This fun husband and wife duo provide excellent tailor services! The store is in a nondescript brick building right next to Keystone Sports Review at 56th St and Keystone Ave. Most recently I asked them to stitch closed some back welt pockets on work pants I purchased (bad design but I loved the pants)! They did a great job sewing them them closed, but in a very finished way. I've also had them fix the hems in other pants, repair a suit jacket and even hem a shower curtain for me! The small store they work from even has a dressing room, in the event you need to try on your item for alterations. Their prices are more than reasonable and I've never been dissatisfied with any project they've completed for me. I've also not had an issue with items being ready at the time they were promised (generally within a week or less). Highly recommend this family-owned business! read more

Bangh is from Vietnam. Lam Son is just the name of the business. Bangh & his wife bought the business and kept the name. He is a master tailor. His skills are honed over a lifetime. He's my age! (71). I have used his skills for all manner of alterations: letting out suit pants, hemming pants, installing zippers, he can do anything. Lately, I've been using his skills - cash-only - for my quirky patching hobby. Some of the patch application is quite complex. For instance, a patch-on-patch on a back pocket of Levi's requires the temporary disconnection of the pocket, sewing the patches and then re-attaching the pocket. I blend patches (patch-on-patch) and these cost a buck or two more than just sewing on a flat patch. Taking in a denim jacket with 17 patches pinned in place this Monday. This is a hole-in-the-wall tailor who provides a phenomenal service. These are simply wonderful people that go the extra mile for their clients for a very reasonable price. For example, it was $48 to hem a pair of pants, extend the waist length on a pair of pants, fix two buttons that had fallen off on a shirt, and downsize two shirts around the torso and arms. This would have cost over $100 at the last tailor I went to. As an anecdote for their kindness, the women working chased me down in the parking lot as I was getting into my car to remind me that they only accept cash and she didn't want me to avoid taking two trips. I was enamored by the quality of people that run this place and cannot speak more highly about their service. read more

Mr Lam Son is an extremely good tailor, I have had all my suits and coats tailored here, and re-tailored after a some weight loss. Very reasonable with pricing, even charged me less for the suits that had to be re-tailored because quote "I've already made some money on this suit". Good tailor, even better man. I have witnessed him turning down payment from a regular (guessing from the way they interacted) for an emergency repair. My advice to anyone who wants suits (or anything else) altered here is to make sure you let him know how you want it fitted. If you prefer a modern slimmer fit, then you need to tell him, because this man will not force an alteration on you unless it is really necessary. His motto, is "I'm just trying to save you some money". I obviously can't speak of his work on women's clothing, I do see female customers in there, and judging by the work he does on my clothes, I'm sure he is more than capable. read more

Visited today with a pair of jeans. The tailor determined they only needed shortened by one inch. He recommended to take them home and wash and then dry them in a hot dryer twice. He said "Why spend money when you don't have to?". Now that's excellent customer service to me. It seems he is more interested in developing a good customer relationship than in making a quick buck. Took my new work shirt here to get tailored as mine was much too baggy, torso and sleeves. I brought my shirt in Monday around 4:30, as you can probably guess they were busier than normal, so I stood in a small line for maybe 10 minutes tops, they were speedy and very friendly not only to me but everyone in there. They're very efficient only being husband and wife, organized and definitely experienced to say the least. I couldn't be more pleased with my shirt, I've gotten MULTIPLE compliments today at work and I do mean multiple. I've actually encouraged three or four of my co-workers to bring their shirts here as well. Oh and I forgot to mention, the price is unbeatable.
