I cannot possibly say enough good things about Dr. Pham. Our family is in the medical profession and we also understand the ins and outs of running a medical facility. Speaking as a patient, Dr. Pham is hands down the best eye doctor I have ever seen. Her attention to every detail is unparalleled. She is beyond thorough. She takes all the time that my case needs to be addressed and does follow up visits to assess my progress and tweak the treatment til I achieve the best possible vision for me. I am a tough case because I had RK surgery in the late 80's. Another optometrist I saw recently incorrectly told me I was developing glaucoma in a rushed 15 minute visit! Fortunately I was told to do a follow up with Dr. Pham. She performed countless tests on me and got to the absolute best option to correct my vision. Her office has some state of the art medical equipment as well. Turned out the "developing glaucoma" diagnosis wasn't accurate. Whew! Dr. Pham is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and detailed. She does a great job explaining all the nuances of my particular diagnosis. She took the time to personally show me how insert and take care of my lenses. I have never been rushed during a visit and all my visits have started promptly. She even opened her office, came in and saw me on her day off once! Honestly she is just amazing. I drive 45 minutes each way to see her and she will be my ONLY eye doctor unless she has to send me to a specialist at some point. Katy TX, you guys are SO LUCKY to have her in your neighborhood. Two years ago I was hospitalized because I experienced the worst migraines ever! 10 days straight. Non stop. I remembered clearly calling my childhood best friend, Dr. Sang Pham of Eye Max Vision Source for help. She came down and examined me multiple times. She was the one who demanded more testings to be done. She pretty much put me at the top of her list to make sure I was getting the care I needed. She advocated for me until I received the proper care. After so many specialized dr visits, nothing worked. I finally went to my chiropractor and she was able to managed my migraines with medical massages every other week. This treatment was better than taking oral medication which caused me to sleep and wake up with a headache. Recently, I went in for my annual eye exam with Dr. Sang and she has introduced me to Neurolens. It's a quick eye exam. Apparently my eyes are misaligned and this maybe a huge factor why I am getting migraines. I have been wearing these special glasses that has contoured prism in the lens. Waited for 45 minute and I left on jan. 18, 2019 Submitted online vision history, personal info and insurance. Arrived 5 minutes before 4 Pm appointment. Receptionists said they thought I cancelled five minutes before I got there. I responded to their text message at 2pm that I was confirmed coming for eye exam. Told to fill up all those information again on clipboard. Waited for 45 minutes until 440 pm. Still nothing. I am ok with some waiting but 45 minutes wait seems a bit much for especially for Friday evening. If my appointment is pushed back 1 hr, means I won't get out til closing time. Will look for another eye doc in the area. Hopefully less waiting time read more

I failed my driver's license renewal vision test for the first time in my life this year, so I needed to find a vision center for an exam and glasses. As always, I took the time to read other reviews before trying Dr. Pham at Eye Max Vision Source for the first time. Her consistent five-star review left by others in my opinion was well earned. I went in for my first scheduled appointment Tuesday May 2, 2017 as a new customer. First impressions mean a lot to me. The first thing that impressed me was, although they did not open until 9am; when I got there at 8:50am and pulled on the door...surprise it opened! Don't you just hate it when you go to retail store five or ten minutes before the scheduled opening time and employees are standing around talking, but won't let you in until the very last second? That alone made me feel very welcome going in for the first time. Immaculately clean office, professional staff and the knowledge of her trade displayed by Dr. Pham made me feel I had been cheated in the past by going to other vision care centers. I do not mean money, I mean by the lack of knowledge displayed by the last vision care center I went to, compared to the knowledge and experience displayed by Dr. Pham. The use of high tech state-of-the-art equipment made me feel my eyes and the future of my vision was in great hands! Today was just the exam and the ordering of my lens and frames, so I will update this post after I receive the actual glasses. Good day all, my expereince with Eye Max. I called today to get information regarding my childs last visit (march of this year) what I needed was his PD mesurement, what was explained to me by the first women was thats not given on the report, and im assuming for verifcation she was going to check, so after putting me on hold for 10 minutes or so, another