Parcel Plus packaged my mom's belongings, which ranged from big pieces of furniture to small knick-knacks, and got everything successfully shipped from Washington D.C. to California. This happened in 2011, but I've never forgotten how nice and helpful everyone was from the Sam's Park & Shop location on 3509 Connecticut Ave. NW. I don't know if E. Shelton is still with the company, but he is just the best and I hope that he and this location get recognized all the time. read more

I needed to ship large boxes of items from VA to CA after clearing out my mother's house after she passed away. It was a lot of precious-to-me items, including a grandfather clock made by my grandfather. Everyone at the store was helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and communicated well with me several times by phone. My items all arrived safely, and were packed better than I could have hoped for. Does not accept parcel returns for FedEx that require a QR code and aren't even slightly apologetic about it. When I asked "who does?", I was told: "Ballston". More accurately,it is located in a separate building at Glebe and Fairfax Drive. If this store doesn't take QR codes, consideration should be given to stating that on your website or on that of FedEx. read more

All I needed was to fax ("just the fax/facts Ma'am"), but to fax anything at Kinko's costs about $3-4.00 per page. I found Parcel Plus online where it is only $1.25 per page; no wallet-busters there. Tucked away at the back of the plaza, easy to park, you can do your other shopping too, and a nice couple owns the place. If I am this excited about faxing, I need to get out more ~ read more

I need to have my power of attorney notarized last week. I googled it around the area and found this wonderful place. I went in without making an appointment. The notary public was very polite and professional. He signed, stamped and sealed my document within minutes. He then helped me to make a few copies and FedEx overnight the envelope. I did all these under one roof. What a great place for one stop shop on your business needs! As a side note, while I was there, I saw this customer was getting mad at the staff when he dropped off his prepaid package un-taped. The staff explained to him that he could either purchase tape or they could tape the package for him with a small fee. He got furious and upset asking why he has to pay. For god's sake, the store has couple signs saying that there would be a fee if the package is not taped properly for prepaid drop offs. I almost wanted to offer that guy a $1.50 and called it a day. read more

I love this Parcel Plus (in Arlington by the Harris Teeter). I've been coming here for years. The ownership changed a few years ago but the service has always been excellent. I am usually helped by Elijah and Kalani, the two young people who work there. They are both polite, helpful, and hardworking. They greet you as soon as you come in and are so competent and efficient. I shop online a lot and have lots of returns, I have two kids away in college, and I have a bunch relatives around the country and in Switzerland -- so I'm there a lot. I always get great service and highly recommend them if you have anything to ship. The only negative is that they charge you ($2 I think) to take your UP Postal Service pre-paid packages. read more

i just stopped by the Parcel Plus near the Harris Teeter in Arlington. Such a great choice. It felt extremely safe (they have a huge hepa air filter in the main customer area; everyone double-masked up; hand sanitizer; distance markings for waiting in line; clean/dirty pen containers, etc.) and the two individuals who were helping me behind the desk (Jonathan and Elnora) provided me with the most thoughtful, expeditious service. In these Covid times, it was SO worth going to them to take care of sending some packages rather than wait in a line at the post office. I'm truly grateful and will stop by more often. read more

This place is all around horrible, John is a Thief and a lair, they will not ever provide the proper insurance for your package, and will dispute the claim until you loose more money! I went to get a notary and they didn't know what, documents they were and weren't able to sign, this place is very unprofessional. If you have big packages, don't come here. Teenagers play on their phones, offer no assistance as you struggle through the door to the counter, and look at you bewildered. I complained to the male teenager(sitting on the counter) that I could've used some help, and he kept looking down at his cell phone. I had to ask him to look at me when I was speaking to him. I complained to him again, he continued to play on his phone, Once again, I asked him to look at me when I was speaking to him.He responded with, "I don't have to."The manager was standing right beside him. It's such a struggle getting in and out of the Lee Heights shopping center, carrying a bunch of packages, and then receiving absolutely no assistance! Next time, I'm going to McLean. This is my go-to store for so many services. I ship quite a lot and the staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. they have gone overboard to help me resolve claims with UPS when packages are damaged. I also use their services for printing business cards and posters; the work is always fast and of great quality and cheaper than VIstaPrint since I don't pay for shipping. July 31, 2014. Very disappointed with unprofessional behavior. I called the evening before to verify hours because I needed a legal document notarized before going to work in the morning I spoke with the notary who said that he opened at 10am and had one employee who could be a witness to the signature (I needed two). So he said I'd need to bring one of my own. I arranged for my brother to bring my 84-year-old aunt (who uses a walker) to be a witness. When we arrived at 10am, the notary was not there and the employee did not know when he would be in. We had to leave--I had to go to work and my aunt had a doctor's appointment. read more

Beware what you see on-line ...IF you expect to actually get on-line quoted ground shipping prices published by FEDEX or USPS - think again. The estimate for a 38 lb std box came 5% above the the UPS estimate - it came in 30% above FEDEX and it came in a whopping 100% above USPS. Supposedly these were the cheapest ways to ship from VA to CA.. go to the source, if you want to have the rates of FEDEX or USPS , not to Parcel Plus. read more

I have used this place many times before because they are convenient and I never had an issue. However true colors show when a problem occurs. I dropped off a prepaid package and it was never scanned as received by them. When I visited the store to inquire they immediately got defensive and rude accusing me straight up of lying that I never dropped off the box. Rather than being sympathetic and try to make me at least FEEL like they cared, they immediately turned VERY rude and unprofessional, even turning their back on me, taking other customers in the midst of my asking their help to locate the package. I understand convenience is key but my fellow Yelpers, you should know they do NOT have a trusted scanning system and PLEASE TAKE A RECEIPT WHEN YOU DROP ANYTHING OFF!!!! I will never set foot in that place again because although problems can happen, a true testament to the business is how they handle problems. This establishment FAILED! read more

Nice people, good for some things (like UPS mailing) but a bit over priced for simple things like color copies.

This place is super convenient for me but no more! I will go out of my way. I have given them multiple tries and could overlook the fact that it is overpriced. However, the bs side charges for everything are too much. I was charged a 3 dollar fee on a prepaid ups box because it was over 72 cumulative inches and would take up too much space in the shop. This was at noon on a Wednesday! The box was right at 72 and I doubt the store would fill up before the 4pm pickup. They just try to squeeze every penny they can. They have lost my business and I suggest you go elsewhere read more

I have had many things shipped to me from this store. Some of them are very delicate. The owner did all the packing. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The price is very good and even includes insurance for the first $100 per box. The owner's wife has an unbelievable memory. She remembered what they shipped for me last year! read more

This location is just beyond rude. I tried to drop off a postage paid, pre-labled FedEx package. They would not accept it because he said the RMA order was invalid & there was no tracking number. I tried to explain to him the tracking number is generated when FedEx processes it. The vendor paid for the postage and told me I could drop it off with any FedEx driver or drop-off location. He absolutely refused to take it to give to FedEx. Luckily, the FedEx guy showed up then, he scanned the label, it was accepted in his computer system and he put it on the truck. The Parcel Plus employee was unapologetic and looked annoyed that I spoke with FedEx myself. I'm inclined to believe that it's because his store wasn't getting any credit for the package, sale-wise - but that is my own speculation. Otherwise, why the rude behavior and dismissive attitude? I won't patron this location ever again because of this man. read more
