The business model for this company is SO deceitful. The "one month free" really isn't a month but until the 31st, regardless of when you sign up; which I found out when calling to confirm our move-out date. On top of that, they don't send bills, reminders or any sort of e-mail, so you just have to figure it out... By then, I assumed they had my credit card on file, since no reminder/bill arrived, so when we went to move our things, our space was locked, we owed the rent, and they charged an extra $60 on late fees. When I asked about that on the phone they say "they don't do that (send bills)". Not only did that delay our move for 30 mins that we had to pay our movers, but left a horrible taste. When we called a few days later to cancel, our account was already canceled, even though we had paid until the 31st. An absolutely horrible experience, with a malicious business model. read more

If you need self-Storage DO NOT USE @ezStorage! I have been with them 3 years. The price has gone up every year & almost doubled even with a veterans discount. They current price online to lure new customers is the same as I originally paid. Can't understand why a new customers unit is priced so much better than a loyal customer? I usually don't write reviews however I felt compelled to write one today. The first time that I came past EZ storage located in Sterling/ Herndon Virginia, 2 years ago I met a young lady by the name of Debbie and her husband. They have some of the best customer service that I have ever experienced in an extremely long time. The staff there are so well trained by Debbie and her husband and loaded with accurate information to be able to assist any customer that comes in. However there have been a few staff members that may need to stay under Debbie and her husband just a tad longer just to grasp those necessary skills to be able to assist customers in an appropriate fashion. I was in the facility about three weeks ago and a young lady by the name of Patricia Hall was in the facility. Not knowing whether I am already a customer or a potential customer she was not only rude to me as a potential customer but she was extraordinarily abrupt and abrasive with the staff. I would never have known that she was the district manager only because she was shabbily dressed and just had a air of discontent and unawareness about her person, no tact, no professionalism and absolutely no respect for any other person in her immediate area weather potential customer or staff member. There was a young man by the name of El Dorado who was amazing. He was trying to help me and every other customer that came into the facility at that moment. All this time I thought that Debbie and her husband were the owners of this particular location. I asked for them and was told by one of the other staff members that came from the back that she and her husband were out for four days, I was immediately saddened. But lo and behold Debbie and her husband came in as I was standing there about 15 minutes after I have my brief encounter with Ms. Patricia Hall who is supposed to be the district manager. I told them about my experience and one of the other ladies by the name of Ms.Peggy who is always extremely helpful and very professional let me know that Debbie and her husband are not the owners but they are staff members as the rest of them are. I was absolutely shocked, stunned and dumbfounded. Debbie and her husband have always been extraordinarily helpful weather it is information on a unit, moving to a larger unit, information on how payments need to be made and or placed, who to call when things aren't working appropriately, just a plethora of things. The staff is always kind calm and courteous. I'm just hoping that someone from the corporation itself gets a chance to read this and understand from a consumer standpoint that it pays to have people like Debbie and her husband running their facilities. read more

Clean, easy to access storage unit. However, we've had our unit for over 3 years and each year (and sometimes twice in one year) the owners raise the price by A LOT. Rate started off just under $100 for a teenie unit and now I'm up to $157 due to "increases in operating costs." I'm sorry, but that's absurd. Getting our stuff out this month. Pro's: 1. The building is very good - clean, AC, no bugs that we have noticed. 2. Hours open for you go get stuff are good. 3. parking lot is secure. Problems: The management unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired, both in this local franchise and their corporate office. 1. every time wer have switched anthing to do with our account - card charged, size of unit, etc, there has been a problem where they fail to set us up with automatic billing. We sign the paper they request and yet it never happens till we are late with the next month's payment becasue we think it is auto and they don't. If, like us, you ever need a refund, you have to be prepaired to 1. wait for a check, despite the fact that reversing charges via any credit card program is super fast and easy and 2. wait up to 30 days for this check. 2. the two women that work in the office are not personable at all, in fact they are downright rude. They are curt and unpleasant, and told us things that were downright lies. 3. When you ask for the corporate office number so you can get some straight answers, they will tell you that they can not give it out, when in fact it is right on their webste. 4. Corporate office will do nothing about this when asked. 5. District managers do not return calls. 6. Prices on the website are not accurate - they do not include tax and insurance, somethign that adds @ $13.00 to the monthly bill read more

Hello to all, I would think twice before renting here! I have been there the day they opened I have had more then 20 units over the years thousands of dollars spent there. I left for a year and had a warehouse and times got tuff I went back again. So I can say I liked the service and storage facilities for sure! But, I just had my unit sold off with other people's thkngs in the unit that the property managers Debra and Jerry were well aware of from day one when the place opened. I have spent 9 hours of my day calling asking begging for who has this product that does not belong to me to please give me info to recover it. I was informed by Debra and Jerry they don't have to give me any info or talk to me for that matter. They would send a email to general manger that would respond on 48 hours. I'm i wrong time is a big factor here! Right? It's all cash sales!! They don't have info for who bought my items!! Then call back to Sterling location they say they can't give me docs that say it was for sale??? Call corp again and speak to Erin Dickerson that was not available the first time and she says there is noting I can do for you or any info I can give the public! Thought I was a paying customer over all the years guess not! Tells me her manger is not available like last time Jill Fairchild sorry if the name is spelled wrong she never gave that too me either because this person does not have a number call back to the main number 877-467-8673. EZ storage is so clean, easily accessible, lots of push carts available, several loading docks. The owners make it so easy to check in and help you. Bring your own lock or you can buy one in the office. I have used this in between houses and now my sister has used EZ storage. She actually cancelled a unit at another place just to be in this air conditioned, affordable, well maintained facility. read more

Clean facility and friendly management . Make sure you look at the website for promotions. Also, if you do not want the property insurance program make sure you cancel ahead of time because you can't take it off once the bill comes. The unloading dock tends to be busy and people will park everywhere so be careful. read more
