Plating was beautiful, service was much better and professional and the flavors were on point. Glad I decided to give this location a try. I'll be returning, for sure. This place is busy alot of the time (especially on Sundays for brunch) so calling in for reservations is probably a good idea. A beautiful lazy Sunday afternoon in May deserves an ending to remember, and Grove on the Eastside of El Paso most definitely fits the bill. Great atmosphere, music and the service staff smiling and being welcoming is added plus. I felt extremely relaxed sitting at my table watching all the action of the bar tenders wait staff etc. The music was very nice, not too low but not to load either. My server Josh was on his game and reassured everything was working out perfectly. Food still amazing, presentation wonderful, just wish this place stayed open a little bit later at least one day out the week. Visited Grove for the first time today and I will say we had some pros and cons to our experience. The atmosphere was great, service was okay, our server forgot our waters and we consistently had to remind her to fill our water cups. Food on the other hand was delicious; however, the one downside to our food was the skillet. The skillet's pork belly was extremely dry. The flavors on both dishes were stellar. However, the skillet could have been improved by not having the pork belly overcooked. The Groves variety of coffee and mimosas is plentiful. Our favorite mimosa was the coconut mimosa. We look forward to hopefully giving the grove another try as I stated it had many positives and very few negatives. read more

The food was amazing! I ordered crab Benedict. It was delicious and had a beautiful presentation. I had the grandkids with me. One of them had the French toast plate which came with bananas and whipped cream. She also ordered a side of bacon. She ate the entire plate and thought it was delicious. The grandson had the kids breakfast platter. It came with pancakes, eggs, and fruit. It is a nice serving size for children. My daughter had the Chilaquiles verde with fried eggs on top. All of the food was good. I also had a strawberry matcha & the rest had f orange juice. The service was quick & efficient. The server did a good job of checking on us. The ambiance was nice. Such a cute brunch spot! I went on a Saturday around 8:30am and it was pretty busy, but we got seated quickly. My husband and I got two mimosas along with the bulgogi quesadillas, which were AMAZING! I would go again just for those. For our meals, we got the crab cake eggs benedict and the Baileys French toast. These were both good, but the crab cakes were a little too fishy for my husband and the French toast didn't have as much coffee flavor as I expected. At 12:09pm today, I joined the waitlist (from the website) for a table for 2. Drove to the place and sat in my car waiting for the text to tell me to come in. It said there was 1 party ahead of me. Almost FORTY minutes pass with no change, still 1 party ahead of me. Normally you'd think to go check inside, but Grove doesn't like people waiting inside and encourages people to use the waitlist and just wait in their car until they get the text. At 12:47pm, I get a text saying "Due to unforseen circumstances, we cannot add you to the wait list at this time." WHAT?! I've been on the waitlist for almost forty minutes! We go inside and find the place half empty and they'll give us a table right way. They tell us their tablet has been down since yesterday, so the waitlist from the website doesn't work. But HOW am I supposed to know that?! They said you can always call them to get a real-time update on wait. I'll do that next time. Everyone who works there is great and food is great, but this is 1000% on management/ownership. If your website waitlist doesn't work, you need to either: a.) temporarily disable it b.) maybe you should have the system be that everyone who joins the waitlist from the website checks in, in person, when they arrive, just to confirm how long they need to wait and if they should just go outside or go back to their car. I know you don't want people crowding the host desk area, but come on, that's better than having a customer sit in their car for FORTY minutes waiting for a table when there were plenty of tables just waiting for that customer! What you absolutely CANNOT do is let people like me join the waitlist, think I'm on the waitlist, and sit in my car for nearly FORTY minutes. That's beyond unacceptable. You need to fix this Grove, you are better than this. I understand technology can let us down sometimes, but that is besides the point. The point is, here, you KNEW you had your tablet system down since YESTERDAY. Why didn't you take ANY steps to make sure people couldn't join the waitlist today then? How am I supposed to know the system isn't working today if I get a text confirming my place on the waitlist at 12:09pm, but I get the unforseen circumstances text at 12:47pm?! I was unfairly punished because I tried to do things the way Grove wants you to on every other day. The one final thing I will say is that the guy at the host desk apparently did not inform the manager of this, because the manager did not speak with us about it. After I told the guy I waited 40 minutes in my car, for apparently nothing, due to an issue that is 100% the fault of Grove, you'd think the manager would have been notified and they would have come talk to us. That didn't happen either. Really disappointing experience from a place we otherwise love, that has great food and great people. read more

