Gigi was amazing! I almost didn't post this review because I wanted to keep this 'referred to me salon', and the service Gigi provided, a SECRET so she'll be available the next time I visit! I've NEVER gone to a nail salon and had such detail and care of a mani/pedi like she gave. Since my visit, I called to schedule a new appointment but Gigi was not in that day so I waited.... Decided to come here because it's closer to my place! Overall I really liked it! The guy who did my nails was kind of rough with the tools and kind of jerked my fingers, hand and arm around but it didn't bother me enough to say anything and my nails turned out great. Just got them done so we'll see if they chip later.I got an acrylic fill with gel polish at $35 + tip. I only waited 20 min for a walk in. The place was also clean. Kind of small but they have the cutest kid chairs for pedicures (not that I have children) but it's a nice touch! I really liked how quick the the guy was and I like that I was in and out quickly with no small talk (I'm not a talker, I'd rather someone just do my nails and let me be) they also have tanning and brow services ! I used to come here all the time & loved getting my nails done by Lisa, the owner. She is great. However, I just moved back & brought my little sister. She got a pedicure by an older lady who was so unbelievably rude. She was yelling that my sister doesn't take care of her feet because she has a bruised toenail & everyone was staring at my sister. Then she started putting the wrong color on my sisters toes & when I said something she started yelling at my sister "why didn't you tell me, why didn't you speak up, you said this was for your feet" I said "well she's just a kid and it's hard to speak up to someone who is so rude". the lady just laughed and then told another worker to take my sister to the dryer instead of helping her. So far so good quick service and they took me right away! I like knowing the name of whose doing my nails and she didn't tell me hers but she is very nice. It is clean and seems very up to date. They do nails and I see they have tanning. They had the exact color pink I wanted! And they have a huge selection to choose from. BEST message chair I've ever sat in at a nail spa, even out of the places I've been in California. Also they have a girl cleaning and I even witnesses her clean a chair that a customer would've sat in. They have kids chairs for manis and pedis!!! Super cute! read more

The only positive about this place is that they were able to accommodate me on very short notice. I was visiting Pittsburgh and took my sister there with me for some girl time. Whatever colors my sister selected were not available. We got shellac done on our nails which chipped the next day. I have been getting this done for a long time but this is the first time ever that my nails got ruined the next day itself. It felt like they were in a hurry to move people along and hence not paying alot of attention to the customer in their chair. read more

I have came here for 3 years now, and this was by far the worst job I have ever gotten done on my nails. They are all unevenly shaped and there was polish and acrylic on the sides of my skin. I have been getting my nails done on/off for about 8-9 years and this place has been the least professional. They did not explain the particular new colored gel that I was interested in, and did not listen to my request to have a thinner tip with the colored gel. I ended up spending over 50$ because with the colored gel tip, they have to use pink gel (personally, I usually get an all over color) which costs more and again, they failed to mention until payment time. My nails hurt extremely bad about 20 minutes after I left the salon, a strong sign that they filed my nails to much with their various tools. I was seriously tender for more than 24 hours, luckily I have had experienced this maltreatment before so I knew it would eventually go away. Needless to say, I have not returned. ** LADIES - your nails SHOULD NOT hurt from having acrylics.** read more

I had the most unwelcome experience from this salon. I took my 12 year old daughter to get her nails done as well as mine. This was our first time there. The tried up charging for everything from gel, to shape then more money cause more acrylic. The woman who did my nails was the manager i believe and she rushed so fast that i had tips and a full set in less than 10 minutes. They were crooked uneven and did i mention the pain!!! She had her drill so high i think she might have went through my nail bed. My suggestion is Amy at the Walmart nails in moon. She's fantastic!!! Don't waste your time with pro rudeness. They are money hungry and that's it. I asked them to take mine off and my daughter left with her tips still on because the two older nail techs were screaming so loud. read more

I went to this place because it was close. I had a dip on that needed to be removed. First, she sanded the hell out of my nails and it was super hot. My cuticle was knicked-which happens sometimes. She put 2 coats of dip on, which was nice as it wasnt as thick as what I've had. That night, the dip started to chip. I had to wait until Tuesday to go back bc they were closed sun/mon. The owner was very nice about it and the guy came out to fix it. He seemed so pissed and was in a hurry to fix the 3 that chipped. He knocked another cuticle, sanded just the top coat off and added another coat to fix. When the owner saw, she told the younger girl to sand them all down and add a 3rd coat. The owner was super nice. It lasted about 5 days before it started to chip again and eventually breaking my nail off x3. If it would have lasted as it should have, at least 2.5 weeks, I would gave gone back. Unfortunately there were too many factors that I won't be returning. If their finished product improved, I'd consider but only if the owner did them. read more

