This family run postal location accepts UPS packages. It's very close to my home so a quick drop off makes for convenient shopping. The staff is cordial not over accommodating. Went to mail my state taxes in a regular 10" x 13" envelope, certified mail, and was charged a flat "$10," which is what would have paid using priority mail envelope. Was not even offered that alternative. Regular post office would have been around $5, so a $5 upcharge. The receipt sketchily listed "stamps" as the charge. Edited in response to below that there was no discussion of alternatives. I asked for certified mail, which normally runs about $4.65 per USPS.com. If I was paying $10, should have been offered priority instead. I did try calling store to clarify charges after coming back home and seeing receipt but call was not answered. read more

Needed to get fingerprinting done and this was the closest place. Came early and got done quickly. That was the good part. Service lacking, fingerprint machine was terrible or maybe I don't know how to use my hands, had to rescan 5x for each stage. Felt scolded at each step. I'm never rushed and they will always double check everything for accuracy with you. In reading other reviews, there seems to be an up charge, but I honestly haven't noticed it much. Dont return you Amazon or UPS deliveries through here. Even though they have a big UPS sign in their window, I was told I would need to "come back" (there was no line) after I called a number and asked them to email me a link to a mailing label that UPS providers are supposed to print automatically. Ive never had this happen to me before and I return Amazon packages all the time. I would guess that goes against any franchise or UPS logo usage but I'm not the mail police. At least, I'd expect more courteous customer service. I wanted to like this place since it's so close to me but I see why it has so many bad reviews. They're going to need to actually care about their customers to stay in business. read more

I walked into this facility during the pouring rain and inquired if they were an approved drop off for both FedEx and USPS. They replied that they were, so I carried my packages inside but needed tape to adhere the labels. They wants to charge me $0.79 for the use of their tape. Whatever happened to customer service. That you would change the cost of a full roll do tape just to use a few inches of tape is RIDICULOUS. I picked my items up in the pouring rain and left and went to Walgreens where they happily let me use their tape for free. read more

We have worked with Postal Connections for the last 3 years, and they are always helpful and friendly. They are not the post office, or owned by UPS or FedEX, they are a family owned franchise and they have to make money, so naturally it is going to cost a little more to ship something than if you took it to the post office. You are paying for convenience. If you want to have a place that you can drop off your "pre-paid" packages, you had better support them by giving them some "paid" business. read more

This lady is a dishonest wench who preys on people who decided not to become experts in the worlds most exhilarating industry, the postal service. I've been into this shop multiple times to drop off prepaid packages, and a couple times she's suggested my packaging isn't sufficient. Fortunately I run a small online shop and am constantly shipping things so I knew she was full of trash and trying to get me to purchase additional packaging. Today I tried to mail a single envelope containing 1 paintbrush, 1 thank you card, and 2 pieces of felt - weighing a total of 3.3 ounces. 4 stamps would've covered it. Normally I'd go to the actual post office, but since I was passing her shop while running errands I figured I could take care of it there. After telling me stamps would not cover it, I asked for the least expensive shipping option. She said my cheapest option would be a little more than $8 and take between 6-10 business days. For standard USPS mail. Wrong. I told her to forget it and she suddenly remembered other cheaper options (funny how they didn't exist before). I took my envelope to the post office and paid $1.61 for 2 day standard USPS mail. Don't go here. Don't contribute to this smelly pirate hookers price gouging. See you next Tuesday. read more

I've had a couple occasions recently when I had to drop off packages that were pre-labeled for UPS pickup. Both times, the lady running the store was super friendly. She was also kind enough to suggest that I should photograph the label so that I would be prepared for any potential disputes with UPS should they lose my package. The most kindest people work there. I send many packages to Florida to aid with military. Never once has this store ever been nothing but kind professional and there prices are fantastic!! I recently made the mistake of stopping at a different postal store to mail an international package with contents to a child recovering from chemo battling leukemia. I stopped there because I was going past it. Big mistake. Huge mistake!! I will never use anyone but this store again. The lady who I think owns the place, is very rude and arrogant. I came in with mail to mail out, I was in need of envelopes . I bought 2 envelopes for .95cents a piece. I then asked if she could tape them up for me. She said it would be no problem. Once checking out the price didn't match the price of the envelopes. She then informed me that she was going to charge me for taping up the envelopes. Would have been nice if she informed me of that when I asked if she could tape them up. She was charging me a little over $1 per envelope to tape. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I went to the dollar store and bought a whole roll for a $1 and had plenty left over. I then I had drive back and drop of the envelopes. 2 days later I went in to drop off more boxes. This time I tapped them myself using my left over dollar store tape. I went in and dropped them off and she had the audacity to say, "much improvement from last time" EXCUSE ME, what gives her the right to be so rude to a customer. read more

Upon arriving at Postal Connection to mail a package I was promptly ignored. There was one employee working who was obviously frustrated with helping the current customer. After waiting for her to finish I questioned why she would ignore customers and she proceeded to yell at me that she was extremely busy (with one other customer). Extremely rude and not helpful. The incense burning in the store makes you wonder also -- weird smell is definitely a turn off. I advise going to the post office or UPS store. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. The owner is completely unethical. I dropped off two boxes ready to go and brought in my code from Amazon for my return...somethign I've done a million times at other stores. They scan it, print a label and send me on my way. Well, I was informed they didn't have the right machine to print from that. She offered to simply print out other return labels no problem at all she said. She said we simply call Amazon and she will get new labels printed for me. After 25 minutes (calling amazon to send me a new label, then emailing her my label, then waiting for my label to print out (one did and the second one never did because her machine was so old and slow). She tells me at that point....I owe her $.50 cents for the copies! Never once did she tell me I would be paying. It's not about the money....it's the idea that she would let the customer think she is handling it (as it was the store's fault they couldn't use the code from amazon in the first place!). I told her I've been here and had all this hassle....you can't tell me you are really going to ask me for 50 cents. She said yes...she has to pay for the toner of my 2 sheets. (again only 1 came out). I paid her and took back my boxes and will drop off at my UPS store in Ashburn Village who are SUPER nice and easy to work with. I will never step foot in here again. HORRIBLE unethical way of treating customers. AND painfully slow. Take your business elsewhere! read more

We are an easy walk from the Lansdowne Town Center and so we use this place every time we need to ship. I have only ever experienced friendly, courteous service, but it does seem to be a family owned franchise with very few staff, so I could see how they may get swamped at times and be mistaken for rude.
