I went here for my annual eye exam because they were in network and close to my office. Wow! Everyone was so professional and helpful. There was no waiting around or stuffy self important doctors. Instead, Dr Wang was very professional, informative and had a kindly manner. She recommended a variety of treatments for an eye issue that I've been having. I also was very impressed with the staff in the eyeglass area. It was an unexpectedly wonderful experience to the eye doctor! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Rhodes for the past 42 years and now Dr. Warstler is my primary optometrist. I would not trust my eye care needs to anyone else. I scratched my cornea three times in the past 24 months and each time Dr. Warstler and Dr. Rhodes made it a priority to see me and I never had to go to the emergency room for treatment. All the doctors at Eye Shop Eye Care genuinely care about all their patients and will always go the extra mile to get their vision restored. read more

Dr Rhodes is the only eye doctor I have ever used since moving to Houston in 2000. Originally recommended by coworker and near my office, I have continued to use her after retirement regardless of the 40-mile round trip twice a year. A great family practice! read more

Great service, very knowledgeable. All the safety protocols are followed also. The staff is friendly and helpful.

West Houston Eye did a very thorough job of prepping me for my exam after this dreaded virus has hit. They ask you series of profile questions before coming in and give you a bag for belongings and were taking extra attention to sanitary measures while maintainting social distance. You can still try on glasses and they keep them to sterized them after you have taken them off. I felt safe and that all attention to detail of cleanliness was excellent. read more

I went to get an exam and was charged $180 for an exam that was supposed to be $10. I went in and had my exam for The receptionist to tell me I didn't have eye insurance when in fact I did. I told her avesis then she proceeded to say no you don't have insurance. I call avesis and they said West Houston Eye wasn't in the network But I did still have an active policy. The receptionist never said that. She knew all of this information prior to me getting my eye exam and said nothing. DO NOT GO HERE! They will give you the service then charge you and outrageous price. They only offered to send a $45 claim to my insurance company when I paid $185. Im am extremely pissed with this facility and will never go back or recommend them. read more

The best doctors, no pressure to spend money they actually care about your health! 10000% recommend

I have been going to Dr. Linda Rhodes since 1985 (or thereabouts). She has examined me and watched me progress from coke bottle glasses, to soft contacts, to LASIK surgery, and soon lens. The entire office staff was professional, kind, and efficient. I was promptly examined, guided from machine to machine, and left within one hour, with a new prescription, and new Maui Jim sunglasses. I was thrilled to see a wide collection of frames available. GO TO THE BEST. This is West Houston Eye, in my opinion. read more

My first eye exam in 5 years. Everyone was extremely kind and everything ran smoothly. They kept it extremely safe as we're in the middle this pandemic. Dr. Linda Rhodes is a great conversationalist and a great Dr. Forgive me I can't remember her name but the woman who helped me pick out my glasses was amazing as well! Thank you everyone working at West Houston Eye read more

Dr Rhodes senior is absolute the best eye doctor I've had, and I have dealt with so many eye doctors in my life...

Can't say enough good things about West Houston Eye. Have been going there for years. Dr Ashley and staff are excellent!

I had a somewhat emergency due to a blood vessel bursting in my eye. I obviously didn't have an appointment but they told me to come in and they would look at it. Within a few minutes the doctor checked the eye and let me know it was not serious and advised me to monitor it over the next few days to a week. She expected the blood would disappear by that time and there was no cause for further follow up. They put my mind to ease and all is going well. read more

I really enjoy Dr. Ashley Bagwell's service. She and her staff are very nice, and take the time to get to know me and my eyes instead of rushing me out of the office with a new prescription. I've come to Dr. Bagwell twice now and really appreciate that they're able to fit me in on short notice (my work schedule can be crazy!). I referred one of my coworkers here earlier this year, and she also had a great experience with Dr. Bagwell. There are two eye doctors located on the 5th floor, so be sure to go to West Houston Eye and not Westheimer Eye- otherwise you'll be confused as to why they don't have your appointment on record! If you're looking for a friendly neighborhood eye doctor, look no further than Dr. Bagwell and the West Houston Eye Associates. read more

A friend of mine recommended me to West Houston Eye since I was dealing with terrible dry eye and vision change. The girls in the front were so kind and the young lady who started the tests was SO FUNNY! Dr. Bagwell was amazing and I completely forgot I was at an eye doctors office! She took her time and spoke to me without making me feel like a "patient." Dr. Ashley Bagwell was so wonderful and she understood how I felt with my dry eyes. She took her time and I did not feel rushed. I love this office! Very welcoming and had a great experiance. read more

In an update to the original review I wrote about West Houston Eye, I must make particular mention to how things played out a week following my review. In complete fairness towards this office, I was writing the review in mid-frustration and did not allow sufficient time to write more objectively. Hopefully I can provide the proper mindset here. Right after my first review, Dr. Rhodes resolved my issue very quickly. Both Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Bagwell made significant efforts to work with us and expressed their concern as to how things transpired. It is great to know just how much ownership and care was put into amending any less than pleasurable experiences we had at first. I greatly appreciate the lengths that were taken and remain quite confident that you will have a good experience. Mistakes, especially clerical, happen often anywhere you go. What matters to me, and I know for most consumers, is how exactly it is handled. In the case for West Houston Eye, it was handled exceptionally. I take no hesitation in recommending them! read more
