But today I left the store completely unhappy. Today is Monday, May 1 at 1:15 PM. I did not catch the name of the young man that assisting me. He was rude and discourteous. There were no customers in the store. I did not have the Amazon information handy. I had three items to return. The WIFi was slow and it took time to retrieve the Q codes of the first two items. But, I could not find in the Amazon email the third Qcode. I apologize a few times for not been ready and offered to wait. But instead he was dismissive and spoke rudely to me. I left with my third item since he seem bothered by me. I guess his family did teach him any manners.

I used to avail of their great notary service for years, but on my…read morelast visit this past Thursday, October 22 at 6:25 pm, the lone, older, male Notary Public there, despite his friendly demeanor, gave me a lot of WRONG INFORMATION! 1st, he asked if I needed only my signature notarized or also the signatures of the witnesses. In the past, all the younger Notary Publics in the store had only notarized MY signature since I was the principal in the documents, and all the notarized documents were considered valid! Since the notarization fee has now risen from $5 to $10 PER signature, I would've spent $30 to have my signature notarized as well as the signatures of 2 witnesses PER document, and I had 5 documents to notarize, which would've totaled $150 in payment to this DISHONEST Notary Public! My husband said, he was just trying to make more money off of what he assumed was my ignorance. 2nd, he said that my husband could serve as a witness. Again, the younger Notary Publics there in the past had told me specifically that the spouse or any blood relatives of the principal could not serve as witnesses. I thought perhaps the rules had changed, so I double checked both these pieces of information online and true enough, they hadn't. The older notary public was WRONG on both counts! The signatures of witnesses DO NOT have to be notarized and close relatives cannot serve as witnesses. So if I had followed the info this guy had given me, he would've allowed my husband to serve as witness and gotten his money without any thought for the huge hassle & added expense I would have to go through when my notarized document would later on be rendered invalid with my spouse as witness. It's shocking how he failed to consider that his incorrect & misleading info could be verified online. Thankfully, I found a better Notary Public. Avoid this store at all costs!!

Overall it was an excellent experience- really impressive performance really. I've previous top- notch experience with C&F so my expectations were already high. Yet to say they super exceeded my expectations this time would still be an understatement. The pickup crew was professional which instilled confidence. Communication on shipment status was good. Their advice on how to prepare, ship, and insure was valuable.......overall, just as you'd expect from a quality organization. There was a delivery issue- not C&F's fault- yet they stepped up to take care of it. Wow! This was a big deal as it demonstrated how committed C&F was to customer satisfaction. Incredible really. Even Dave L. called afterwards to check on my satisfaction. Wow! As for value....... The quoted price was accurate, and they waaay over delivered IMO. I popped into Postal Masters (under semi recent new ownership) a few doors down where the owner, Omar handled sending out my package quickly and efficiently way faster service then the post office would have been. My package shipping fee ended up being cheaper using FED EX ground then Priority mail an added bonus using Postal Masters to have an option. I have now also dropped off return packages a few times way easier and faster taking them to one place for all shipping needs.

This was no exception and even on a weekday the place was extremely busy (1pm) due to its close proximity to a mall. There were at least 5 people ahead of me and all counters were opened. They have a hand cart in case you need to wheel some heavy items over. I had several pieces of equipment to ship and each one was nicely packaged for a 3 day FedEx Express Saver delivery. Usually when doing self-packing in the old days, I would have stuff come back with missing rack ears or slightly dinged up edges. In this case I paid for the extra filler, double wall boxes and everything arrived in good condition. Props to them for packing things so well and making sure it didn't exceed any weight limits. It's always tough finding specialty boxes that fit server equipment. Nobody asked for my ID (though many years ago I did get asked but that was for a retail purchase and not with an account #). I gave them our corporate FedEx account number and all they did was confirm my name. Not sure what happened with others but the manager on duty was the one that helped me. She knew exactly which items to ring up for the specialty boxes. Chalk it up to good luck perhaps because the items arrived a day early, exceeding expectations hence my 5 star rating for FedEx.
