This is a full service dry cleaners conveniently located downtown across from the City County building. It is colocated in a parking garage and has metered street parking out front. I had a shirt and pair of pants dry cleaned there. They did a great job. The staff there was accommodating and courteous. My dry cleaning was done earlier than they promised and pick up was quick and easy. I put my clothes in on a Tuesday and it was ready by Thursday. You can get rush service if you need it sooner, but I think that it costs a bit extra. They offer drive by pickup where you pull in the garage and they will bring your dry cleaning to your car. This is a decent dry cleaning option, mostly for those people that work or will be down town. They are friendly and do a great job. read more

This is the only place I'll go to for dry cleaning and alterations. I've had dresses and pants altered, my comforters dry cleaned, and taken my partners suits for cleaning. They always do a fantastic job and are so friendly! Their prices are very reasonable and have a quick turnaround. They even helped me out when I was under a time crunch by altering a bridesmaids dress I had to wear out of state within the week. Highly recommend to anyone! read more

Unfortunately I made the mistake of bringing my expensive Canali jacket to Fabric Care Center to have the collar replaced. I finally, after two months, get my jacket back today, on July 20th, and the collar is completely wrong. As you can see from the pics she shortened the velvet collar piece, originally starting mid lapel button hole, way to much. The velvet collar now starts way too high on the jacket; throwing of the entire dynamic of the jacket. You can also see this in the pics where you look at the collar from the underside. Look how far off the new collar is! Originally the velvet collar outer tips ended vertically parallel with the wool lapel tips below them. This is a complete butcher job. Now I have to go back in on July 22nd just to confirm she did everything wrong so I can get my $40 refunded to me. I have before and after pictures of everything. Absolutely unacceptable! I also will be contacting the Indiana State Attorney Generals Office by filing an official complaint regarding fraud. Why? Fabric Care Cleaners' address is 151 E Market Street. Custom Expressions Alterations' address is 155 E Market Street, but has a non-functioning separate phone number. Both businesses are in the same retail space. Why did I receive a receipt from Fabric Care Cleaners when I conducted business with Custom Expressions Alterations; a company with a non-functioning separate phone number? What is the fraud? Custom Expressions Alterations' website claims they have "over 30 years of experience in .... making custom clothing for men and women." This is not true. Earlier today I took my jacket to a reputable Indy custom tailor, with over 100 years of experience, and was told by them that Custom Expressions Alterations (aka Fabric Care Cleaners) does not have any experience in custom clothing and that they have had to bail out Custom Expressions Alterations (aka Fabric Care Cleaners) on numerous prior occasions because they can't even do alterations properly; certainly can not do custom clothing. read more

I've been using Fabric care cleaners for about 3 years now. My last visit will be just that, MY LAST! I dropped a pair of pants off to be dry cleaned. When I went to pick them up there were black marks all down the leg. When I pointed it out to the lady working she said just pay for the cleaning and we'll redo it. I called the corporate office and got James. James is worthless, and has a bad attitude. Told me to be patient when I text asking what was going on with my pants. So, I called a different number, got some lady that did nothing but give me the run around and said it was something I did. Something I did? The stain wasn't there when I dropped them off! WTF? And now are refusing to replace the damaged pants. DO NOT USE THIS DRYCLEANERS! They are horrible, and give very bad customer service!! read more

The people who work here are wonderful, they are upfront about expectations and give proper warnings (some things just can't come clean or be fixed or be dry cleaned) but always manage to go above and beyond. They've been able to remove stains I didn't think would ever come out and done a handful of successful alterations for me. read more

They did an awesome job. I have a light gray couch from Restoration Hardware, and much to my horror, my dogs foot bled on the cushion. I took the cover in and it was ready for pick up in 2 days. The cover was spotless. I'm looking forward to taking all the covers in for regular cleanings to preserve the couch! read more

Take my clothes there about every week for past 6+ months and only a handful of errors - 1 shrunken sweater and they have creased/pleated the jeans twice?!? I would have to re-iron myself to get the crease out - i didn't even know people did that to jeans ? Dress pants, yes. But jeans? Hmm.. anyway.. doesn't stop me from using them. 3 Star Review because of the difficulty I had trying to get in when the seamstress was there. The schedule she has is not the same as the store. Call before going in. Other than scheduling difficulties, I really enjoyed my experience here. I needed a formal dress hemmed for a wedding. It was a two layered dress and the strap needed to be shortened as well. I needed the dress within the week and it was completed quickly at a great price. I paid $65 for both and had it back in less than a week. She mentioned some people come in and request it done in a day. I'm assuming she gets it done if that's what you need! I'll also assume that's a big up charge! There is free 20 minute parking just in front of the building. It's quick and easy to park and run in. No reason to pay! If that spot is blocked, the parking on the circle is free for two hours. It's a two block walk, but usually easy to find a quick spot. I hope you enjoy your experience here! read more

I normally don't write yelp reviews, but after my experience at the Fabric Care Center, I felt I needed to. Yesterday, I dropped off my suit pants and they promised me they would be ready by today (I have a work conference tomorrow so there was no wiggle room on time). When I stopped in today to pick them up, the attendant informed me that she had been searching for hours but could not find my pants. She was very apologetic and promised she would continue looking. She assured me that if they were not found, they would be happy to take care of me and replace the pants. She continued to give me updates throughout the evening until the store closed that she was still looking for my pants. When the store closed, she informed me that James would be contacting me and would be happy to replace my lost item. When things like this happen, I've gotten used to waiting 2 to 3 days before anyone reached out to me. However, James contacted me within an hour saying he had found my pants. I told him I needed them by tomorrow and asked if we could meet somewhere so I could pick them up. Instead, James drove right to my house and hand-delivered them to me. In the past couple years, I've dealt with several businesses that have left me disappointed in their customer service. I understand mistakes happen, but most of the time, the way they handle it is unacceptable and I decide to never go back. I felt that everyone at Fabric Care Center went over and beyond to take care of me. They've made a lifetime customer out of me and I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality, dry cleaner that you can trust. read more

If you're looking for somewhere to have your wedding dress cleaned, I could not recommend this place highly enough. I got married in October, and waited 4 months to actually unzip the bag and see the damage I had done to the dress. It was disgusting. The bottom ~5 inches was absolutely black from the dirt and oil of walking around downtown Nashville all afternoon. There were beer stains, food stains, make-up stains, etc. all over the rest. Assuming it was WELL beyond repair, I took it in to see if any of the fabric could be salvaged for some sort of repurposing. Upon picking it up, the dress, in its entirety, looked just about as clean as the morning of my wedding. I can't imagine how much time and skill this job required, but I was absolutely amazed. I paid $150 for this service, which is a competitive price to all other cleaners I've researched. read more

This place has a stale smoke odor to greet you upon walking in, though the service is friendly and polite. The hours are very accommodating. However, if the agreement was to be done by a certain day of the week, I expect to have it done when I come in during their business hours - regardless if it's shortly after open. The fee seemed a little steep for the job to be done. And now I feel it certainly isn't worth it to be inconvenienced by making another trip to the downtown location to pick up my item.
