This was some of the worst bbq that I have had. I ordered through Uber eats for pick up. The food was disgusting. The ribs were dry with very little meat. The baked beans had tons of meat and very few beans. Two rectangular slices of pineapple (2''x4'') constitute a complete side. And the corn bread muffin that is included in the southside rib tips meal was missing from both orders. Of course the restaurant would not answer the phone when I called to inform them of the missing item. Uber Eats was ZERO help in resolving the matter. I explained the corn bread muffin was part of the meal that I was charged for but the Uber eats worker continued to state that I wasn't charged for a corn bread muffin. I gave two stars instead of one because I have eaten there before when the food was good. For their prices, Famous Dave's is too inconsistent with the quality of their food and should be ashamed to not give you all the items that you pay for. One napkin per meal is also ridiculous for a bbq pickup order. read more

We had put in an order for an All-American BBQ Feast for our family dinner so nobody felt pressured to cook. Our order confirmation told us to pick up our order at 5:37pm. We first went to pick up our order around ~5:45pm. Upon arrival, the staff informed us it wasn't ready, that it would take 15 more minutes. We went to another store in the meantime. We came back and they said it was still it ready. It was already ~6:00pm. Eventually when we returned, it still wasn't ready. At this time, it was 6:15pm. I asked to speak to a manager since it seemed ridiculous that our order was 40 minutes late. Their staff apologized stating that they were "very busy". Their manager, Matthew, quickly came out with our order "magically" completed. He apologized for the wait, but that's it. It was pretty disappointing they expected their customers to just deal with how busy they were. It would have just been better to put a realistic pick-up time instead of expecting us to wait 40 minutes after the pickup time they stated. read more

The brisket was tender, juicy, and wonderful! The burnt ends were scrumptious, and the ribs were so tender and juicy they practically fell off the bone! Their beans, coleslaw, and cornbread were all great, and the Mac-n-cheese, just wow! The only drawback was their "sweet" tea - which didn't live up to my Southern sweet tea standards (but by no means will it keep me from coming back). I'm so happy we stopped as I had heard good things about them and had been wanting to try them. Everyone was polite, courteous and friendly. If you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend you do. Food is great. My husband loves the ribs. I love the manhandler sandwich. Service is always good. We eat here about once a week.

The level of customer service has really dropped off at this location and it's a shame since we've enjoyed many lunches/dinner here previously. Dropped in yesterday, only to be greeted by a very abrupt & rude hostess. Complete lack of customer service and definitely in the wrong job! Additionally, the manager onsite has no business in his role. Wish I had gotten his name but didn't - skinny guy with lots of tattoos on his arms. How he's in a leadership role with a service-focused business blows my mind! We will not be returning anytime soon. What a very pleasant experience! We walked in and were greeted with smiles and positivity! The music was on point, the temperature was right and the menu was FULL of options! My husband and I both chose the pick 2 meals. He with ribs/chicken and me with chicken/catfish fingers. Came here because it was close by. I ordered the bbq baked potato with a side salad. The potato and bbq was decent. Service was great. The real issue came when I found a fly in my salad. The manager did comp our meal which was nice. Not sure if I will be back but it's a maybe. I will say the corn bread muffin tasted really good and I liked their sauces. read more