Won't be going back! My nail tech kept trying to talk me into a more expensive service. I said no politely once. She kept trying and then I sensed some annoyance. She didn't take care of my cuticles at all and then I noticed my right thumb looked griddy/cloudy. It didn't really look like the others. She looked at it once but kept going, not correcting it or explaining to me why it looked like this. I should've spoken up then but didn't, my fault! I am a nursing student, so I have to nave "natural looking" nails. I requested a simple American manicure and walked away with a very obvious pink and white French manicure. She over filed the tops of my nails, causing me to bleed and left me with jagged edges at the ends of my nails. Upon signing my credit card receipt (before she started painting), she did not say thank you or acknowledge that I left her a 30% cash tip. She did not offer to fix my nails when I told her I was not pleased, but rather argued with me when I told her the tips of my nails were too white. I will not be going back there ever. read more

I will never go to anywhere else in the Moon area. The wait is never bad as a walk in, and they even stayed open for me one night. I get almond shaped acrylic nails, and Ming always does a great job. Don't go here! I have gone a few times and usually get stuck with someone very rude. They don't talk at all, I have tried to start conversations and they don't care. I had a gel manicure done last week and they cut me and made me bleed on four fingers. They may be somewhat cheap but there is a reason for that. read more

Came here with a friend so she could get her nails fixed (her acrylics had fallen off or broken in a week, twice!)The lady that did my nails buffed the skin on almost every finger which was painful. I got dip powder nails and they're pretty cool, but they don't look that great. They're lumpy in some places and have texture in others and I had to file the tip of a couple of them when I got home. I also found out that it's unsanitary to actually dip nails in the powder (which I thought might be the case) it should be put in another container or painted on so everyone isn't sticking their fingers in the same powder. They didn't look horrendous so I went on with my life and only a week later they are all lifting already. I don't want to even go back to ask them to fix it, I just won't be back. I feel terrible leaving a bad review especially because everyone was so nice, but I spent $70 here including a brow wax and tip and that's a lot of money for not great results. Also, the brow wax wasn't bad but I don't know that she didn't double dip and I suspect she did cuz I wasn't paying attention. read more

DON'T GO HERE!!!! RUN AWAY!!!! First visit to this salon I wanted my Acrylic nails removed and replaced with Pink and White. They didn't even let me soak my nails in the acetone for more then 2 minutes and then the girl was cutting down my nails with the dermal and cut my nails so far down that it cute my skin underneath. I was in tears at this point and wanted to just leave. They kept apologizing to me and said I didn't have to pay to have the acrylic taken off, it was on them. After I calmed down and let them put the Pink and white nails on (what the hell was I thinking letting them keep touching me) I was all done and I asked the guy that took over for the girl that hurt me, how much it was going to be and he said I OWED THEM $53 dollars. I was so upset and almost didn't even pay them. So to make me feel better he gave me a $5 off coupon for the next visit I came back. At this point I told myself I would never go back... plus his work SUCKED!!!! and my nails looked terrible!!! So a few weeks went by and I needed to get my nails filled and I went to another salon and they wanted to charge me $40 to get my nails filled.. so I left and went back to Pro Nails (which was another horrible mistake on my part) because I had the $5 off coupon and thought maybe the next time would be better. NOT!!! I had another HORRIBLE experience with them and the guy who did my nails the first time screwed my nails up again. I picked out a new color for my tips and he was right next to me when I did and didn't say anything to me about it not working with shorter nails. He made a remake to me during the process of him trying to put this new color on that this doesn't work well with shorter nails... and I said to him "why didn't you tell me that, when I picked it out?" And all he kept saying was it was my fault I picked that color. I even showed the lady who seems to be in charged "Lisa" how bad it looked and they wanted me to come back the next day to fix them because at this point I didn't have time to sit there and wait for them to redo everything. And I told them NO and that I was never going back again!!! He said ok well I'll take $5 off and the price would be $38 (for nails that looked horrible) and I said well I already have a $5 off coupon from the last time I was here. So I want another $5 taken off that price and he literally argued with me for 10 minutes in front of the WHOLE salon full of people. I almost walked out without paying him at all and I even told him I would call the cops if he didn't take another $5 off. So in the end I paid them $33 dollars for NOTHING!!! because now I have to go somewhere else to get them fixed! Do yourself a favor and don't ever go here! read more
