The only reason I'm giving this place two stars instead of one is due to the price. If you want cheap nails, you can get them done for a fraction of the cost of other salons. In terms of service, however, this place gets one star. First, my appointment was at 1:45 and was not started until 2:15. This was forgivable, but there were many other issues as well. The jobs seemed rushed, with one stylist trying to do my manicure quickly AS my pedicure was being completed, an attempt at multitasking that resulted in a rush job on both ends. It took 40 minutes total to get a gel manicure and pedicure...not a compliment but a jab at how haphazard each service was. The manicurist slopped gel paint on my fingernails and my toenails were cut so forcefully that they hurt. In addition, everything was dirty...the bathrooms, the glass panels separating you from the stylists, and the table where I got my fingernails done were all not cleaned before I used them. The last straw, however, was the conduct and casual racism of the stylists. They would take phone calls from telemarketers on speaker, make fun of their accents, and call them derogatory names in front of their customers, as if it was a funny joke that we should all be in on! I love to support small, family-owned businesses, but not if they are not being respectful to or caring of their clients. Will not be back. read more

i've gotten my nails done here a handful of times. every time i am very satisfied with the finished product. Jenny and Tom are very kind and talk to you. Prices are very reasonable. they sometimes ask what music you would like to listen to or ask what movie you would like to have on. if a nail gets broken or messed up you can go back and they will fix it with no added cost! i love it here and i will continue to come back! read more

I went to this nail spa for the first time and the service was terrible. They are so expensive for no reason. The customer service is horrible. My nails were crooked , uneven, and the polish was still see through after 3 coats of paint. I will never go there again and I'm definitely spreading the word. First, the woman was on the phone and texting with other clients for 75% of my appointment. I was there for two hours for a gel mani/pedi that could've easily been done in almost half the time. To soak off the gel polish you have to stick your hand in a bowl of acetone for half an hour and it leaves your fingers feeling dry and nasty. I've gone here twice when my usual place was booked and both times my gel polish chipped/started peeling after about three days (a problem I've never had before, even after getting gel polish for the last four to five years). I gave it two chances, but will not be going back. read more

I've visited this salon twice now and I've been very happy both times! Really reasonable prices, convenient location and hours, and very professional and comfortable atmosphere. Tom & Jenny are the owners and the technicians, and they are both very friendly and very talented. They have a nice selection of gel colors and regular colors, as well as other services they offer (although I can't comment on those as I've only had my nails done and with regular polish). I will most definitely continue going here for my mani and pedi needs, and probably for more in the future, as long as they continue to deliver great services and such fair prices! I first went to Tom when he was at another salon. I LOVED his work. I had him do nail art many times and was thrilled with the outcome. I was amazed at how he just picked up a brush and hand painted designs on my nails. Then I tried to book an appointment with him and was told he was not working that day. I had my nails done by another technician, but was not pleased. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when I saw that Tom and Jenny opened up their own salon. The salon is beautiful and the environment is welcoming and friendly. Plum Nails has SO many options for your nails. The color choices are practically limitless. There are literally hundreds of choices. I always book in advance since I need a Saturday appointment, but I know they will take walk-ins as well.
