Was advised to purchase tape and package my own return even thought the service I paid for clearly stated the UPS store would handle. Rep had a very nasty attitude from the jump and tried to belittle me. When I spoke to the manager to address unprofessional behavior by rep, I was disregarded. I got her name (she would only give me her first name) and called their corporate office to make a report. I will never conduct business here and have told everyone in my network about the disrespectful experience. If I could, I would give this place zero stars. read more

They provided awesome notary, email, printing and fax services. In trying to close real estate deal the team was very patience and helpful with getting ttogether and properly notarized. Hello, I went into ups store shirlington to return Amazon items, as I was gathering return labels on my phone, an employee by the name of Christy (red/burgundy dyed hair) was already agitated saying to her fellow employee (very nice guy w/excellent custOmer service) how it's just non-stop there saying she had other things to do. She raised her voice and rolling her eyes that I should've told her all the items was together, my phone was loading the return code, again her rolling her eyes. very nasty way towards me. I've been to this location many of times, never had an issue other than this female . customer Service skills are horrible. I will return BUT will not allow her to service me. read more

Signs all over the store saying how they can handle every "ing"--including notarizing. I waited 20 minutes, only to finally be seen and informed NO notary on staff. Seriously? Bare minimum customer service would be to post a sign informing people waiting around that the services you are advertising aren't actually what you are offering. read more

This review is not just about the store and its employees, but UPS overall. I tried to change a delivery location for a package. I needed it held at UPS location instead of delivered to the specific address because of the threat of theft. The store employees said they could do nothing to help me...even though the package is being delivered by UPS. Then I called the customer service number...WHAT A F#%^* WASTE OF TIME!! The "automated assistant" is apparently hard of hearing because it kept getting my tracking number wrong...no matter how many times I repeated it. And instead of connecting me to a live person...it assumed because it kept getting the number wrong...that I didn't have a tracking number...and hung up on me and told me to call back when I had the tracking number. No bin for drop offs. Have to wait outside. Not sufficient people working the desk. This location has gone downhill fast. Responding to the owners response: I never cut the line or acted disrespectfully. Who do you think you are making assumptions about who I am. Last Wednesday (1/26/22) Virginia had THE HIGHEST levels of COVID hospitalizations for the entire 2 year pandemic. Friday (1/21/22) I walk into my (former) favorite UPS store only to be totally shocked by the two employees behind the counter with no masks on, not even chin masks-just NO masks at all, like there is no pandemic happening. This business is customer facing! Some of your customers are immunocompromised and very high risk of death from covid! And the lack of masks is concerning! Is this the new normal for this location? Its 5 additional miles to drive to the UPS store at Seven Corners and that is what I'll do next time I need to ship a UPS package. I found the experience here mixed at best. First of all they charge $1.50 to print a pre-paid label. I did not have that experience at Seven Corners. Second of all when I asked about certain types of packaging it was suggested that they did not have it, and I sort of felt like I was on my own to figure it out from there. Have encountered much smoother processes at Seven Corners and also Merrified stores. I get that they are seeking a way to make some profit with the label printing, but if it turns off the customer and chases me away to another store for all my future shipments does it really work in the end? read more

Usually I don't have any issues here with any of the employees however today I was helped by Shivan & can I just firstly say he definitely has an attitude problem. Shivan made me feel like I was inconveniencing him even though there was no one else in the store when I came in. 0 customer service skills, he tried charging me for tape even though I make returns here on a weekly basis and Amazon returns do not need to be in packaging.. therefore I've never been charged for 2 pieces of tape. By pure luck I had a roll of tape & he almost had a fit because I asked him to borrow scissors as he was watching me rip up tape with my bare teeth. Then I finished with my packages and went back to the register where he was helping me when two other customers came in and he decided to help them first and have me wait. Okay. Then the machine was not taking my card and I told him there was nothing on the screen and he looked at me with disbelief like I was stupid and yelled what do you mean? Like just that Shivan.. nothing on the screen and again he was trying to help another person delivering packages even though that guy told him to go ahead and finish helping me first and Shivan got all flustered and told me to just tap my card however I told him my card does not have tap and he gave me a snarky "okay". Finally my receipt came out and he was helping the other guy because he couldn't wait 1 minute to finish my transaction and without moving back to my register he looked at me and said "ok grab your receipt". I would highly suggest you do not purchase shipping from this store. If you read the negative reviews, they're mostly about very aggressive pricing practices. In my case, I went to UPS.com, entered all of the correct details about my package (weight, speed, etc). The quote was $13.75. I took my package to this store and they told me the total was a whopping $28.71. After confirming all of the details were the same, I asked why the 110% markup from the online quote. The employee just told me "we're franchised, we can make our own pricing." As a small business owner, losing money on S&H charges because this franchise is price gouging is a deal breaker. read more

So I walk into the store and the conversation goes like this: HIM: Yeah, what do you need? ME: I need to mail this. HIM: What is it? ME (in my head): None of your f#$@ing business, how does that sound? ME (what I actually said): Something for my mother. HIM: Yeah, I got that, but what is it? He then proceeds to ask all my information - phone number, my address, the address I'm shipping to, everything...out loud and for everyone to hear. Luckily for me, he wasn't paying attention and I got to repeat it two or three times for each bit of information. How fun is that? Anyway, I didn't get to actually watch him box everything up (something I was charged $6 for) because he grabbed everything, slapped my receipt on the desk, turned and walked away while telling me the tracking number was on the receipt, then disappeared into the "back". They don't check info before shipping. Attempted to ship calming oil for my girlfriend's dog in Mexico and they claimed it was fine to ship. After the package sat in a warehouse for over a month I recieve a call from UPS saying my package was rejected and it will cost the same amount I paid to send it out just to get the package back. According to UPS anything consumed by animal or human requires a medical waiver from the ministry of health. I'm not sure why that information wasn't provided before shipping or why it took over a month to make that determination but here I am about to lose $100+ from initial shipping and $150 of oil... read more

I want to give a HUGE shoutout and say thank you to the staff here. I needed to send back a rather large Amazon item, but the original box disintegrated in the rain. I stressed for weeks wondering how I was going to send this back, but the store had a box big enough to accommodate the dimensions. They also made room in their store for it when another UPS store refused to take it saying they had too many packages to accept one more. The gentleman here unloaded the item from my car, and I went on my way as they packaged the item after I left.