women picked up the call and explained to me, this is the responsiablity of whom ever places the order to take those measurements (huh) I explained to her that Eye Max was where I got mine and my sons glasses, she then proceded to tell me they have the information in the chart, but if I needed that information, I would have to come in with my son and a fee of 50 dollars would be assest, so I asked this queestion so I understoood correctly " You have the information, I aswell as my family has purchased glasses from you as recent as this year, and I have to pay an additional fee from something that was already done." this is the same store that wanted to charge 297 dollars for sports glasses, looking around Ive found them for half the price. My husband & I like this doctor so much I'm rewriting a yelp review with NO one asking just looking at what ppl said by chance & saw it was erased by yelp (bc apparently that's what they do on occasion if u do not use yelp often) but MOST importantly I'm writing with no one asking but bc my husband & I like the doctor (I think there is something to be said for an office that has never asked me once to post a review as I would bet they haven't had to ask anyone.. bet yet here I am). As an ex regional manager for a dental company I recognize exceptional doctors with equally spectacular staff in their own right.. not to mention a lovely office space which is very clean while being very aesthetically pleasing & comfortable. Side note; a bonus being anytime I have to make a visit there they always have water, an assortment of sodas & juices :).. Houston is hot!! But seriously this office for over two years has never disappointed us, not to mention the staff turn over is next to zero (that also says something)! We will stay a family visiting her for as long as she practices ANYWHERE in Houston, our two kids now 2 & 1 will also be patients. My 87 yr old mother was having eye pain and since we were in town visiting relatives, I took her to an urgent care facility. The doctor there called around to find an optometrist that accepted Medicare. Eye Max accepts Medicare and worked my mother in within the hour. The staff there and Dr. Pham were extremely nice and professional. Spent all the time necessary explaining the problem and medications prescribed. This is my post from another site. My son had an appointment at Eye Max Vision Source on Spring Green, this was his first appointment; as the exam concluded he said he was feeling nauseous (I assumed it was due to the lights used during the exam). He has always been sensitive to bright lights. He stood up an said he was going to step outside. Approximately 5 seconds after he left the room we heard a ruckus. My daughter and I jumped up and left the room to find my son on the ground. He was conscious however he was a bit pale, his lips were dry and as I touched his skin I noticed that he was diaphoretic. I took off the pull-over sweater and shirt he had on, asked for water and juice from the optometrist (as she stood by watching) and slowly helped him sit upright; as he drank the fluids I could tell he was beginning to feel better. Once he started to feel better I had to address the lady sitting at the desk that was texting or browsing on her phone while my son was on the floor. I immediately noticed that when we ran out of the room she was in that same position. She never tried to help, she didn't even attempt to alert us to him having a syncopal episode. Her head was bowed looking at her phone showing absolutely no compassion which is very sad considering where she works. Yes it's an eye doctor but its still medical and I would at the very least expect an attempt at some sort of intervention and not be so engrossed and so focused on an electronic device. Zoo animals has shown more compassion than that person did. Now, the optometrist was very thorough in her exam however, she did not seem well versed or prepared to handle a minor emergency, GOD forbid if it was much more serious. So, beware especially if you have health issues. And after the owners pathetic response, this is my response. I understand that you have to post a response that makes your establishment look good to keep people coming. With that being said, you are a liar. I don't know what happened before we came out there, but what I do know is what I witnessed and that was your employee behaving worse than a zoo animal. Also, yes I did ask for the water as well as the juice as well as candy and that's when the optometrist asked if he was diabetic and that's when I asked him if he had eaten, I wasn't concerned with that question of him being diabetic because I knew he wasn't. Oh, here's a tidbit, if he was diabetic he would still need the juice to help bring his glucose up considering his symptoms of cool clammy skin. I understand you must twist the truth to benefit the business as well as exaggerate by saying I yelled when I absolutely did not yell. I have no reason to lie or exaggerate but you do. With that being said...a bit of advice; train your staff better. Also, you attempting to offset the severity is just sad. He didn't just fall (how ignorant of you, which shows your lack of assessment skills and knowledge). My son is ok and that is what's most important to me but, it's also important to warn the public. I suspect you haven't gotten a complaint before regarding your poorly trained employee because this sort of situation has never taken place but let me reiterate, compassion should require no training. Oh, and no I will not put myself in the shoes of someone who thinks it's funny to watch someone no matter the age experience what my son experienced. So, best of luck to you and perhaps you should check that heart of yours. read more

