Seems i was the last to review them 2 years ago. I went in gave it another shot. Did not get a pedicure but i got a full set dip powder nails. They looked good no they looked great. People were very nice. I thought great finally a place by my house maybe i was wrong first go around. 2 days later they started popping off. I went back they fixed it. Came here in the afternoon there was two customers one getting a pedi and another getting nails done I came in with my mother and I was a faint hello I spoke back and said hi how are you in an excited way because its been a while since ive gone to get my nails done I recieved no response I sat down with my mother and well.... That was it no one asked what we wanted to have done today no one said how long of a wait ...nothing!! And it wasnt busy it started to feel more of a bother to them that we came in so after a couple more minutes of waiting we left we found another place it is great its on beaver grade road its further from where I live but worth it!!!!!!! read more

Fancy Nails - Came into this location NEVER going back again - Nail Salons Near Me - Coraopolis, Pennsylvania

This isn't my usual salon to use, but after getting a gift certificate to Fancy Nails, I went to give it a try and use the gift card..this was my 3rd visit on that gift card..and Fancy Nails lost a " would be" customer for good. I made an appointment for a mani/pedi..its Easter Saturday and they have 3 employees working. After my pedicure, when I'm told to sit for 15-20 minutes to allow the nail polish to dry, the woman waiting on me goes on to do 2 mire women's pedicures. I'm thinking, why am I just sitting waiting fir my pedicure to dry..shouldn't she have started my manicure while my pedicure is drying rather than start 2 more pedicures??? After 20 minutes, I finally speak up when the woman who did the manicure asks me to pay. When I finally say, " I scheduled a manicure too" the owner, I assume, tells me to come back another day (they were closing soon). I was appalled..I SCHEDULED a manicure and tomorrow is Easter..I wanted my nails done too! I paid ( with my gift card) and left...I also own a business and would never treat a customer I was treated..the only way to right this wrong, is to never go back..and leave this review..lol. read more

I called to see if I could come in for just a toes painting. The gentleman was so nice and said sure come on in. When I got there, the owner was visibly upset that I was there. The owner was telling her client how upset she was. The woman who did my toes was sweet and very kind. She apologize and the gentleman also apologized. The owner not once made eye contact with me or apologize for her behavior. I've been going to fancy nails since I moved to the area five years ago. Now it's time for a new salon. read more

I've been here before and always had a good experience. This time however I got the surly male owner!! He was not nice at all and was extremely rough. I have cuts all through my cuticles and around my nails. He additionally was pushy and tried hard to upsell. I will either not go back or ensure I am never serviced by him! read more

***CASH ONLY FOR TIPS*** This nail salon is actually in the Giant Eagle shopping plaza off University in Moon. The staff here talk and joke with you, which I love since I am naturally a talker. :) The prices are decent to normal. They do not have tanning beds at this location and I dont think they do eyebrows. For me, its a perfect location. Subway is next door. Wines and Spirits is 2 doors down and Micheal's Hairloft is a few doors down so I can stop in and get a tan or get my hair done. See, perfect location! lol Thanks for reading. read more

I unfortunately was only able to go here once before moving soon after to a location that does not allow me to continue returning every few weeks. However, I did not wait more than 10 minutes to be seen, the young lady who performed my fill and polish change did an excellent job. My only complaints are that their color selection is not very vast, most colors are very similar and not many bold colors. And, the young lady who did my nails, while she does excellent work, she was grumpy and quite rude when asking questions about my nails or taking personal requests from me. She also failed to pay attention to me once I was drying and I wasn't sure how long since the dryers are only fan and not the lighting that I am used to. (I ended up smudging my nail, and she had another client so couldn't fix it) I would return and the prices are quite reasonable. And, location is easy since it's in the Giant Eagle plaza and you can grab lunch or booze! read more

Just wanted a quick manicure. Walked in at 503p, stood there for a minute, 4 techs were working. Not a single person said hi, or invited me to sign in. Two techs looked up and never spoke. I decided to sign in and sit down. Ten minutes past and the furthest tech in the back doing a pedi moved to do nails and approached me. 10 minutes! She asked what I needed and sat back down with no response. I'm not saying I expect to be helped as a walk in immediately, but being greeted and given someone sort of information I feel like is pretty standard. Such a disappoint experience. read more

My car was getting inspected/oil change and I walked over, and almost didn't go because of the reviews. The owner was very nice, and took plenty of time. The polish I picked was giving him a problem, and he redid two nails and grabbed a brand new bottle of polish. No complaints here, I would go again. read more

