Excellent dinning experience. A plethora of all kinds of meats and food to grill to your liking. Lots of different condiments to try. Nice and responsive staff. Definitely demands a return soon!

Thank you Gio and Sean!! Wonderful servers! Gios from Hawaii and Sean is from Houston , hopefully they stay at this location because they are the best servers to have! Always checking in and making sure you have everything you need. We love coming here, the vibe is always fun and it's a cool place for a date night. See you next time!!

We had the best time! This was our first time to a Korean BBQ and it was great! We went around 12:30 on a Saturday and were seated right away. The table and seating was comfortable. The hostess and waiter both explained the menu very well. We opted to try the premium option. And the total ended up being a little more than $100 for two people plus tip. It's unlimited food for 2 hours. Everything was great!! I have zero complaints the wait staff was very friendly and the flavor of all the food was great. I can't wait to go back

This is our 4th time coming and the waiter Elijah has been one of the best and stands out. We have had a few not so great waiters here but everytime it's Elijah , it has been great. He is always helpful and attentive. He has made our time here worth coming back to and we enjoy our time here. The food has always been very delicious and we recieve our food pretty quickly. I reccomend for sure!

SOFT OPENING REVIEW: GEN KOREAN BBQ IN EL PASO We finally tried Gen KBBQ during their soft opening -- and here's everything you need to know before you go: Pricing Lunch AYCE (Monday-Thursday until 3PM): $20.95 (34 items) Dinner AYCE (after 3PM, weekends, and holidays): $31.95 (47 items) Premium AYCE: Add $20 for wagyu, short ribs, and other upgraded cuts Our total for two with Premium and appetizers came out to $118 -- well worth it for the amount and quality of food. There's a 2-hour limit per table, and everyone must order from the same menu tier. It's fair and helps keep things moving for other diners. What We Loved Chadol (brisket) Pork Jowl Wagyu Sweet Garlic Short Ribs Beef Belly and Short Plate The sweet garlic marinade paired with the sesame soy dipping sauce was absolutely delicious. There were no rice paper wraps (due to supply issues), but the pickled radish worked just fine. We also missed the steamed egg -- likely removed due to high egg prices, which is understandable. Service The staff was friendly and attentive. Most of them were corporate trainers, but they're actively working to train local hires. Our grill's heat kept fluctuating throughout the meal, likely due to insufficient gas pressure to supply all the tables. Some of our meats didn't get as crispy as we would have liked, but the staff was very responsive and comped our drinks as a courtesy. The soju was refreshing and paired really well with the grilled meats -- definitely recommend it. As someone who's missed Korean BBQ from Southern California and other big cities, I'm genuinely excited to have a place like this in El Paso. If they can maintain the quality and work out the kinks, I can see Gen becoming a local favorite in no time. Location: 1319-I George Dieter Dr, El Paso, TX 79936

So my wife and I had just returned from LV and visited this restaurant up there and enjoyed it so we anticipated the locale here. Our son even asked if we were going to the soft opening but due to work we didn't make it until I returned. We went during lunch and it wasn't crazy packed, we were quickly seated and since we knew how it worked we were eager to eat. We had a great team of servers taking care of us and they made sure we never lacked drinks, food condiments or protein and it was so so good. We ate till we couldn't eat and rolled out of there so content. We highly recommend this restaurant and hopefully you experience great service as well. Our server informed us he is from Jacksonville Florida and was here training and we informed him we are traveling to Orlando soon so maybe we are him down there as well.

Love this place. We have them back in Los Angeles. This one has pastor and asada which we don't have. Need a bigger sign or billboard so people know where they are at...

Everything was great! The server was super helpful and let us know beforehand what they were short of! We went on a busy Sunday after new years so it made sense they were sold out of stuff. He guided us with other options and we loved everything! The food is always delicious here, I reccomend getting some radish wraps and samjaang for your meat!!!

My family and I are visiting from California. We've eaten at other Gen Korean BBQ locations and were excited to try this one. I didn't realize we ended the soft opening, but it was a great experience. Our waiter was very attentive, the meat portion sizes were big, and all the food came out in a timely manner. My parents said this was the best Gen they've been to, so it's safe to say we had an enjoyable experience. The ambiance gives a nightclub environment, but it's clean and very spacious. I hope this location has a fantastic opening day!