We were visiting El Paso for a business meeting. We were so excited to go to Famous Dave's BBQ since there are none in our area. Each time visiting PHX AZ that's one place we have to go. Unfortunately today they fell short in this location. We ordered, and asked for our ticket at the same time so we won't be late going back to our meeting. It took almost 40 minutes to get our food. Additionally brisket was so dry, ribs were burned. They were the corner pieces that should have not been served. Our waiter took our Oder and asked for 2 sides, later we were charged for second side because lunch Manuel's comes with one side. Why did he asked for 2 if they only comes with one. And if it was his mistake, they should've just do it without even bringing it up. We didn't want to have to wait again to send it back but I definitely will not go back to this location. So seeing how I was just coming home for days off and my wife was in no shape to help prepare our Easter meal, we decided to order from Famous Dave's. We were having my in-laws and our son and daughter-in law over so we decided to order 2 of their All-American feasts that includes chicken, pork ribs and we opted for the brisket. They also came with beans, coleslaw, fries and cornbread. I ordered online the day before and went the went to pick up our order, there was no hassle as the platters were ready. For the food home and everything was fine but there was a bit too much fat on the brisket so I'd recommend whomever trims their meat do a better job. Well, this was an unexpected turn of events. I have heard so many good things about this place and had sampled their food through catered parties and what not. It seemed promising and my friend would rave about it because they have mac and cheese and fries lol. So ok! I'll give it a try! It was difficult to pull away from my true bbq love, Rudys. So i really hoped it was gonna be great. It truly wasnt. The bbq was all wrong for us. The brisket and rib tips all seemed dry and not a very tasty rub of flavors. The chicken tenders even had a quality of something i could make at home. Potato salad and mac n cheese, just not good. I didnt realize their mac n cheese would have a bunch of extra stuff like a jalapeno flavor and corn and other herbs. The potato salad was just really starchy and didnt have a good flavor neither. Prolly the only thing i enjoyed was their cornbread muffin. To make matters worse, we tried to order a Rum fruit punch cocktail, or something like that, and specified no pineapple juice since my husband is allergic to it. Our waitress said she would let them know to hold the pineapple juice and substitute for something else. She comes with the drink and a grilled pineapple wedge in it. We pointed it out and she said she would let me have it free of charge since im not allergic and she would get another one made right. Cool. The 2nd one comes through, my husband tries it, and starts salivating heavily as a reaction to most likely pineapple juice. So he let me have it again. We didnt bother pointing it out anymore. This was my #1 BBQ places for years but the last two times have been very bad.. The first time August 14th, I created an online order and even paid for it...When I got there, they didn't have it.. The girl upfront didn't even apologize and ask me if I wanted to reorder, so I just left... The second time was on September 4th and I ordered the 3 Meat Combo and the ribs were all bark and no meat on 2 of them... I wish I had looked before I got home, but I don't need 3 strikes.. Was there even a "manager" there? Why would you take more orders than you could handle? That's a greedy mentality. I took the time a week ago to place my order for this reason alone. To allow you ample time to get it together. Since I can't reply to your response. How are you under staffed with girls standing at the door waiting to seat no one and a line around the building? Aww man! These guys went out of their way for me on more than one occasion! They went the extra mile! I ordered their food twice for pickup in May for my family. Once for Mother's Day and a second time for my son's first Holy Communion. We had family over both days so I ordered it over the phone. I had to make changes to the order more than once and it didn't bother them one bit when I called. They didn't mess it up either! Amazing! I was getting mixed up myself but not them. The food was plentiful and tasty. The only complaint I have is that the brisket had a ton of fat both times. Everything else tasted good and fresh. I love their Devil's spit barbecue sauce. It gets very spicy if you keep eating it. I wanted to try their brownies but they're too pricey (around $7 each)! I bought my son one but didn't get to taste it unfortunately. It comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I would say this is probably my favorite Famous Dave's in town. I had food from another one sometime back and I got very sick. I had food poisoning for some days :( If you're having a party or get together, these guys are great! They'll even deliver it to your house for an additional $20. I went and picked it up both times. My first time dining in at the George Dieter location, it was a typical bbq chain experience. My brisket was fatty so it was a huge fail. When a bbq place serves subpar brisket with so much fat you can't stomach it, then I tend to think no one is really checking the food on its way out of the kitchen. I seriously doubt the cook or manager would've eaten it. The ribs were good with plenty of meat on them. They were so tasty I didn't even need much sauce. Speaking of sauce, there's plenty to choose from here. I enjoyed the sassy & sweet version. It was happy hour so draft beer was a hit as well as my margarita. This was just a quick lunch date and it seemed a bit pricey at nearly $60 for two, when one entree was a sandwich & fries. I give this place 3 stars, food quality and price were leading factors. It is odd that one can love Barbeque as long as I have and have never heard of Famous Dave's, I noticed this place while changing tires next door and decided to try it. Pros: The Ribs and Brisket are quite yummy! I love how there are many sauces to try out, including 'Georgia Mustard,' 'Texas Pit', and 'Devil's Spit'. Have fun trying them all! The waiting staff is super friendly and the service is fast, you'll love the casual atmosphere too! Cons: Dude, what is up with the Hot Links?! I have a high standard for sausage, especially from a bbq joint, and you can thank Rudy's & Salt Lick for my discerning taste. The sausage here is sub-par, and that's gonna cost them a star, good sausage is a must! Also its a little pricey. I had absolutely no idea they were a chain until I looked them up to yelp, it makes sense as the atmosphere is very chain-ish, but that's not a bad thing.