I had gone to this nail salon for many years and six months ago, I decided that I was extremely unhappy with the service. My sister and I always make an appointment and every time we were there they would take a walk in when they new they had an appointment! I did an internet search and found these folks when I was in dire need of a manicure after having moved to this area the week before. While they weren't overly friendly there, the young man who did my acrylics was outstanding. I have lived in New Jersey, New York, and Vermont - believe me, these people are inexpensive compared to those places (usually $5 per nail for acrylics). I can't speak for local nail salons, though. Their polish selection could be better, but since I was looking for something neutral, I was able to find something. Lots of dark colors, so maybe they should add some bold and bright colors too. I had about a ten minute wait, despite having an appointment, but since I had lots of time that evening, it was no problem. I'll just know from now on to schedule extra time. Tips are cash only, but they do accept credit cards. read more

When Fancy Nails took over this shop circa four years ago they were great. Unfortunately the service has gone downhill. The two owners, husband and wife team are nice and do a good job. That is where the good service stops! The other employees are too busy with their own conversations to listen to your needs. One employee, Lindsay acts as though she is doing you a favor by doing your nails. I stopped giving my business to these people a few months ago. There are other places much better and have tanning beds and do eyebrows. read more

Worst gel manicure I ever received. I got the manicure on a Thursday evening and the following Monday my polish was chipping. Like a previous poster, I'm not sure they even used gel polish, rather I think it was regular polish with a gel top coat. The man spent very little time on my actual nails, did not cut or file them, and used a minuscule drop of cuticle oil, 1 very tiny drop, for all 10 nails. My aunt and I went together and we were the only two people in the salon getting manicures and they sat us at the two furthest stations. I will never return and will get my aunt to come to my normal salon in Robinson. read more

Gel nails chipped in three days and tech was rude and violent with my nails when I went in to have her awful original service rectified. Do not go here! Do not get gel manicure. I've gone to this establishment 3 times before I've brought my mother and sister after I had my baby. I've gone in my uniform and paid for their service but yesterday I went in with my hair changed and regular clothes by myself and two workers one male and one female told me if I didn't book an appointment they can't do my nails. Im thinking to myself they don't recognize me but I'VE NEVER booked an appointment prior to that day to get my nails done and I never tipped any worker less than 20 or 25 dollars for each person working on my hands and nails and I paid for everyones nails I brought with me not only am I pregnant again right now and a veteran but this was really emotionally upsetting I will NEVER go back to be discriminated against again they will never recieve another dollar from me!!!!!!!!!!! Go to Christy, she is really nice and does an excellent job. I have been to several nail salons in the area and she's the best. I get acrylic nails. She gets creative when I let her. I can bring in things that I've seen online and she does them. My nails aren't crooked like I've had at other salons, and they are smooth even at the bottom when they start to grow out. When I moved to Pittsburgh I was so afraid of nail funguses and other complications that can occur with manicures and pedicures that I literally went to places and watched what each salon did. Went to fancy nails on October 10. When I arrived they were nice I asked if they could do a certain design on my nails and the owner looked at it and said no we can't do that. After that I decided why not try chrome style cause I see a lot of people with chrome the guy told me they don't have chrome cause no one gets it I found that odd cause I see a lot of people with chrome like I said the guy was very nice talked to me the entire time when finished I paid and left. Monday October 14 two of my nails popped off and 4 other ones were already lifting. I don't work with my hands much so they shouldn't have been coming off already came to find out a few people have had the same problem with them lifting and coming off. Even tho the guy was very nice I will not recommend nor will I be returning. I am very upset at how much I paid for them to be lifting and coming off 4 days later. They do great wax but I won't even return for that cause I'm not putting money into a place that gave me poor quality nails. Very very upset read more

I called at 11am on a Monday for a full set and they were able to get me in by 1pm. I just recently moved to PA from Florida and have been searching for a nail salon. The previous reviews were too mixed to make a decision so I thought I'd just take a chance and it turned out to be the right one! I followed suit and made an appointment with Christy, the owner. I never write reviews on these types of web sites, but after the performance of this salon today I feel like I should let people know. I have given this nail salon at least 10 pedicures worth of business since moving here to the Pittsburgh area. It is at a great location for me to just pop-in and get the service done I need. But, after today, I will NEVER go back. Every time I walk out of this salon I notice something wrong or reminisce about something that happened negatively while in the salon, but I will not do that any more. I spent $45 on a deluxe pedicure this morning and get home to cracked, half unpainted, crazy short cut toenails. It is beautiful weather outside and I refuse to show these nails off now! It is not even something I can cover up because half of my nail is gone on my big toes! I am literally disgusted with the performance of their skills, attitudes of the workers, and overall cleanliness of the spa. read more
