My friend recommended I try this place and I am so glad I did! Their tacos were delicious and hit the spot. The brown sugar milk tea was super tasty. We also shared a Taiyaki with Nutella and ice cream. I will definitely be coming back.

Cafe Korea's New Far East Location: Great Food, But Some Growing Pains…read more Cafe Korea has officially reopened at 1452 N Zaragoza Rd Unit A-900, and as someone who missed their Northeast location, I was excited to visit. The space is larger, parking is easier, and the menu still features those comforting Korean staples--but there are some definite hiccups that need attention. First impressions: each table comes equipped with a portable butane grill, which is impressive considering the cost to run them. But while the grills worked well, the ventilation is poor--expect to leave smelling like smoke, and brace yourself for the heat. The restaurant was already uncomfortably warm, and with summer just starting, that's going to be a serious issue for both diners and staff. Service was, unfortunately, disorganized and inconsistent. While the staff were friendly, they seemed overwhelmed and underprepared. There didn't appear to be table assignments, and we often had to wave someone down for water or more banchan. At one point, I saw groceries being brought in through the back--suggesting that even the kitchen operation might be scrambling behind the scenes. Now, to the food--still the highlight. The banchan was delicious and clearly homemade, and once we got a refill, they were generous with portions. The meat quality was excellent, and we were able to share a BBQ set among two adults and two kids and still leave satisfied. But the price point? High. Our modest lunch totaled around $60, including charges for water. A friend who went earlier in the week paid $70 for a seafood pancake and galbi--for one person. With Gen Korean BBQ opening nearby offering all-you-can-eat options, and other local Korean spots like Tommy's Express and Garlic 1% serving equally fresh meals at lower prices, it's fair to question how sustainable this model is. Final Take: Cafe Korea still delivers on flavor, but the overall experience is rough around the edges. Between high prices, spotty service, and a sweltering dining room, it's hard to fully enjoy the meal. I want them to succeed--but to compete in today's Eastside food scene, they'll need to iron out the basics fast.

Fantastic lunch spot…read more We stopped by for lunch on a random let's try something new and really enjoyed this place. The service was very good. If we ran out of ban chan they were there to get us a resupply. I ordered the kimchi stew, and it came out just like I like it - spicy and piping hot. The stew had plenty of kimchi and plenty of beef. It was super good. The container of rice that it comes with was plenty. Liz went with the bulgogi, and it came out fresh on a hot skillet, well seasoned, and generous serving size. It also ce with a container of rice. The ambiance is kinda dicey, but to be honest, I was focused on eating the delicious food. I would return, and invite as many friends as I can.

El Paso…read morewas one of our last stops on the way and we searched for Guy Fieri's visited restaurant list and found Kaemada. We had wonderful meals of BBQ, Southern, American and Mexican food but we started to miss our Ramen meals back home. This place was great. Ot had a youthful, edgy vibe with cozy and nice colorful decor. We ordered the Thicc Boi and Birria Ramen, and ordered sides of the Thai Peanut Cucumber Salad, and Pork buns. The salad was a nice appetizer. We wished we had this back home. The dressing tasted peanutty with black sesame seeds and a nice acid balance. Kaemada's Ramen has El Paso influences. The broth had full bodied flavor, the meat was cut thicker with grilled char! Please also try the Birrea Ramen! We eat Birria broth and tacos at home and this ramen bowl was a great marriage of the 2 dishes. The thick cut and grilled char feature was also included in the pork bun. It was so tasty and satisfying with the thick pork cut, which I often thought was too thin anyways in the original version. They took the best El Paso meat flavor and Japanese presentation influences to make Kaemada's dish unique and their own. Don't expect the delicate and refined dashi broth Japan has. Be open to the bold flavors of the pork and broth. Expect a Southwest and Japanese fusion of robust and evolved flavors. Personally, I like firm noodles so request it cooked this way. Izzy, our server was friendly and attentive. She made our meal there more pleasant. Don't forget to order the Yuzu Cheesecake, light and not so sweet with a strong presence of Yuzu. A great finish to our meal. 10/10.

From the…read moremoment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming--clean, cozy, and filled with the aroma of sizzling barbecue. * Service: The staff is attentive without being overbearing. They explain the menu clearly and check in often to make sure everything is perfect. * Food: Every dish bursts with flavor. The kimchi is tangy and fresh, the bulgogi melts in your mouth, and the bibimbap is beautifully presented with vibrant vegetables and a perfectly cooked egg. The banchan (side dishes) are plentiful and constantly refilled, which makes the meal feel generous and complete. * Experience: If you go for the Korean BBQ, the staff helps guide you through grilling at the table, making it fun and interactive. It's perfect for groups but also comfortable for solo diners. * Value: Portions are hearty, and the quality of ingredients justifies the price. You leave full, satisfied, and already planning your next visit. Pro tip: Try the spicy tofu stew on a chilly day--it's comfort in a bowl. Pair it with a refreshing Korean beer or soju for the full experience. This restaurant nails the balance between tradition and modern dining. Very clean establishment and good vibes with shoji screens and lighting. Our service was very good too! We explained how we have never been here before and our waitress explained in full detail the how to and their menu. She came back at a good rate and was very nice. Me and my partner got the standard course for two. It was around $68. That's a lot in my opinion for not that much food compared to a Korean bbq. The galbi short ribs for example, they only gave us 3. They couldn't even give us 4? Two each? That in general is also crazy small. The rest of the meats were flat pieces like brisket and little steak bits. That's not a lot of food. It looks like a lot but when meat shrinks it's just tasters. I'm not impressed with the amount I'm spending with the amount of food. It's honestly not a lot when you really break it down. We did try the mochi and me and my partner agreed that was probably the best mochi ice cream we have had. Plenty of options, very delicious and tasty. If you want some sort of BBQ experience, I would not come here as my first option. You're just wasting money when you can go to an all you can eat and order practically everything. If you wanted Individual plates of soemthing, for example the galbi short ribs for a plate was around $14. Cmon now. We wouldn't come back here. It was decent, too expensive for what you're getting. There's just better options to try. Thank you.

I've read prior reviews/comments about service but I will say, our service it was phenomenal. Special recognition to our server, Fabi.
