The doctor herself was great. Just annoyed that I paid extra for shipping and they hold my package for a week and give me the run around. I called the week prior and they said they had just received my package and they were going to ship it out the same day. I called the next week and asked where my glasses were and they said they would have their manager call me to update me. I heard nothing back. I call today and they tell me my glasses are there and that they need my address to ship it even though I gave my shipping information prior. So now I'm just heading up there to pick it up myself. Can't tell if the staff is incompetent or just lazy. Why wouldn't you call me for over a week if my glasses are there??? Definitely the last time I'm coming here. read more

I bought a pair a glasses and had to come twice to try to get the prescription correct. The third time they wanted me to pay more to fix them. I asked for a refund. The glasses are not cheap. After waiting several weeks to get his glasses, they snapped in half the third time my son put them on. No joke, the morning after he got them, snapped in half. This, while frustrating, is not the reason for the one star review. They won't back up their product and give us a replacement for this, so we will have to wait several more weeks to get them. Previous glasses have been done by Wal-Mart Vision, who provides a 1 year warranty on glasses and on whom we have never waited more than a few days to get a new pair of glasses. Fighting TSO now to get a copy of my son's prescription so we can get the replacements at Wal-Mart instead. read more

TSO Katy Ranch has been a life saver for me! After going through 2 previous urgent care doctors who said I had conjunctivitis and the meds were not working, TSO was able to get me in to see a doctor immediately and prescribed meds that began working in no time. The staff was very friendly and the doctors were caring, courteous, and showed concern. I've been here multiple times for my yearly check ups but this was the first for a medical concern and I am thankful for the care they provided. I have not been impressed with how they are handling the 'Covid-19' times. Came last week and was told that we needed to book an appointment. They said they were full until next week. We made an appointment and arrived 5 minutes early to the appointment. A 'walk in' group arrived right before us. We were told we had to go back and sit in our car until the 'walk-in' group finished. I agree with making appointments, but this should apply to all so that those who book appointments do not have to sit in their car and hang out during their appointment time. read more

I started off reading some of the reviews and noticed some of the bad ones regarding bad customer service?? So I was a little skeptical reaching out to them for me needing to get my eyes checked for poor vision. When I called I was greeted so sweetly by one of their receptionists named Sandra. She was so kind and friendly! Even though I could immediately tell that they were busy due to the background of other guests walking in and again, being greeted very nicely by other welcoming staff members, Sandra took the time to explain to me the different details that I needed to know thoroughly! So I have NO IDEA what those negative reviews were about the front staff. I don't think those reviews were helpful at all and should be removed. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because the doctor is alright. I've been seeing eye doctors since I was 3 years old and I've never had such a bad experience. The assistants are so rude and don't have a clue as to what they're doing. And they're all up your butt while you're trying to look for glasses. One of them makes a remark that they have to help me or they'll get in trouble. Not "I would love to help you." Extremely unfriendly and act like they hate their job. Simple things like that make a huge difference between good customer service and bad customer service. Then they tell me my glasses will be ready in 5-7 days and they will text and call me when they're in. It had been 11 days and I had not received a call. So I proceed to call up there, the first woman I talk to can't find me in their system. So another lady gets on the phone and talks to me like I'm stupid and says "oh yeah they came in yesterday." And then hung up on me. Needless to say, I love TSO but I will not be returning to this location. I advise you not to either. read more

Went in for a contacts prescription. Everyone was friendly. The wait time was a little long but no biggie. I would recommend this location.

I had an exam and purchased glasses and contacts as a new patient 6 months ago. I'm extremely disappointed in my products and experience. The optometrist was nice but the staff was lacking and seemed unorganized. Customer service was sub par and the wait was long. I wanted great quality glasses and was willing to pay the price. I spent over $500 on lenses and frames. The name brand frames are rickety and feel like they'll break at any moment. They even creak. I paid extra for special scratch and smear proof lenses. I have to clean my glasses about a hundred times a day and they're consistently hazy and have a horrible glare no matter what. It's extremely frustrating. This is the most expensive and the most terrible pair of glasses I've ever purchased. The insult to injury was at checkout when the woman at the front desk offered a 10% discount if I posted a positive online review. I said "sure I'll leave a review later". I was practically held hostage in an uncomfortable situation when she said I had to write it then and there while she supervised in order to receive the discount. It was incredibly awkward to say the least and I'm very poor taste. I feel a little robbed. read more

Every year I have been coming to Dr Amit Shah since this Katy Ranch location opened. I have no idea why I've never written a review because being in the dental field I know how important they are. Dr Shah and his staff have always showed the utmost respect to myself and others who've been in there during the times I've been in there. He is a caring doctor who takes his time and explains everything and i never feel rushed. His equipment top notch and always seems to have the most current technology in eye care. It's obvious he enjoys what he does when you see him get excited to use his equipment. The staff has never made me feel rushed and they allow me to look for my glasses without breathing down my neck. At the same time they are right there when I have a question and are prompt in answering. I only wear glasses and because my vision is extremely compromised I have to wear glasses day and night. My glasses are a statement of who I am and I usually end up spending around $800-$1000 a pair because I get all the special upgrades possible. I read a review and a lady was talking about how cheap the glasses feel and the glare free lenses are always cloudy. I hang on to my glasses and I still have the first pair I bought from Dr Shah. They are not poorly made and are still in good working order. When we purchase the glare free lens we must keep in mind we can only clean them with the cloth that comes with them. If they are cleaned with any other type of material they will indeed be cloudy because they were not cleaned with the proper material. All in all from the front to the back of that practice everyone is kind, caring, courteous and professional which is why I've continued to be a patient and will continue to be a patient until they are gone or I am gone. read more

Not transparent and upfront about the out of pocket charges. Took my son for his annual check up and only after the service I was hit with an $80 out of pocket bill!! The front desk staff were not upfront with this charge, and the staff rudely said- "sorry we forgot to tell you at the beginning, but now that service is done you have to pay!" I mentioned how dissapointed I was to be entrapped with a charge after the service, so they said "we spoke to the doctor and he said we could remove the extra charge if your son takes off the lenses and throws them away and we take away the contact lenses prescription!" I couldn't believe the solution they proposed which just shows how they absolutely don't care for their patients well being. I was so dissaponted to the extent that I cancelled the appointments for my other 2 children! Never stepping foot into that place again and would never recommend anyone else to go there. Dr. Shah has a calm understanding demeanor and he always takes the time to answer my questions. The office staff is pleasant and professional. I especially liked being able to fill out paperwork online and email back and forth with the staff. I have worn contacts since my early teens and started to need reading glasses a few years ago. Recently, it got to where I was wearing reading glasses over my contacts more than half the time at work. At that point, I thought why bother with contacts if I have to wear these glasses all the time anyway. I was ready to give up on contacts if I couldn't find a solution. I did some research and discovered that multi-focal contacts are available but since I have astigmatism there are fewer options out there. Dr. Shah worked with me to find the multi-focal contacts that would best meet my needs. It took several fittings to get it right but my Synergeyes hybrid multi-focal lenses are great and I wouldn't go back. If you are willing to be patient and go through the fitting process you won't be sorry. read more
