I walked in today with it being my first visit to Parcel Plus and was immediately greeted by the staff. Kevin made sure I had all the proper paperwork for my shipment and told me I was potentially missing a proper label. He said he'd give me a call to let me know if the driver couldn't take the package with the label I provided. He even said he could pack everything up for me and make sure proper documents were inside the package as well as visible on the outside. Kevin followed up with me later in the day to confirm that the package got sent out without issue. I just feel like this customer service was above and beyond and I'm very appreciative. Had a bad experience at Parcel Plus in Kentlands today trying to get a passport photo for my husband. He is about 5'10" (not so tall) and in his 70's with a painful back. The girl taking the photo made him crouch down "because I'm short"... Wow, what about my husband's painful back? What about a chair? So asked if the taller manager could take the second picture instead since first wasn't right even though my husband crouched down to accommodate her height. Well, the manager melted down claiming his colleague was competent and he was too busy. Amazing rudeness at this place. When these folks get to be 70ish and have physical pain issues, let's see how they like people treating them with that type of disregard and insensitivity. Not a place we will return even though we've been going there for many years and knew original owner Andrew. UPS at Quince Orchard offered a totally different, friendly and respectful experience. Provided a chair, took 3 shots and allowed us to pick the one we liked, offered us passport forms if we needed them. Treated us like valued customers. Night and day experience. read more

This location will have my business so long as I'm living anywhere in the area. I've been using them for 8+ years now and never had an issue. I had a major problem today with a company I was returning an item to claiming that it had never been shipped or scanned for tracking. Of course I'd misplaced my receipt from Parcel Plus showing that I had shipped the item for return. I called up Parcel Plus and spoke to Kevin who went above and beyond to help me with the time sensitive return. After a few phone calls and screenshots in emails, it seems that the issue is sorted out (fingers crossed!!). Dishonest business even when challenged. I took an item to ship for a return. I told the girl working to send it the cheapest option as there was no time constraint. The package was 22x11x5 and 3 lbs. She told me the cheapest option was USPS and it would be there Tue/Wed, but the price was $39.00, which seemed high. I asked if that was cheaper than UPS/FEDEX ground, and she said, "nope, they were around $40.00, it's because it's going to California". I didn't feel like interrogating her, but had my hunch she was pushing USPS for some reason. Once I got outside, I check both UPS and FEDEX, and both were about half the price. I'm not going to fight over $15.00, but think it's important for others to know of their dishonest business. I imagine I am not alone... read more

Very bad experience! I used Parcel Plus at Kent lands to ship legal docs overnight via Fed Express including some copies of checks. When I tried to use the provided receipt and tracking number given to me by the parcel plus employee to confirm delivery I got no results. NOTHING! After contacting the manager and waiting a day for a response I was told there was a bit of a mixup. The employee had voided out the original package because of a of a mistake in the mailing information or in the address information. He voided it out and then gave me the tracking number for the voided out package. So i was given a voided out tracking number by the Parcel Plus employee. Extremely frustrating and scary given the sensitive nature of the documents which were sent. The cost of this shipment was $64.50 which the manager said he would credit. A day later they determined the package was delivered but guess what no credit was issued not even a partial credit for the aggravation and stress caused by Parcel Plus. Horrible customer service and complete incompetence on the part of the store clerk. I repeat if you have important documents to send overnight take them directly to Fed Ex or UPS. The Manager/Owner-Andrew F. needs to Retire. He is Rude, Unprofessional and his demeanor is quite prejudice. I "dropped" off a sealed envelope to be place in one of the assigned Parcel Plus Mailboxes and he mailed it to me stating with a sticker, "Additional Postage Required". He have yet to give me an apology for his unprofessional actions. He is now accusing me for "Defamation" because of my "Negative" review on Yelp. FYI....Is it illegal to write a negative review? To back this up, Congress passed a law in 2016 called the Consumer Review Fairness Act, which made it illegal for companies to add terms to their contracts that banned customers from posting negative reviews--or fined them if they do. read more