Grove Brunch Cafe is one of the trendier places in EP. It's been around a few years and it's very nice! First time at this location and it's just as pretty as the one on the west side of town! The ambiance is super cute spot for a brunch with the girls. I had a hot tea; they have a few options of the classics and bring it out to you in a cute teapot. There were also several alcoholic beverages if that's the kind of brunch you're trying to have! My friend said she loved the huevos rancheros. They came with a huge peace of chicken breast which she said was delicious. A little untraditional but innovative nonetheless. To eat I got the breakfast pizza, where the intention of innovation was there but execution not so much... I definitely feel like I ordered the wrong thing. None of the ingredients complemented each other. Really felt like a breakfast you make for yourself when all you have in the fridge is left over pizza and a couple of eggs. Service was good. I ordered an English breakfast and a strawberry matcha drink. The drink was delicious, but the food was disappointing. I had requested the bacon and sausage on the side. While they did put them in separate boxes, the bread still tasted as if bacon had been sitting on it for a while. I also never received the potatoes that were supposed to come with the meal. I wish I had checked the order before I left, especially since I tipped. Was in town visiting family and the grove was suggested. Big mistake the wait was extremely long for bland food. I personally had the sweet potato pancakes and they were just awful, even the presentation was sad. I will say that we sat at the bar and had drinks while we waited for a table the drinks were good just overpriced. Honestly everything was just overprice for gross American food, honestly village inn would have been better. Don't mind paying if the meal is good, but I literally had three bites and loved it to the side. This was our second visit to Grove on Tierra Este. Opened the restaurant both times. This time larger party (8), took a few minutes to get our seating ready. Our server was Evelyn, and she was great! My party was all over the brunch menu but everyone claimed to like their choices. The wife and I both tried the Huevos Rancheros and being a born and raised El Pasoan, I've tried a bunch. These were really different. I liked mine. My wife is more of a traditionalist. I've had the mixed green and red Chilaquiles and they were pretty good. She liked her omelette more from our first visit. A little pricey for El Paso breakfast at $215 including the tip for 8. That included all the drinks, none were alcoholic. read more

The ambiance is very cute here,however that's the only thing this place has going good for them. The food is absolutely season less! The first time my husband and I came alone the service was ok but the food was still absolutely not seasoned. I order the steak and eggs meal with my steak "medium rare" they basically gave me the steak under cooked "raw" and it was very plain. I still enjoyed the ambiance so we tried to bring my mother who was visiting us in town there based off the ambiance and it's down the street from our house. When we walked in at 3:50 the host sat us down and then the waitress walked over to take our order we still needed time to look and she came back rushing saying that the restaurant closed at 4 and they had to put orders in before ( saying this to us at 3:57)We had no idea that that was the closing time and would have liked to know that before we were sat down and ordered drinks. Otherwise we would have just left and went somewhere eles. Anyway we stayed. The server was giving hurry up. The food is over priced and the quality is very plain. Everyone of our meals had no salt or pepper just plain food. It's ashamed in this economy when you go out and spend $100 for the food to taste like I could have made this better. The manager I'm assuming came around asking how was our food and everything and when my mom was honest and told them to at least add some salt and pepper in the back to the meals she offered to remake the meal but it was after 4 by now and we were over the whole experience. We stayed until 4:20 and headed home. It was the worst experience and was a horrible place to enjoy my moms last moments here in El Paso. Compare to L&J cafe this place is trash service wise and food quality is disgusting. Drinks are okay even then I order the sangria and asked for light ice... they still gave me a cup full of ice lol.