Cafe Korea's New Far East Location: Great Food, But Some Growing Pains…read more Cafe Korea has officially reopened at 1452 N Zaragoza Rd Unit A-900, and as someone who missed their Northeast location, I was excited to visit. The space is larger, parking is easier, and the menu still features those comforting Korean staples--but there are some definite hiccups that need attention. First impressions: each table comes equipped with a portable butane grill, which is impressive considering the cost to run them. But while the grills worked well, the ventilation is poor--expect to leave smelling like smoke, and brace yourself for the heat. The restaurant was already uncomfortably warm, and with summer just starting, that's going to be a serious issue for both diners and staff. Service was, unfortunately, disorganized and inconsistent. While the staff were friendly, they seemed overwhelmed and underprepared. There didn't appear to be table assignments, and we often had to wave someone down for water or more banchan. At one point, I saw groceries being brought in through the back--suggesting that even the kitchen operation might be scrambling behind the scenes. Now, to the food--still the highlight. The banchan was delicious and clearly homemade, and once we got a refill, they were generous with portions. The meat quality was excellent, and we were able to share a BBQ set among two adults and two kids and still leave satisfied. But the price point? High. Our modest lunch totaled around $60, including charges for water. A friend who went earlier in the week paid $70 for a seafood pancake and galbi--for one person. With Gen Korean BBQ opening nearby offering all-you-can-eat options, and other local Korean spots like Tommy's Express and Garlic 1% serving equally fresh meals at lower prices, it's fair to question how sustainable this model is. Final Take: Cafe Korea still delivers on flavor, but the overall experience is rough around the edges. Between high prices, spotty service, and a sweltering dining room, it's hard to fully enjoy the meal. I want them to succeed--but to compete in today's Eastside food scene, they'll need to iron out the basics fast.

Fantastic lunch spot…read more We stopped by for lunch on a random let's try something new and really enjoyed this place. The service was very good. If we ran out of ban chan they were there to get us a resupply. I ordered the kimchi stew, and it came out just like I like it - spicy and piping hot. The stew had plenty of kimchi and plenty of beef. It was super good. The container of rice that it comes with was plenty. Liz went with the bulgogi, and it came out fresh on a hot skillet, well seasoned, and generous serving size. It also ce with a container of rice. The ambiance is kinda dicey, but to be honest, I was focused on eating the delicious food. I would return, and invite as many friends as I can.

The restaurant is spacious, plenty of seating for smaller or even large parties. The employee at the register was so good! He was very personable, kind, and informative. He gave us the rundown of the menu, gave his input on what was popular, and really made us feel welcome. We loved it. To eat I ordered the "Combo Bop," the option with 2 proteins, rice, noodles, cabbage and Cupbop's awesome sauce. I decided to order B Bop (Beef) and Mandoo (Potstickers) as my proteins. My chosen sauce level was "5." It was very good!! The beef was tender, potstickers were also tasty. Mixing all of the foods with the sauce made it all to be very delicious. The cup by itself left me satisfied, it's a good portion of food! We really enjoyed reading up on the restaurant's history too. If I remember correctly their story was on the wall. Definitely would come back!! And definitely recommend this place for anyone!

The food showed up and unfortunately there bowls were brought without any sauce on the side. The bowls I ordered were either Katsu chicken and beef and the beef was flavorful but other than that the rest of the bowl was extremely bland. I know the sauces would have made a huge difference so whoever does an online order needs to pay attention to direction.

El Paso…read morewas one of our last stops on the way and we searched for Guy Fieri's visited restaurant list and found Kaemada. We had wonderful meals of BBQ, Southern, American and Mexican food but we started to miss our Ramen meals back home. This place was great. Ot had a youthful, edgy vibe with cozy and nice colorful decor. We ordered the Thicc Boi and Birria Ramen, and ordered sides of the Thai Peanut Cucumber Salad, and Pork buns. The salad was a nice appetizer. We wished we had this back home. The dressing tasted peanutty with black sesame seeds and a nice acid balance. Kaemada's Ramen has El Paso influences. The broth had full bodied flavor, the meat was cut thicker with grilled char! Please also try the Birrea Ramen! We eat Birria broth and tacos at home and this ramen bowl was a great marriage of the 2 dishes. The thick cut and grilled char feature was also included in the pork bun. It was so tasty and satisfying with the thick pork cut, which I often thought was too thin anyways in the original version. They took the best El Paso meat flavor and Japanese presentation influences to make Kaemada's dish unique and their own. Don't expect the delicate and refined dashi broth Japan has. Be open to the bold flavors of the pork and broth. Expect a Southwest and Japanese fusion of robust and evolved flavors. Personally, I like firm noodles so request it cooked this way. Izzy, our server was friendly and attentive. She made our meal there more pleasant. Don't forget to order the Yuzu Cheesecake, light and not so sweet with a strong presence of Yuzu. A great finish to our meal. 10/10.
