BUT the big bonus came when talking to Michael (and why I am writing this review) about a stature that I brought back from Colorado which ended up with a break at the bottom, an with pieces missing and lost. He asked if he could try restoring it, to which I said sure, since it was pretty much useless the way it was. I really did not have much hope for it. But about a week later Michael presented me with that statue, fully repaired and good as new. Where the bottom part was missing, he was able to sculpt a piece that fit perfectly and matched the color of the statue so you could not even tell where it was broke. He had also cleaned and polished the statue, and finished the base so it no longer showed signs of scratches and wear. So again, even if just for the statue, I really have to thank Michael, and again would highly recommend him

He found the problem and fixed it. The "extra mile" was his applying heat shrink to the soldered leads which has two benefits: - stabilizes the leads against strain, and, should they get pulled again, prevents them from touching and should prevent electrical short circuiting. This attention to detail is all too unusual in today's marketplace. Kudos to Elman.

He said he'd give me a call to let me know if the driver couldn't take the package with the label I provided. He even said he could pack everything up for me and make sure proper documents were inside the package as well as visible on the outside. Kevin followed up with me later in the day to confirm that the package got sent out without issue. I just feel like this customer service was above and beyond and I'm very appreciative. Especially if the junk you have is more than the garbage workers can handle. For a long time we have had bedding frames that should have been removed by Bob's Discount Furniture. The people assigned to remove the bedding refused to take frames. Long story short,...the hell with Bob's Discount Furniture. Today, I am taking the bed flats to The Montgomery County Shady Grove Transfer Station and Recycling Center. When I lived in Rockville, I remember passing this place a number of times and never gave it a second thought. The signs for where to go aren't to clear, but once you enter through the main gates it pretty much a direct path. Once you get to the top of the hill, the garbage waste is on the left. There is also a place to get rid of unwanted oil. If you go to the left, the first station you will see on your right is the electronics center. This is for unwanted computers, tv's, playstation, xbox and holiday lights to name a few. Behind the electronics disposable is the paper recycling center. Unwanted bicycles are sometimes deposited here as well. The next location is for Residential Oil Waste. I have not needed to visit this location except for driving around it. Getting rid of the planks from our old bed was very satisfying. Granted I would have like to recycle the wood, but I had more issues with trying to recycle wood "the right way", that I no longer cared what happened to the wood. Nevertheless, in just a few short minutes I was able to get rid of what I did not want. This place makes the Virginia Recycling Center look like child's play. My plan is to get rid of the last three sections of our old bed by next week. We will see what happens when that time comes.
