I have been coming to this store for year and when I say this is my favorite UPS Store and team, I truly mean it. I handle a lot of complex international shipping for work, and they consistently go above and beyond to make sure everything arrives on time and in perfect condition. Every single person here is helpful, kind, and incredibly efficient, but Jay and John have gone out of their way for me more times than I can count. Shipping is usually my least favorite task, yet I genuinely enjoy coming to this store because of them. I'm so grateful for the care, professionalism, and support they provide. I went to this location to send some very important packages for overnight delivery to CA. Unfortunately there ended up being a problem with the delivery in CA. I called UPS customer service and didn't receive any help, so I decided to call the Plaza of America store. I spoke with Jay, one of the store managers and explained my issue. He took the time to call the UPS center where the problem took place, and got the driver to go back and deliver my packages that day. He was so helpful kind. He saved me from a lot of trouble at work and I can't thank him enough. You should definitely use this store for your shipping needs. read more

Today I arrived at the Reston UPS with a large, bulky item that I had not been able to properly fit into the large box it came in. I was returning the item because it was defective. Alfred kindly and patiently took the time to fit the item into the box. It was not easy but he did it efficiently and taped up the box seamlessly in the process. I recently had 3 packages get delivered to an incorrect address in Reston, VA and spoke with John at store #0316 at Plaza America who tried to help me with my situation. John went way above and beyond to try to help me get my packages and was so sympathetic and helpful even though I live in California. He was efficient, patient and understanding and you could tell he was a great manager as the other employee I spoke with on the phone was also extremely polite and helpful. I wish John worked at our local UPS store here in CA! I just noticed on Yelp that there are other comments so similar to mine, and it's honestly no surprise. This UPS store has great customer service for the most part, yet the pricing is wildly questionable. I shipped two packages to the same address just days apart and the much larger box cost almost $20 less to ship than the smaller box, mind you, both boxers were over $60 to ship which was mind blowing to me! After reviewing my receipts I saw that there were additional charges for shipping containers (this was accurate as I needed boxes in both cases) yet then additionally 2 other charges for both shipments for shipping supplies and shipping services! They also didn't pack my last shipment while I was there and left me feeling uneasy (but I have been tracking it via the app and also will validate its arrival with my family member of course). All in all I'm not sure I would revisit this location or possibly even use UPS going forward as it felt a bit like I was taken advantage of . read more

I am not sure what kind of operation they are running here, whether this is of their own volition or due to corporate policy, but despite all of the bad experiences I have had with numerous UPS stores across the nation due to their incessant princessant price gouging over peanuts, this takes the absolute cake: I went to print and pick up a PDF file consisting of 5 pages. Pretty normal stuff, right? You would think it would cost a dollar, maybe 2 tops. My bill came out to $3.25, though, largely due to a $2.50 charge for emailing them my document. So on top of having outrageous fees for "computer use", this and/or other locations now try to get money out of you for simply emailing your documents and avoiding using their computer; the main reason of which was simply to get the document, nothing else. This is outrageous and unconsciable. I would advise everyone against patronizing this joke of a business. read more

I went to this store because they've done a good job with earlier print requests when my printer wasn't up to them. This time, I had a large job in 3 pdfs on my phone, and Nicky was trying to help me when the e-mails with the pdfs kept repeating 'couldn't send'. She did NOT stop trying to find a solution - was also very helpful about choices of format - and when eventually it just seemed like nothing was going to fix this and it appeared that my WiFi connection was a problem, she suggested leaving the store and trying from farther away. I did that, it worked, and when I came back into the store she was doing a big 'yaaay', which all made me feel like she was really invested in solving my problem (thank you, Nicky). read more