Dr. Pham was awesome. I was having trouble seeing in one eye, it was itchy and irritating, and my symptoms were getting worst. She took her time and assess my eye, explain to me that I have iritis and treated me. My eye has healed completely, even the blurry vision is gone. Thank you Dr. pham! read more

BEWARE! Please read letter sent to owner below! Awful...beware! See below letter sent to Dr. Pham Dear Dr. Pham, The prescription sunglasses you sold me on or about 12/2015 have once again shown they are deficient. As in the previous two incidents the lenses pop out of the frame. This is the third time I bring this matter to your attention in less than 8 months. Consequently, I request that VISION EYE MAX either replace the lenses and frames with new ones, or refund the entirety of the monies spent including out of pocket and associated insurance payments. In mid February, less than two months after receiving the glasses, I returned to VISION EYE MAX missing a lens. The lens was lost when it inadvertently popped out of the frame. Had the lens correctly fit the frame the frame would have secured the lens, however, this was not the case. You vehemently argued that no warranty covered this type of situation. Reluctantly, I paid additional monies to have the new lenses put in. In March, while on vacation, the lenses came out of the frame continually. I took the glasses to an optometrist...they kindly tighten the frame and showed me that the lenses were too thick for the frames. In April I returned to your store with both lenses out of the frame and showed you the they did not fit. Your opinion was that there was nothing wrong with the glasses. Even though you could see the lenses were too thick for the frames. Your attitude was dismaying and frustrating. Your failure to suggest possible solutions, beyond offering to tighten the frames, was disappointing and served to demonstrate the comtemp with which you honor your code as both a doctor and a merchant. Only after I strongly argued with you did you reluctantly contact the frame manufacture, Optix, whom offered to replace the frames. On May 11 2016 you wrote to me as follows... Dear Mr. Rosetti, Attached is your package as well as the tracking number on the signature confirmation slip. Instead of just shaving the lens down to fit into the new frame, the lab went ahead and gave you new lenses; they mentioned the lens were very scratched. I hope we can go our separate ways and end on good terms. When you receive the package, please respond to this email to confirm that you have it. Thank you and best wishes to you. Kind regards, Dr. Pham The above note demonstrates two points. 1. Obviously the sunglasses were defective...otherwise the lab would not shave nor replace the lenses. 2. Your desire to "go our separate ways" is a vile attempt at not guaranteeing your products nor warranting the workmanship. I entrusted and paid you nearly $500.00 and in addition my insurance carrier paid you a similar amount. However, the lenses continue to fall out. This morning the professionals at Memorial Eye Care examined the glasses you sold me. In their considered opinion the curvature of the lenses is off and does not fit the frames. The wedge in the frame is not wide enough to permanently secure the lenses in place. In addition, they showed me that the lenses are not coated for anti-reflection although you charged me for it. Your failure to comply with my request will result in my initiating a claim through the Better Business Bureau, and suing VISION EYE MAX in small claims court. read more

We found Dr. Pham, a fellow UH graduate, through the Memorial Hermann insurance program and switched to her practice, Eye Max, from Grand Vision and, boy, we are so very happy we did! Dr. Pham is enormously knowledgeable & very professional while still being friendly & accessible. Her office is well run & she is hands on in making our visits go smoothly -- no waiting & lots of personal time. She patiently goes over all of our test results in great detail so we can understand our eye health better than we ever have before. I saw Dr. Pham as an out of state emergency. Initially I was not completely happy with my visit and feel I got off to a not so favorable start with her. But I really must say that after a lengthy call from Dr. Pham personally, that I think she is a very caring, concerned and knowledgeable optometrist.
