After struggling with a huge waist gap on all my pants my whole life, I finally decided to get them altered and they look so good, I want to cry! $50 Zara jeans with a $28 alteration and they look like a million bucks. Also, the lady who marked my pants for me was so sweet. I told her I was getting them altered even tho I still had 10 lbs to lose and she was like you're doing great! I live in NYC but grew up in Indiana. In the last year, in an effort to improve my health, I started lifting weights and intentionally putting on mass. Well, when it came time to wear a suit for a friend's summer wedding in Indianapolis, I found out that not only did none of my precious suits fit me, but that there wasn't even enough spare fabric in them for a tailor to let them out. I spent a full day suit shopping and found one that looked OKAY off the rack; I did not have time to tailor it before heading to Indiana. Well, when I arrived in Indianapolis, the evening before the wedding, I found the reviews for Express Alterations and decided to give it a try, though my expectations were that people would turn me away due to the last-minute timing. I'm so glad I went to Express Alterations. Kevin is beyond the "consummate professional:" he is kind, engaging, takes your individual aesthetics into account when helping you make your decisions, and will kindly redo any alterations that you're not happy with. He took a mediocre fitting suit, and made me look spot on. (To the point that I got a great deal of compliments, even from strangers.) He also, at my request, happily gave me a lot of knowledge about his beautiful fish tank that he keeps in the back. I saw him deal with a variety of customers, and he treats every one with immense respect and camaraderie. His prices are very fair, and his work is impeccable. We had him make significant alterations to my brother's ill-fitting suit as well, and we both felt great at the wedding. He managed to do so much for so many clients in so little time at a fair price and with a smile on his face. Kevin is awesome and his people in the back got it going on!! I needed my flight attendant uniforms tailored as the come very boxy and unshapely. I went in on a Monday to have two slacks hemmed and tapered and two dress shirts fitted and slimmed in the torso and sleeves. My pants were ready in an hour and my shirts were ready to be picked up by Tuesday afternoon! They fit PERFECTLY. Quick and precise service!! read more

I have only been to this twice. Once earlier this year 2020 and was somewhat satisfied with service. Thursday (New Year's Eve) I dripped off a 2x jacket. I am little 4-11 & 1/2. I wanted the arms taken in a bit, arms were 'fluffy'. The jacket buttoned up with extra room obviously (2x); which was fine because I could wear a sweater. I came back today, the jacket wouldn't even close partially let along button up. He swore to me "No it didn't button up". The lil foreign guy is the SAME guy who I handed the jacket & tried it on before leaving it to be altered. Why would I bring a jacket I can't button up/small & request to have it altered making it smaller?? He LIED. He took too much in & because they cut on the jacket he couldn't put back to it's original 2x. So now I have a medium jacket that I can't close at all. I refused to pay. I wasn't really upset that he took in too much..I was pissed because he lied in face to cover up the fact he cut my jacket & cut too much. I will NEVER EVER return nor refer anyone here. I will go to out North for a different alteration business & stay out of hood. Unfortunately I had to come to that conclusion. read more

This is a dirty place and do not recommend going. This is def not close to the quality of the other two Express Alterations. I do not believe this store is part of the Carmel and Fishers store. this place has much lower quality and not friendly. read more
