My son's glasses became defective within two days. We were told they would be sent back for an exchange, but when we returned, one arm was still defective. What followed was a string of contradictory explanations from Dr. Chao. First, we were told they were sent back and exchanged. Then she said they were completely dismantled and rebuilt in house. Then she claimed it was a new pair. Then she said it was "fixed again" by someone in the back. None of it added up, and it became obvious the glasses were never actually sent back, and the doctor was getting frazzled with her own honesty. During the same visit, the doctor repeatedly went back and forth about whether my son broke the glasses. First, saying they were too small from the start, then implying he broke them within two days. After about 30 minutes of back and forth and accusations, she suddenly ended by saying the glasses were found to be faulty. Really? The flip flopping was unreal. She then offered a "free even exchange" and told us to choose from the adult section. Once we did, she backtracked again and said we would have to pay the price difference. I reminded her that she had offered free glasses from the store, but she just nodded with a fake smile and said it would cost more because they were adult glasses and therefore more expensive. I told her it's not about the money, but it's about principle. It felt misleading and dishonest. In the end, it was clear this place cared more about a few extra dollars than keeping their word. I asked for a refund. It just wasn't worth all the drama. My neighbor had originally recommended this place simply because it is literally two minutes from our houses, and we actually laughed about it together yesterday because she said she felt the exact same vibe. This place feels sketchy and poorly run from the moment you walk in. The "doctor" Chao puts on an overly fake, performative friendliness that feels forced and juvenile, while the front desk staff looks disengaged and unhappy. Not a crack of a smile on their faces. The overall atmosphere is awkward and uncomfortable. Even my 10 year old noticed something was off. Unprofessional, cringeworthy, unreliable, and dishonest. Definitely not returning or recommending this place. It will be embarrassing to refer this place to anyone. read more

I don't live in Katy but my family of five will drive 30 minutes and get all of our eyes examined on the same day. Dr Chao and Dr Yi are knowledgeable, friendly, and easy on the eyes (pun intended!) They'll answer all your questions and not press you to purchase anything that isn't necessary. Be sure to call ahead and they will check your insurance beforehand to verify benefits. read more

I came in to Eye Logic Eyecare with high expectations and I can sincerely say that they met my expectations. Most of the time I really love the doctors but the front staff is not always to that same satisfaction- I found the front staff at Eye Logic to be incredibly helpful and nice. It was nice to find that instant connection with them. I was in town to see my nephew and niece. I have some extra time and my sister who was recently seen at this facility, highly recommended Dr. Chao to check out my eyes. It had been years since I had an eye exam. I walked in without an appointment and was seen right away. I received personal care from Dr. Chao. She was patient and explained everything she did. I truly felt that I received vvip treatment there. They also take my vsp insurance. Bonus! I like how clean the office was. They are also environmentally conscious, which I appreciate. All "paperwork" was done on the laptop. Even signing the hippaa privacy practices act was on a laminated form with a sharpie, scanned, and erased for the next patient. I needed to update my prescription and get new glasses/contact lenses. It was awesome that they were able to see me that same day, since it was my day off. The eye exam was super easy. And Dr. Chao was particularly patient in helping me choose a pair of glasses. They have so much beautiful eyewear to choose from, but we were able to find one in a style that I particularly wanted. And she also gave me several different contact lenses to try, to see which one would feel best. When I told her I had a problem with dry eyes, she also gave me several samples of eye drops to try out. Dr. Chao was extremely helpful and attentive.
