Best Chinese food in the area. It's upscale and impeccable service with large and clean dining room. We ordered some of our usual suspects. The XLB was excellent. The string beans were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our favorite was the Shanghai rice cake with chicken dish. China Town will be our first choice eating out in El Paso area whenever we're in town. Highly recommend!!

Okay, so this one was not planned -- we were actually out looking for an authentic tea house and accidentally stumbled upon Chinatown, and wow... what a find. I thought "Chinatown" was just the name of the plaza at first, but nope -- it's an actual restaurant, and a stunning one at that. This place sits in a gorgeous new plaza that's honestly a whole vibe on its own -- fitness studios, cute shops, great energy all around. Then you walk into Chinatown and it's like stepping into another world. Every room inside has its own experience. They've got an ambient, moody space that's perfect for date night, a lively family-style room with a big round table (you know, the kind that spins so everyone can share the dishes), and even a sleek bar area with a bold Bruce Lee mural that totally gives city-night energy. The decor is next level -- elegant but fun, elevated without feeling stuffy. You can tell they put thought into every detail, from lighting to layout. The staff? Impeccable. Everyone is polished, professional, and genuinely welcoming. You feel taken care of the second you walk in. We started with traditional tea served in a beautiful, heavy teapot -- exactly what we'd been searching for. It was rich, aromatic, and came out piping hot (the way I like it ). Their menu is full of vegan and vegetarian options that are clearly labeled -- love that -- and the food was so well done. The soup came out hot and perfectly seasoned, not overly salty or oily, and the bok choy was hands down some of the best I've ever had -- tender but still crisp. The cucumber salad? Absolute perfection. Cool, crunchy, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was balanced, thoughtful, and fresh. It's Chinese food with a refined, slightly Sichuan-inspired edge -- familiar comfort with a more upscale twist. No greasy spoons here -- this is a true sit-down dining experience. There didn't seem to be outdoor seating, but honestly, with how gorgeous the interior is, I didn't miss it one bit. It's the kind of place you could bring anyone -- date night, family dinner, friend group outing -- and everyone would leave happy. Can't believe we found this spot by accident, but I'm so glad we did. Chinatown is officially one of the hidden gems of El Paso.

The food was Bomb!! Great ambience, decor was on point, bar area has great artwork on the walls, outside seating in shaded area with even more nostalgia China Town vibes in a cool part of the neighborhood! Staff was on point with the entirety of service, from the moment you walk into the door, being seated, recommendations, treatment through service, and amiable conversation with our waitress and staff! We had a blast, ate everything, drinks were cold, delicious, and great recommendations! Absolutely recommend.

We've now been to Chinatown twice together (I've been here a couple of more times than my friend Yoshi), and our experiences have been mixed. On our first visit, the vibe was fun--decor like Hong Kong alleyways with 70s Kung Fu touches, great for groups with big Lazy Susan tables and a lively bar. Service was friendly, and the bartender even let us sample a new cocktail. Some dishes were solid (fresh dumplings and noodles you could watch being made), but others fell flat. The salt & pepper pork chops were mostly bone, the dumplings bland, and the Peking duck had chewy skin with stray feathers. The saving grace was the duck-bone soup--flavorful, veggie-packed, and comforting. Prices were steep, about $150 for two people, plus odd extra fees. We decided to give them another shot, especially the Peking duck, and they comped it this time. It was an improvement: skin crispier, scallions and cucumbers neatly cut, and wraps done well. But it came with hoisin sauce and... sugar. The chef explained it's a South China style, but I've never seen sugar with duck. Their house-made chili sauce would've been a much better pairing. The duck meat was moist, though the cuts were still chunky. Sadly, the duck-bone soup that we loved before was ruined with hoisin and soy sauce--so salty it was almost inedible. Other dishes made up for it: juicy dumplings, the crispy eggplant clay pot (still my favorite), sticky rice dessert (very nostalgic), and strong drinks (though the lychee syrup was bitter). Prices have gone up--duck is now $85, and with other dishes and drinks our bill was over $150 (not counting the comped duck). Service remains a strong point--they even safeguarded my friend's forgotten credit card until he came back. Overall: Chinatown is a beautiful, lively spot in El Paso and worth trying for something different, but it's hit-or-miss. Some dishes stand out (eggplant pork, beef chow fun), others fall flat. If you find a favorite, stick with it. Just be ready for high prices and some inconsistency.

