This nail salon is so cute and quaint with a prime location on Washington Road. The inside is new and trendy and they had about 6 techs on when I went on a Monday evening. Because there was no shortage of staff, I was seen quickly and my nails were done within 45 minutes. And my nails looked good! I can't remember the name of my tech, but she was quick and concise and gave me exactly what I wanted. All too often, nail techs do what they think is best without listening and that wasn't the case here. I was only in the McMurray area temporarily so I don't know if I'll be back soon, but if I am, this will definitely be my go to nail place! read more

I was very happy with my experience!! No wait time, I love my nails and this is the cheapest place I have found for dip nail polish, they charge $45, others places charge $50!! I will never get another pedicure from anywhere else. Today was my first visit here and I loved it. Although, we were walk ins and had to wait 45min - 1hr. It was so worth it though. They offer to scrape your feet, which the place I had regularly gone to never did. They got rid of all my dead skin, it was awesome! Their massage chairs were fantastic and the customer service was outstanding. They really seemed to take their time and cared about your pedicure, unlike other places that feel like they rush through it. Next time I will definitely make an appointment. This was my first time at Nail Studio! We had a work party here for about 18 people and I think they did a wonderful job of getting through everyone within 1.5-2 hrs! They were efficient, yet quick, and did a great job of the many requests and demands of many women haha. I enjoy a coffin shape and they did a great job with that. I usually always go for the gel but the one woman convinced me to try the dip so I did-I also not only did the dip, but I did a matte dip which turned out cool! I think I'll try it more often. The staff was very friendly and helpful when deciding. I only wish they would have cleaned up around my nails a bit more as they looked a bit stained blue all over. It was also nice that they allowed my boss to bring in food and drinks for us to have a great time-I definitely recommend this place and would return. I didn't get to check out the prices since our boss paid for us but did peek at a few and for the quality of the work they seemed reasonable. read more

I received the worst customer service for myself, my daughter and her friend. They got their first manicure which I had to continuously argue about why they didn't need gel. They are 11. I had dip done and 7 days later every single one is cracking and falling apart. They were not friendly and I'm not sure why I tipped. They made the young girls feel uncomfortable. I didn't plan ahead and couldn't go to two other salons I preferred because they were booked or closed. So I dropped in here on a Sunday morning and they were so unpleasant. The straw that broke the camel's back is the fact that my nails are failing apart. What a waste of money. read more

Stopped in Thursday after work to get a set of dip gel. They turned out absolutely terrible... she dipped each nail about five times & they turned out wonky. None of my nails are the same size & I just asked for square. PLUS after getting my receipt back I noticed I was charged for "long nail" which was an extra five dollars when my nails look like toes. read more

Best salon in South Hills. I have tried them all for a mani- pedi, gel, dip and this is hands down the best. Clean, friendly staff and owners know your name when you walk in the door. Very professional, nail polish lasts, doesn't chip off or break. Great pedicures too! Relaxing massage chairs while you are pampered. Always accommodating if I walk in without an appointment. Terrible service- wasn't greeted when I walked in and stood at the front desk for a long time while two employees pretended they didn't see me. I had to say "excuse me?" to be acknowledged at all. I was then hastily pointed into a chair where the guy rushed through my nails so quickly I wasn't sure he had ever done it before. My fingers were bleeding after he smoothed my cuticles with the electric filer. To top it all off, my nails did not last even a week. I paid a good amount for a full dip manicure and my nails have broken and chipped like crazy, when i've never had that problem with any other nail shop before. I've been coming here for 6 years off and on, so I've definitely gotten a feel for the place and the service. First, let me say that the technicians, excluding the owners, are fantastic and friendly. Every time I receive any kind of service it is done very well. This is one of the only places that will do callus removal with a tool and not just the cheese-grater-esque shaver that they use (I know there is a technical term for this thingy, but I cannot think of it!). The 3 stars are for the last 3 times I've been here. First, I went to get gel taken off and got sliced by the buffer. After my finger bled for 15 minutes without avail, he wanted to continue working on that finger but I refused. I said I would be back but never returned. Just today I went in with my sister-in-law and we had 1:30 appointments. We were greeted while walking in, but no one seemed to really acknowledge our appointment time. We did not sit in one of the pedi chairs until 2pm!! That is unacceptable. The whole reason to have an appointment is to be seen fairly soon after arrival. My tech today was very sweet, but the poor kid was definitely having some issues. He pretty much scalded my feet with the water even after telling him a few times that it was very hot. Next he ended up accidentally draining my entire tub. Okay, no biggy, we all have off days. The last thing I will say is that it seems if you don't come here regularly (i.e. every other week), you will get attitude from Kim. When my mother came here for the first time, Kim yelled at one of the techs because they were taking their time with callus removal on my mom's feet. Supposedly there was a line of people waiting to be seen so she thought it would save some time, but it's just rude. Y'all need to be aware of your appointment book and some people need attitude adjustments. I haven't decided whether or not I will return. read more

I was a little nervous when I saw the negative reviews, but overall it was a good experience. The employees communicated clearly and calmly with me about what I wanted, even though I was unsure what I wanted. I had old gel and acrylic tips on, but Kim removed them quickly and (for the most part) painlessly. There was one nail that she removed the acrylic too quickly and it split my real nail down the middle, but she was very kind and apologized and made sure to take extra care to avoid the split for the rest of the time. She was neat and precise and my nails turned out pretty good. It was a little pricy, but that can be expected for powder nail polish and acrylic tips. read more

Not at all impressed. New to the area from Chicago and came here a few times with my boyfriend's mom as it was her "go to" salon. Always got a gel manicure, as I have for years! Recently received one from a new tech and it was chipping like crazy in under a weeks time. Called and was assured they would fix it, no problem... only to be treated rudely and unprofessionally when I got there. I was then charged for a full gel mani AGAIN. Never will return ! read more

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Went with a friend and they were very rude to both of us.. nail tech was pushing our hands back in our faces when they wanted us to switch hands. Upon payment they tried to charge my card without telling me the price first. Lady laughed at me when I asked them to remove my nail polish from the previous acrylic nail set because the tech did not remove it completely as they should. Accidentally bumped my hand on a dryer and asked for them to touch up the polish and she looked at me and said "come on, really?" In a very rude tone. I have never felt so uncomfortable and not welcome in an establishment. read more

Stopped by on Dec. 29 and waited for an extremely long time...which I wouldn't mind if the place was busy, but at least two of the technicians had no customers. I had almost decided to leave when they called me. The next day, the acrylic on two nails chipped off. And more chipped in the next few days. I have been to this salon before I was very happy. Not this time was very disappointed will never go back. I even recomended this nail salon to my friends on how good they were. I am so sorry to all my friends that I told to go there. DON'T GO THERE!! I got a fill done and gel put back on my nails. While the tech was taking off the gel he knick me twice cause me to bleed. After a couple of days it work like I needed another fill done. Was very unhappy with the tech makes me mad I gave him such a good tip when he deserve none. read more

Horrible customer service. The owner makes a lot of snarky remarks in plain English. They have just lost 4 regular customers as me and my friends have gone there atleast 4 times and we were going to use that place as our regular nail salon. This placed is owned by a couple and the lady has a really condescending and rude attitude, and behaves like they are doing you a favor! read more