Kirk, at the South Lakes Store 4188, welcomed me in, and immediately obtained all the information he needed to prepare the shipping label for the package I was sending to my family out west. He was efficient and friendly and asked if he could help me in any other way or if I needed supplies such as stamps. I will definitely take my business to that store again. I was sliced open by a team member using a tape gun! He did it by accident? I hope. only because his boss was telling him to charge me for a new return pacage. He wanted him to re-wrap up my small bathroom run with plastic wrap and charge me. We thought it would be fine in the original plastic covering and the guy in charge keept arguing that I should pay for wrap and tape ect... I get it ups wants my cash...The yunger staff member now irritated just found a tape gun and started to deal with it. He accidentally I'm hopeing pressed the metal cutting edge int my thumb area cutting me open. He then went to get me a bandage. When he walked off the manager got mad and asked me why he left. I then showed him my hand said he cut me by accident. The man instantly got defensive and said "I should not have been using the tape gun!" I had never tuched the tape gun it was pushed into my hand cutting it ut i did not say a word to him. This manager instantly blamed me and just went about finishing the return with no apology. He then handed me a ticket and dissmised me by going to the next customer. The 3rd employee in the work area then grabed that same tape gun. I imediatly said hay you should clean it I was just cut open by it. He payed me zero mind and taped up the next package for his customer. Oh ya did I fail to mention Covid? And store cleaning procedures and osha and CDC guidelines. None were properly observed here. The 1st guy who cut me open final returned with the bandage and I could leave the store and cry about being trated so rudely. I then took on the task of trying to notify UPS corperate or customer care. It took me over an hour trying random phone numers and autimated computers to reach customer suport for ups. Getting looped over and over by computers sucks. They finally talked to me and said they would tell HR. And here I am several hours later with no call...worst retail experance of my life. read more

This UPS Store saved me over the weekend! I made the mistake of not being downstairs at my office building when the UPS driver came by. The doors were locked so the package couldn't be delivered. I was able to get ahold of this store and they managed to get me in touch with the driver so I could get it that same day!!! Absolutely saved my company move-in as there was important network equipment inside. Cannot thank John enough. This is probably the best UPS location I have ever dealt with!!! read more

Have only ever dropped off packages here to be sent back, mostly Amazon packages. Employees are friendly, service is quick and I'm usually in and out of this store in less than 5 minutes. Have not had the opportunity to do anything else here, but since I'm moving very close to this location soon, I'm sure I will have the opportunity to use it for shipping out packages as opposed to going to the post office. Looks like they have plenty of mailboxes if you choose to rent a P.O. Box from them. I have done so at another UPS Store location in the past and it works out very well because you are actually given a street location for and it doesn't seem like its just a P.O. Box in any old place. I see all 5 star reviews for this place, and mine is no different since every time in the store has been superb service. I look forward to utilizing this store for other needs besides just dropping off packages to be returned. read more

I have my PO Box for my business here and this staff makes me feel so welcomed every time I walk in! I get greeted by name, raced to my mailbox as they try to hand my mail to me instead of me using my key to open the box. They look out for me and notify me when packages or checks come. I had 5 heavy boxes full HUGE proposals in binders to send to one of my clients in Texas, and was struggling with getting FedEx to pick them up at my office. I finally was fed up and decided to take them to the UPS store up the street. I needed a push cart to haul these heavy boxes to my car. I pulled up in front of the UPS Store and started to unload these boxes, and an employee came out quicker than a hiccup to help. After taking one in, I was getting the cart out of my car. "You don't need that he said" as he picked up one box, then asked me to stack another on him. Fair enough ... but he said thank you sir may I have another? (Well, not literally) I plopped the small box on top and he easily took all three inside. BEAST MODE! He then took the last box while I parked and then went inside. I was promptly served and got my packages shipped with no hassle or frustration. I have used this UPS store a few times with excellent service, but this time they went above and beyond. read more

In mid Feb 2019 I went to the store with items from my mother's home to be shipped to Florida, all of them were sentimental items and John and Nicki packed them securely and everything arrived in tact. In mid March 2019, I again contacted them via phone to ship large items, rug , table and chair with the same priceless sentimental value. Worst customer service and most aggressive rep I have ever seen at UPS. The woman with the brown hair yelled at me because I refused to pay $2.25!!! for a label. I think 1. its completely ridiculous to charge that much, but 2. Nobody told me there was a charge. She said to me "why would I do anything for free?" Really UPS? How do you have people work for you like that. In any normal service operations she would have just said, OK no problem, I'm sorry we didn't advise you and A just done it for free or option B send me home to print it out myself. Now, you wasted your time and print out and it went in the garbage. So dumb. I will never go back to that store. This employee should get emotional support. Seriously read more

After mailing packages regularly to CA for years, I tried this UPS and it is wonderful! John and his staff were always courteous, helpful and efficient. I had gone to every FED-EX and UPS in the area, and was so happy to find a business that was so helpful. They carry heavy packages from my car, hold the door, have all on the computer so I don't have to fill out all the forms, and are just nice. I sent all of our sons wedding presents to CA through this store, requiring a shipping flat, and every piece of stemware, silver, china, etc. got there safely!