Very tasty authentic Chines food. Their hot & spicy soup was very good. We ordered delivered so we did not go inside the restaurant. OK part 2 I took a group of friends to lunch here today. Wow! Very impressed with the Chinese restaurant Our waitress Janette was awesome!

Very awesome exterior decorations as we walked in! The interior was even better! It felt very fancy yet oriental. The service was great! Our server was awesome and informative and recommended great drinks and food options. We ended up getting the Singapore noodles and Black pepper beef tenderloin. The beef tenderloin in fact melted in my mouth like butter. 10000/10 recommend. Getting chills just thinking about it.

Chinatown is a beautiful establishment, staff is friendly, and their menu is pretty varied. We ordered the calamari, lo mein, another noodle dish, and honey chicken with orange zest. Our calamari was extremely salty and chewy (very overcooked). We noticed the waiter and all he said was sorry he didn't offer to bring us anything else or take the calamari from the table. Our meals were good, we did enjoy the noodles and chicken dishes. Meals are definitely shareable as they're fairly. Large portions.

The place is amazing!! If you love to try a little bit of everything, I suggest coming with a big group! Service was wonderful and food was delicious! My faves were most definitely the soup dumplings (xialongbao), and the wor wonton soup with chicken! We left no plate empty! There were 5 of us and we enjoyed every bit of everything! Everything on the table was a fave, but from the table, the faves were definitely the walnut shrimp and the fried chicken! All in all, if your le looking for authentic Chinese in Texas, look no further!

This place was great! My husband tried a few beers, mostly hazy IPAs while I had their ACE ciders (mango and guava). I hadn't tried having ciders with any chili rim but it was sooo yummy. I love everything mango, so naturally I tried that cider first. It was good, but the guava one was so much better! They had a few tvs, and none were showing the game. But the bartenders were really nice and put the game for us in one screen. If you watched this game, you know it was a nail biter, so naturally they started showing it on a few more screens. The outdoor seating area was full the entire time, with people coming in and out, but it never got too packed. We had originally sat towards the back in a table, but as people left the bar, and the game for more intense, we moved to the bar. The drinks kept coming, including a celebratory shot for the Warriors win! I know we will come back here next time we are in town. The music varied, but overall I enjoyed it. The bathrooms were clean and the manager also seemed to care about the clients. There was one guy that definitely had too much to drink, ended up peeing his pants and falling on his way to the women's restroom by mistake. Both a bartender and manager went over to make sure he was good right away. I did not catch the girls' names, but both bartenders that day were really nice. I've always wanted bold red hair, and decided to spark a conversation with one of the bartenders that had intense red hair. If you ever see this, just know I went for it! Not as bold as you, but maybe one day!

I thought it would be weird for kids at night, but no, they made us feel welcome like everyone else there. The kids LOVED the process of making the ice cream; it was like a magic show to them! I pointed out the line that distributed the liquid nitrogen to the 3 mixers, and yes they are quite loud. It's all part of the experience though since it fogs up and the coolness factor is upped with the fog and sounds. If you've never experienced nitrogen anything like cold brew, ice cream etc, yes it can be jarring. I would suggest that they have signs posted or warn when they're about to start mixing to let the uninitiated know. The ice cream itself is amazing. Custom made in small artisanal batches, you'll never get the same since they mix it right in front of you, kinda like an omakase bar. I think the milk fat percentage is like 15%-25% because the alcohol added cuts through the taste and can be overwhelming without that creaminess. You can have it with or without alcohol and of course the kids loved their Cookie Monster (cookies and cream) and berry shaved ice, without alcohol of course. I got a Cool Brew with Kahlua and it was sooo smooth! Really delicious and will wake you up! Ice creams run around $8 for 3 ingredients and the named ones are between $10-$13, which is really good considering they have alcohol in them and it's strong. They don't skimp on flavor or ingredients here. I didn't see the food menu until later but I'm excited to try their fried pickles. My kids were getting antsy by then and we needed to go. This was such a fun and unique experience and I love that it's in El Paso, vs Austin or OC. Really cool concept and they actually delivered with the taste. Come out and support local!
