Will never go back! Owner Lisa insisted on me placing my feet into scalding hot water because she refused to add any cool water. She kept insisting I soak my feet that I quickly tried a few times after only a second each as she laughed. Imagine the pain. Arrived 10 minutes early for my scheduled appointment they weren't even busy. No excuse for making me wait until the water cooled down, then proceeded to do my nails while the water continued to cool and she finally added some cool water. No time to go anywhere else because I had an event. I went there for years and that's the last time ever. read more

I tried this salon out today because i needed a quick fill. I walked in right behind another lady who was greeted and escorted to her chair. I signed my name and sat down to wait. 30 minutes later no one had spoken to me or even looked my direction. They were walking back and forth and one was directly in front of me doing a pedicure with zero acknowledgment. I stood up paced a bit then crossed my name out and left. Not even a it will be a wait or anything. Not a way to make new customers. I pride myself on my nails and ALWAYS tip very well. Lost a good one today ‍ read more

For the first time in my life, I had my nails done for my daughter's wedding - a nail salon in Washington, DC. It was a gel manicure. I loved it and is held together well except for normal growth. I couldn't get to a salon until three weeks after the wedding and my nails were a mess. I tried to find a salon between work and home and stumbled on this one. I asked when I arrived for a gel manicure and how long it would be before I could be seen. Receptionist was friendly, went and checked - five minutes - which was fine with me. There were a number of woman there in various stages of manicures and pedicures. The place seemed clean, well lighted and had a friendly atmosphere. Two young girls who came in after me were taken before me, but the manager explained that I would only wait another second or two - which was accurate. So far, I had no problem overcoming my language barrier in communicating with staff. When I sat down with my nail tech, the negative part of my experience began. She tried to remove the polish, which did not come off. She called over the manager, although I could not translate what she said, I surmised this from the actions that occurred. I did sense some frustration on the part of the nail tech. At the end of the conversation, both the nail tech and the manager walked away. When the nail tech came back, she said, as best as I could understand, that if I came in with nails like I had again, I would pay $44 and I would have to pay $44 again. Those were the last words that she said to me in English. She removed the old nails, worked to apply new nails, offered no instruction as to my role in this process except to look at me when I did not move my hands to the proper location in the process and then move them for me. During all the work she did, which was very efficient and looks fine in finished project, she carried on conversations in her native language with other techs in the store. I could not tell if they were laughing at my situation or something else. The techs in DC also spoke English as a second language..but they engaged me in conversation and spoke to each other in English in front of customers. The salon was a bit larger (more chairs) and had many more customres. And, the service was exactly the same price. Technically, Image Nails is a good salon. Personal and professional service is limited. I plan to go back for fill in after two weeks to test the process again, but I am still looking for an alternative. read more

I love Image nails! I float around based on convenience at the moment, but I always end up back at Image. Super friendly and not at all over-priced. I typically get a pink and white but most recently I tried the dip nails and they're awesome! read more

Wanted a plain ole manicure before a wedding when I was in town. Image Nails was the closest, so off I went. The place was pretty busy on a Saturday morning but was taken quickly. The girl was nice and did an excellent job cleaning up and painting my nails. A manicure was only $13 too! I'd definitely go back if I had a need for a manicure next time I'm in town. read more

WILL NOT GO BACK. I took my disabled mother to get her nails done at this salon. I had my 3 year-old daughter in tow. While we waited for my mother, I had my daughter's nails painted. She finished earlier than my mother, and while we were waiting for mom to finish up, my daughter announced that she had to go "potty." Because there were two customers in our party, I figured that there wouldn't be an issue. I asked the owner if my daughter could use the restroom, and she told me that there was someone locked in there and that I should walk my child across the plaza to Panera. Mind you, she is a 3 year-old and Panera was a 5 minute walk from us. I explained that it wasn't an option for me to do this. I sat back down in the waiting area with my daughter, praying that she didn't have an accident. 10 minutes later, an employee of the salon exited the restroom. I was flabbergasted. I want sure how a business couldn't provide a restroom to a paying customer. I guess the situation could have been made better of the owner attempted to see how long it would take for us to access the bsthroom. At that point, it was time to leave, and I helped my mother (who is on a walker) up to the register to pay. I guess the owner thought that we were trying to skip out on the check and began screaming that we didn't pay her. She did this in front of other customers. The pinnacle of this extremely unpleasant experience was when she reprimanded my mother for calling her too frequently to set up an appointment. My mom can no longer drive, and called twice that afternoon. The first call was to see available appointments, (she then called me to confirm that I could take her,) and then called the salon again to make the appointment. The one positive was the the young nail tech that painted my daughter's nails was very sweet. However, due to the lack of professionalism and customer service I would strongly advise against patronizing this business. read more

I used to go here all the time when I was in high school up until my very early 20's (I'm 25 now). They do an okay job. It's pretty small and often quite crowded. I stopped going here because the last experience I had was not good. I got a pedicure and gel done. I didn't realize they do not take tips on credit cards and I didn't have any cash (they used to take the tips on credit cards then stopped, I guess). Before I could tell the tech I would go get some she snarled "Bank's over there" while pointing to the PNC bank across the lot. Since I know tips are important I still gave her the tip but when I went back to give it to her she snatched it out of my hand and didn't say thank you. That was the last time I went there and I will never go back. I go to Luxury Nails down the road now and they are much better in every way. read more

Wanted to give myself a treat, and should've spent the money at another salon. Worst pedicure and manicure ever. Obviously the owner was rushed today. Quickest pedicure ever, other than washing my feet they're still so rough, and the manicure, I wanted a lighter color and really all it needed was another coat , even when I asked she if she could apply another coat she completely ignored me. This place has gone downhill. I used to think they were one of the best places to go, but not sure what happened to their service. Will not be going back, and will never recommend them again. read more

This was my first time here. My mom had tried it and was pleased. Also they were cheaper than where we were currently going. (Never hurts to save money!!!) My techincian's name was Ann and she was very friendly. She was easy to understand and when they found that I was coming from another salon, they were very eager to find out what they could do to keep my business. She was also very detail oriented, which is important to me. Sometimes I would go home from the other salon and find sharp edges or places that they missed with the paint or painted over my skin. I went for a Shellac. (Just a removal and polish change). They have a huge selection of Shellac colors which is also a plus since I have been places that only offered 10-12 colors. It was $20 where the other place I had been going charged $25. They take walk-ins as well as appointments and they took me immediately! I plan on going back for a pedicure in the next week or so and I will make sure that I update my review then. read more

Usually Image Nails is the only place I go to every two weeks for shellac manicure, and pedicure. However, today I had the worst experience. The salon was empty today, and a new woman working did my nails. They turned out horrible. I paid for a shellac manicure and did not receive the message that comes with the service. All nail lengths are completely uneven in length. As well, the edges of my nails were not painted/smoothed out, making it easy for the shellac to come off and it feels very uncomfortable. I'm disgusted with the service, and the recieveing poor work that I could have done myself. Now I know to request certain people that I know can do a good job. read more