I've never had any issues with this place. I love walking in, dropping off my packages within seconds, and leaving. Parking isn't bad either. But I loved my experience with Junior. I needed to mail something and he was so efficient with finding me the best price. He was so patient, helpful, and even thoughtful. I wanted to think about it and came back in an hour. Don't ever give this horrible establishment your money!!! The nastiest service I've ever received. The man working here charged me $3.50 to print one page. Yes, one page. I only came to this place because it's close to my house. The man did not mention these charges beforehand and I was here weeks ago and was NOT ripped off by the young lady working that day. I never thought to ask the man the rate per page because NO ONE charges those kind of rates. This place is obviously hurting for business and it's sad they would take such a horrible customer service approach. Wowing a customer = repeat business. Staples (5 minutes down the road) charges pennies for single copies and the service is outstanding. I will continue to give Staples my business, even though I love supporting local businesses. The young African American guy is absolutely ridiculous. He is rude & unprofessional. One time I called to check my mail because I moved & didn't want to drive 1 hour if there wasn't any mail. Needless to say he put me on hold...I ended up driving there picked up my mail still on hold. He was in the back with his feet kicked up on the desk with ears phones on. He never came back to the phone. Today I called to see if he mailed a package from 2 months ago that was never received & it's STILL THERE. We have been coming to Parcel Plus for years, we also have a mailbox there as well. Eileen, Lorraine and Andrew are really wonderful and always handle our (sometimes strange) shipping needs. We receive a lot of packages there as well, and it's great knowing they get delivered safely versus sitting outside of our home. They never bat an eyelash when we come in with something large that needs to be wrapped and shipped carefully. This store and its owners have no idea what customer service is about. Yesterday I stopped at thIS store to send a labeled, pre-paid, UPS package. I was told at the store that it I wanted a receipt to verify my drop off of the package I would need to pay $0.75! When I asked why I was told that UPS only pays the shop $.80 to take a package from a customer and that giving a receipt was "too much work" for the PACKAGE STORE. THE OWNER ALSO TOLD ME I DID NOT NEED A RECEIPT BECAUSE, "I ALREADY PRINTED THE LABEL AND THAT WAS ALL I NEEDED! It amazes me that people who are in the service business treat customers this way. Stay away from this store because if and when you are notified that the package you posted with them did not arrive you will have no proof of package drop off. I wonder if store employees and the owner realize that without a receipt from them you, the customer, have absolutely no recourse. Maybe that's why they will not issue a receipt. BEWARE read more

She pointed to a computer terminal behind the counter, and I had at it. 5 minutes later, I walked out of the store with my papers and an introduction to Andrew, who will be helping me with my business cards when I return to the store in a couple weeks. BEWARE! HUGE inflated prices for shipping. After leaving feeling completely ripped off I decided to price check my shipping rates. I was appalled at what I found. Package 1: Charged $10.39 for a 10oz small package, looked on USPS and it's $5.30, that's a 96% upcharge. Package 2: sent via FedEx ground, charged $23.42, but on FedEx, it says I could have shipped for $10.94, a 114% upcharge. Package 3: NEVER shipped! Was quoted $233 for an international DHL package, but on DHL.com it's $144, a 61% upcharge. What a slimy business. Won't return, ever. read more

I brought my package to Parcel Plus because they can compare different shipping methods so you can choose the cheapest price. What they don't tell you is that they weigh a package at 1 lb 4 oz but charge you for 3 lbs and then add on a massive surcharge. I was charged $25.36 for my package. When I came home and checked the price on USPS, I could have mailed it for $10.80. I also checked the UPS price which would have been $12.78. I will never step foot in their store again. read more

I found the staff at this facility extremely rude and unprofessional. I tried to pay for shipping and notary services at the same time. The cashier seemed taken aback by my request and only processed one service, only to have me pay and go back to the 1 person line. I then tried to send a prepaid envelope and was told a receipt with tracking number would be 75¢. I refused to pay for a receipt, and while waiting for my shipment to be finalized, a man, who I presume was owner or manager, told me that if I wasn't paying for a receipt I should go ahead and leave. Absolutely terrible!!! Failed to deliver my package without any explanation. And charged me $269.58 service fee never refund a cent. The store manager at Olney, MD even guaranteed 3 times for the delivery. I called the store many times and even went to the store. But their manager was never available. They promised to call me back, but it never happened. I have never experienced service as bad as this. I would like to give a negative star if there is one. Guess the store desperately need money during this pandemic period and know how to get money from their customs! No USPS in my lifetime!!! read more
