Just had my second yearly vision check up with Dr. Desai and I'm kicking myself for not leaving a review last year. Dr. Desai is kind, attentive and thorough. I must say, the service at this location really is phenomenal. Kudos to the staff who made the uncomfortable part of vision testing as comfortable as possible as I was a bit jumpy (not annoying, when someone is looking in your eye, right?!) and broke out into a sneezing fit midway through. But, the outstanding attention and care Dr. Desai provided was thorough, informative and very patient. For the most part, I have always had minimal issues with my eyes until recently due to allergies. At the end of my visit, I had a much better understanding of what I was going through. Additionally, my 2 follow-up visits have brought me closer to a more comfortable contact as well being able to manage my dry eye issue. She really could not have been any better! read more

I was so excited to get my glasses after a bad experience at Walmart.... well Walmart seemed like a gem after what I experienced at this place! Horrible experience!! I kept waiting on my glasses and after calling numerous times they kept saying they called the lab... when in fact the lab was stalling because my eye glass prescription was improperly completed.... so a few days passed and I had finally received them! Yeah!!! I went ahead picked up my glasses and the person that had originally helped me was out!! I got home and made a call realizing that I had a small balance left on my glasses...just to make sure! The guy that dispensed them did not do his job correctly! To begin with! the Dr. WAS in the lobby he just handed them to me... told me to read a small print on a reading board( because they were progressives) and said have a good day!! Keep in mind this is WITH the Dr sitting in the lobby... what he should have done was sat me down and made sure my eyes were sitting where they needed to be! Well after wearing them for a few days and going to another place!!! Turns out!!! They were done wrong AGAIN!!! I called trying to get my glasses REdone but they had said that they were not able to! That I would have to PAY out of my pocket!!! Wtf!!! Of course !! My insurance paid for them!! They got their money!!! "Screw the customer!" Do u think I was going to go pay what that employee overlooked!! Hell no! So after all that! I went to another place! Great place that helped me! RUN from this place!!! Just a horrible experience! Keep in mind THEY USE THEIR OWN PRIVATE! LAB to do your glasses!! So it's their rules! Not your insurance!! read more

Dr. Desai is the best. She is very informative and takes her time with each and every patient. This place is very family friendly. She took her time evaluating each of my kids ages 3 to 12. Even my kids love her and the staff. You will not be disappointed giving this office a try. read more

I often struggle with 'white lab coat' syndrome (anxiety) when going to the doctor. I was really quite nervous before my appointment, but Dr. Desai was truly wonderful. Not only were her and her staff very kind and comforting, but the time she spent explaining everything and providing critical information to help me understand was great! I had such a wonderful appointment at Vision Source Memorial, I just had to write a review! I've been to my fair share of eye doctors, but none as thorough and dedicated as Dr. Desai. I went in for an annual eye exam, a new contact lens prescription, and new frames. The facility itself is super clean and super high-tech. Not only do they administer the standard vision checks, but they also have an Optomap machine that takes a panoramic view of the retina. Dr. Desai enlarged the images and took her time discussing everything she noticed on the Optomap. She pointed out a few areas of slight concern and fully explained what to ask my primary care doctor for in my next physical based on those results. I could tell she truly cared about me as her patient. She has a warm, bubbly, friendly personality. I was comfortable asking any questions I had during my exam. In terms of new contacts and glasses, I received free trials (2 weeks) of two different contact brands so I could decide which feels most comfortable before ordering. They have a great selection of glasses at varying price points going all the way up to top designer frames. The lady at the front desk and Dr. Desai helped me pick out new glasses and go through all the racks. I learned pretty quickly that Dr. Desai's thoroughness doesn't end at the eye exam! She sat down with me at the end of my appointment and did the math for all my insurance credits to try and see how she could apply them to get me the best possible price. Overall, I left Vision Source Memorial confident that I've found my forever Texas optometrist. It's not everyday you find such a kind doctor willing to go the extra mile for her patients! read more

Vision Source Houston is very nice. The facilities are impeccable, they have a great selection of designer styles and the staff are amazing and attentive. Dr. Desai is extremely friendly and puts you at ease from the get go. She is so knowledgeable and answered all of my questions in a way I could easily understand and thoroughly. Today I had my first visit. I've had a lot of problems with the comfort of my contact lenses. No optometrist has been as attentive to that issue as Dr. Desai. I had an extremely poor experience with Vision Source, Memorial Location. I paid a hefty price for single vision lenses that I cannot see out of. It took the facility a week to produce the lenses however I was told it would only take a couple of days. I took the glasses to my eye doctor who stated that the lenses looked a bit "warped." I decided to take them back to Vision Source, Memorial and spoke with the staff. I left the glasses for them to examine. It took 5 days for them to contact me regarding the faulty lenses. I was told that they would do what they could to correct the problem. I asked about a refund and was told they only give store credit. My fate seemed sealed to be stuck with an optical "middle-man" which I had lost faith in. To correct the problem, I was told that I may make an additional purchase of $700+ to upgrade the lenses. This was on top of the $388 I had already paid out of pocket. So now we are looking at over $1000 for lenses (not including the frame which was paid for by my insurance carrier.) This has been an awful experience and I cannot stress enough to others to stay away from this facility if you want to pay a fair price for glasses that you can actually see out of. The whole ordeal seemed like a con to get more money out of its customers. I have never had such a poor experience at ANY optical care facility and paid so much for glasses, especially ones that are faulty. Calls to Vision Source Memorial have not been returned to this day, 8/7/18. Beware friends, customer service and a quality product is not what this Vision Source is about. read more

Dr. Desai and her team offered the best eye doctor/glasses experience I've ever had. The store is immaculately clean and organized, and they have the latest technology. Dr. Desai walked me through the results of the retinal photographs they took and I was amazed to learn that diabetes, brain tumors, and eye melanoma/cancer can be diagnosed from the pictures, which I have never had taken in over 15 years of wearing glasses. Overall everything was great and they offered a wide selection of high end as well as cheaper frames which helps them provide their excellent services to the whole spectrum of customers. The staff was incredibly polite. I also must add this is the first review I have ever written for anyone, which should be a testament to how great they were, and I wish them much continued success. read more
