So disappointed in this business. I had a pair of drapes made with them, paid for them and waited for months for them to come in. Had the installer out and wrong materials came that was ordered for hanging. Still waiting and mean while when I call Calico I get a different answer and excuse from their employees. It's like no one cares about customer service. I call the installer back to get these hung and his voice mail box is full. 1,100 for a pair of decorative drapes and can't get them up. It's unbelievable. Do not do business with these folks. They don't care about your projects and they have your money before your project is complete. read more

Worst customer service ever! I've been into the store four times in the last month and not one time was I greeted upon entry. Not one time was I asked if I needed help. Went to Calico, picked out the fabric. They called and picked up the couch. We left town and when we returned the couch was ready as promised and delivered. The quality of the work and attention to detail was outstanding. We picked out a fabric with off white lines defining 5 inch squares and in the finished job they all matched: cushion, back, body and arm rest covers. read more

I had window treatments made for my bedroom in which I received very poor customer service. Calico corners issued me a store credit of $75 for the inconvenience and hopefully return business. When I was ready to use the credit, they informed I had used it and then it was expired!!! So I received more poor service in which I will never return!!! read more

A friend told me about Calico Corners, so the last time I was in Indianapolis I decided to check it out because I needed new curtains for my bedroom. My experience here was great! I had no idea what I wanted with the exception that I love florals. A young girl approached just a minute or two after I walked in and asked if she could help. I explained to her what I needed and she showed me several fabrics to choose from, as well as different ways they could be made, and different types of rods, etc. I felt kind of overwhelmed because I'd never done this before...so she showed me some pictures that helped me finally decide. I really appreciated how patient she was and willing to go the extra mile helping me. Can't wait to go back for fabric for a new bedspread to match the curtains! read more

I purchased 10 custom pillows. It took over 6 weeks to get them. I picked them up just before Christmas. 4 of them were perfect. However, 6 of them were not. 4 were light blue and 2 were aqua. All 6 had dark beige zippers. I complained immediately and was told that this was an industry standard. When I pointed to other pillows that were on display I was told that they were "custom" pillows. For what I paid, I thought I had ordered "custom" pillows, since my other pillows all had zippers that matched the their colors. The store personnel were rude and said there was nothing they could do. They told me to take the pillows and they would contact the owner "Barb". Two days later when I called the store I spoke with a very arrogant woman (who it turns out she was the owners daughter). She said she would have Barb call me. I should not use the pillows until I had spoken with her. (That was 4 days before Christmas). When Barb did call, she told me that they would replace the zippers. I did not want these pillows to be torn apart and pieced back together, I wanted new fabric and to have them remade, since that is what I paid for "First Quality" not "seconds". She refused! I told her that was not satisfactory and I would return the pillows for a complete refund. I also, said I thought that was counter productive, since I had spent a significant amount of time selecting the fabric colors and the style. A day or so later she called me to say that she would reorder the fabric and remake the pillows. The store called just before the end of the year stating the fabric had arrived and that I should return the pillows. I was skeptical about why they needed to have them back before the new ones were ready. I did comply with the request to return the old pillows, but I put a black "X" made with a Sharpie on the inside seams of each pillow, to be sure that I was indeed getting new fabric and new pillows. I went in to pick up the "new" on 1/17/17. Barb was there and came out to speak with me. She told me that these pillows had been completely remade and that she had to go to a different store to purchase the zippers. I unzipped the newly remade pillows only to find the "X" that I had made still on the inside. When confronted her with this information, she continued to lie and say that the pillows had been completely remade with all new fabric. The owner of this store lacks integrity. The personnel portray the same arrogant attitude of the owner. Even when caught in an obvious lie there they stuck to their story that the pillows had been remade with completely new fabric. read more

Purchased 4 yards of fabric @$31.49yard....only to find out after we cut the fabric that it had a major manufacturer's defect. Poor customer service. They are unwilling in good faith to offer any kind of refund for the unusable fabric. There was a brown line running the entire length of the 4 yards and 6 inches of the fabric width is completely unusable. The brown line wasn't noticeable in their store because of the poor lighting and I couldn't use the sun to inspect it because it was raining the day I bought it. Only after I used only the right side did I see the defect on the left side of the fabric. The entire fabric roll is bad and they are still selling it. Beware! Also note, since the Indy Calico Corners store is a franchise, you can't return your fabric to corporate or go to another Calico Corners. Purchase online with corporate or a store that is owned by corporate. Best bet is shop elsewhere! read more
