MUST READ. While hobby lobby is a nice "Christian" store to shop at.. let me let you in on some inside logistics. I worked there as a custom framer for over a year and one night I had been called to help with a bathroom incident. I thought to myself "no problem we're a team" As I cleaned up the mess with toilet paper and weak tools provided by the company it took me quite awhile to fully clean the mess. Afterword I got called back to the framing counter for a custom order. I completed the order with a red face as I smelled of feces and then after I asked my manager for permission to go home and shower/change before closing. She said "NO we're understaffed tonight" I pleaded my case as I felt it was inhumane to have me working while smelling like another humans feces. I asked again.. and then again rejected by "Liz". At that point I decided to quit .. I never planned on doing this until such an extreme circumstance. But get this, I went to HR and told them what happened. I had the day off from work, so I decided to run some errands and pick up some picture frames for a couple pieces of art I wanted to be framed. I stopped into Hobby lobby because I knew I could get some good picture frames there. Luckily, the store was having a 50% off discount on all wall frames and photo frames. Hobby Lobby had a huge selection of wall/photo frames to choose from, so I took my time to find the right frames for my pieces of art. I eventually found the frames I wanted, and picked up a decorative item for my house as well. The value of the picture frames was terrific and there were very nice frames in the store. There are not a lot of staff walking around in the store, so I didn't ask anyone for assistance, because I did not really need it. When I checked out at the cashier, the woman was very nice and friendly, and wrapped my picture frames with care to make sure they would not crack or break. I had not been in a Hobby Lobby for quite some time, so I was impressed with the selection of picture frames and other items in the store. They always have a sale each week from what I can tell, and you do get value for your buck. If you love arts and crafts, and need supplies, Hobby Lobby is the store for you. So a couple of weeks ago I ordered a Christmas tree with a 50% discount, the next week when I came back to the store to buy art supplies I saw the discount price changed to 60%. I love Hobby Lobby and spend a lot of time shopping at the various stores in our area. Most of the stores are laid out the same with size and customer service being the main differences. It is often difficult to find an employee to ask a question but they are around. I love that many departments rotate bi-weekly sales at 50% off with other sales at 40% - 75% discount. Don't forget to pull up their app and receive one regular priced item at 40% off. Crafts and hobbies, fabrics, florals and wedding, soooo much home decor, framing, prints, art supplies, party and baking and always seasonal items are just a few of the departments found here. Sales begin well before each holiday and no need to wait for after holiday sales. Those sales are usually 75% - 90% off. Valentine items are already 40% off. If you've never been before I highly recommend you visit. So many departments and something to spark most people's interest. read more

Hobby Lobby is my go-to for decorative items for my apartment or office. A great place if you're in need of a cute gift, too. This place is HUGE and if you don't go in with a gameplan, you'll find yourself wandering the aisles, lost, and end up with more in your cart than you initially wanted. I find I have to practice self-restraint in here a lot - do i *really* need that scripty quote canvas for my bedroom wall? I bought my Christmas tree here for a good price last year and it has held up well through two holiday seasons. I've always used this Hobby Lobby for framing but something happened recently and the framing department has gone way downhill. I went there 3 different times to get a mat cut and each time there was a long line and only one person working who was extremely frazzled and not helpful at all. I asked how long it would be and they just snapped at me. This is upsetting because they used to have the best service and best prices. read more

Hobby Lobby has been my favorite mega-craft store for a while. I can always count on them for cute home decor or that one random item my DIY project needs that I've never heard of. Bonus- there's always a coupon online that I can pull up on my phone and use at check out, and there are sales all throughout the store (Discounted Christmas decor while it's still December? #winning). That makes up for their prices that I think are just a little too high. The store is kind of hard to navigate, though. There's just so much stuff that it's really easy to get lost in the aisles. The only real downside is that the check-out counters are a mess. I've been to Hobby Lobby many times when there are a bunch of employees doing whatever in the front, and only one or two lanes are open for check-out, leading to a lot of back-up and some frustrated customers. There is always a handy DIY class coming up on the calendar. My sister and her friend did a baking and decorating class a few years ago, so something like that would be fun! Especially as a gift to someone. read more

No one asked me if I needed help, but then, I didn't need help and if I did, I would have sought it out, so I was fine. I love Hobby Lobby as much as the next person but I get a little disappointed by this location. I can never find staff to help me with anything and when I do see staff they have never offered to help. They all seem too busy stocking shelves. There usually aren't many lanes open which leaves you waiting a lot to check out. My biggest complaint comes from the other day. I had to take a potty break and my first problem came when I could barely find the bathroom and couldn't find a staff person in any aisles to tell me where it was. My 2nd problem was the horrific sanitation in the bathroom. Clearly it had not been cleaned all day maybe longer than that. All toilets were dirty both inside the bowl and on the seats (if you catch my drift), the floors were filthy, sticky, and had dark brown stuff on them, there were used plungers laying out exposed next to toilets, not even sitting in a container, just sitting in the floor. Toilet paper was strewn about, the trash can was over flowing, the sink area was filthy and the smell was familiar to the scent of my family's cattle barns. Seriously I couldn't believe it. I ran out of there trying not to vomit. I told a person in the checkout line and she didn't seem to care. I'm going to post pictures in hopes a manager will see it, but I also plan to contact the area director but that was inexcusable. read more

