing! We participated in the "Sparty" they offer and have listed on their website, however the waiting area is not comfortable for 8 girls. The spa was not able to accommodate all 8 girls at the same time, so it was a long afternoon of sitting around waiting. They provided glasses for our champagne but originally did not give us enough. They offered us extra stools to sit on, but other than that the customer service was subpar. It was awkwardly placed and other customers were looking at our table of refreshments like they could help themselves and other guests made us feel like we were in the way. We should have booked the whole spa or gone somewhere else. read more

We booked a couples massage yesterday and it was such a wonderful experience. Manny and Mia were the ones who worked on my husband and I. It was his first time getting a massage and he felt so relaxed. Manny did such an amazing job working on me. They both talked so softly and were so nice. Poor customer service. There was confusion with my appointment and the service was not great.

The spa was really very nice. Customer service wasn't very welcoming and we booked a couples 60 min massage that wasn't so good the young lady that massaged me didnt know what sac he was doing it didnt feel like a massage at all it felt like sac he was just rubbing oil on me I didn't feel like it was worth it and a waste of time on my birthday. my husband told his person when ask he wanted more attention to his feet and she never even massage his feet only rubbed oil on them. he sure if they are licensed tech or not but they asked if the pressure was good or if we needed more. I wouldnt waste my money going here. But again nice spa read more

I've never had a bad service here! Crystal B is my go to girl for all things waxing and her facials have my skin looking so much better. If you want an excellent and relaxing deep tissue massage, Ethan is the way to go. He made sure I felt comfortable and secure the entire time! The whole esthetic of the spa contributes to a feeling of calm and relaxation. I love that they always offer the restroom before services and don't make you feel bad about a small delay while you go to the restroom. The prices are so reasonable, especially when you consider the expensiveness of the area. Parking can be a bit difficult at times but I've had a staff member move their own vehicle before so I could park and another come outside the building to assist me in getting a parking spot. You cannot get better customer service! read more

What a wonderful find! I was looking for a good place for a facial while on a weekend away. I drove past the Monterey Day Spa and decided to book an online appointment. I'm so glad I did!! I had a 12:45 appt. and was taken in on time. Alexandra was amazing! This was the best facial I ever had. I had a mix of the Oceana and the Brightening facial. The mask she put on my face after all of the cleansing was soooo coooling! We discussed various products and she even wrote me some instructions for something I purchased. This was no-pressure sales. I was thankful for the advice! The best part is that this was about 20% less expensive than the big spa in town, but a way better facial. I come to Monterey often and will absolutely be back. I highly recommend this spa! read more