I really love this store and always find something fresh for any holiday. There are always sales and they keep the store well stocked. Sometimes the prices can be a little high but you just have to stay with the sales and you'll be ok. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I just LOVE Hobby Lobby. This location is fairly large since it used to be Ashley Furniture. Every single time I venture in, they have exactly what I am looking for and things I didn't know I was looking for. Are you into scrapbooking? Sewing? Painting? Just looking for some home decor? This is your place! And, it seems like everything is always on sale! Did I really need those two pieces of wall art? No, I did not but was I going to pass up 50% off? Absolutely not! All I needed was $6 worth of cork... So why only three stars? Because NOTHING has a bar code! This is very annoying because they can't scan anything to see if it is a true sale item. From what I can see, they are basically "guessing" what items are or are not on sale. I picked up a nice "Man Cave" sign for the boyfriend at what I thought to be 50% off as well as an outhouse-inspired (I know, I know) piece of "wall art" for my cousin that was supposedly also 50% off only to find that only one was on sale even though they were both on the "50% Off Man Art shelf (or what have you)." Now, of course, I was paying no attention whatsoever at check out and didn't realize this until I got to the Ford and thought my total seemed off. *Sigh* My best advice is to simply pay attention at check out if you have any sale items. I shop at Hobby Lobby at least 3 times a week and spend a LOT of money there. Today, I was in shopping and went to purchase a basket that was in the Spring 50% off area. When I went to purchase it, the cashier said it wasn't on sale and she would have to call her manager. Amanda, the co-manager came up to the register and went to check to see if it was on sale. I walked back there with her to show her where I found it. She told me it wasn't on sale and it's NOT part of the Spring sale. I told her there were 5 others on the back wall and that it states 50% off! She said, "it's obviously not part of the sale, is it?" and walked away. The store is very tidy and the staff is very helpful and kind but the never have what I am looking for and the staff takes forever to ring up people. The cricut material is low or not there and the selection of colors is so small. There is tons of glittery stuff but not basic solid colors. I usually end up going somewhere else and finding what I need. They have such a large holiday and decor section, i wish they would put that much attention into the craft areas. read more

Found what I needed! Today they had some really good sales going on. I wish I knew in advance lol. I only brought a little cash to buy contact paper. It seemed like EVERYTHING was on sale. I saw a huge wall clock on sale for $10. I bought 5 large canvases (idk the size) for $9.99. I'll probably be back in there tomorrow. I need to go without my kids so that I can shop. read more

First off, I don't give our 1 star reviews that easily. It's gotta be BAD. It's bad. This place is a cluttered nightmare. Like one other reviewer mention, the pricing is haphazard and impossible to figure out. Everything is on sale all the time but then...oh sorry, this isn't. And full price is a rip off at this place. They sell resin painted knick knacks that cost all of 25 cents to manufacture then jack up the price 1,000%. It's like a really expensive dollar store. Also, Jesus is lurking around every corner (and he's often on sale, which i found amusing). I'm sure that's a positive for some, but it's a negative for me. The craft section is useful but it's not some diamond in the rough. There are dozens of craft stores in this area I can go to that are much better organized and aren't also brimming with stuff that looks like it belongs in my great aunt's house. read more

AWFUL. For one, yarn was nine dollars cheaper than the same thing at Michael's. When I went to ask for help, the only person in the store was the woman cutting fabric. She was a huge jerk. Treated me like I was stupid and then wasn't helpful at all. Six people milled around the registers but none of them were open when four people were waiting to check out. We finally just left. This store is huge and it is very easy to lose track of time while browsing aisle after aisle. I like to purchase all of my picture frames and holiday decor here. I guess my only complaint is that sometimes the items are a bit damaged. Picture frames are scratched, figurines have chips in them, etc. I am not sure if this happens while items are being shipped to the store or if it is employee negligence. Clean and well organized but I would love if someone would ask me if I needed help instead of me having to track someone down or weave in and out of the hundreds of isles to find chalkboard signs. sigh. I normally love Hobby Lobby, but my experience here was horrible the other day. I chooses some flower wall decor that was 50% off. At the register, they didn't ring up 50% off. When we pointed this out to her, she was incredibly rude. She snobbishly pointed out the "yellow your price sticker" and said it was excluded from other promotions. When I asked her what she meant, she rudely said it's excluded it won't work. This lady didn't ever apologize for the inconvenience or offer to double check on it. I was with my mom who suggested to me that we come back later to purchase them with coupons one at a time. Upon overhearing this, the cashier raised her voice again aggravated to tell us it won't work. At the end she didn't tell us to have a nice day, sore or even anything. In the past, I have had great experiences at Hobby Lobby. I had not been to this location before. The selection of products was great, but when we went to checkout, our cashier couldn't have been less cordial. Her name was Rebecca, and if any of her managers are checking these reviews, I was in your store on Friday, June 7th at 12:45pm. She did not say anything to us until one of our products did not have a price tag on it. She then asked me to go back and grab another one, in a non polite tone. I have worked in customer service for years and I know that one of the keys to success is not to ask the customer to do something that you can do for them. She then reluctantly asked for assistance from another associate to find the price for us. Once she was told the price over her phone she did not inform us and just added it to the list. There is a possibility that we or other customers in the future may have thought the price was too high. I just suggest that this employee receive training on politeness and customer service. read more

I come here a lot. They have a great selection and one or several of the departments are always on sale. They also have two permanent clearance sections and an occasional 60-90% off section a few times per year. I really like their merchandise but it can get very pricey which is why I always buy things on sale and check out the clearance. The store it's self is usually pretty clean and the staff is also pretty helpful most of the time. They also have a huge parking lot so that's never a problem. read more
