We have always noticed this but it wasn't that extreme so we persevered. Recently I had allergic reaction to the trial contacts they gave me. I called to have them switch the brand. She gave me the impression she doubted me because my trial contacts were from months ago. As I was explaining to her that the first time I tried them I didn't realize I was allergic. (I thought I caught pink eye) she interrupted me. And then she started insisting I come in for another exam. I told them I don't have time for that just need a different brand. But they persisted in needing me to do another exam even though my prescription is still valid. I asked to speak to someone else or even the Dr herself. But the same woman persisted on the call. And she interrupted me again. Having no flexibility and being rudely interrupted by whoever answered that phone just made them lose 2 clients. Plus my husband was about to start going there too. So they lost 3.

I chose this optometry office because it was right next to my local Costco and it accepted my vision insurance. It's a pretty small office inside with 2 exam rooms. The staff and patients were required to wear masks. I was taken to one of the exam rooms and the staff did sanitize all the equipment for the eye exam in front of me. The optometrist who did my eye exam was professional and helpful. He asked me more than once if I still had any questions for him, which was great. My only complaint was that he touched my eyelids during the eye exam with his bare hands. Mind you, he did sanitize them beforehand. I was hoping he'd wear gloves. Overall, I'm still glad I got my eye exam done here.

After lots of initial testing by others (which I expected and had no problem with), I was escorted to a waiting area before seeing Dr. Wright. However, I never saw him. I saw another doctor who had a scribe. I left without seeing Dr. Wright. I find it strange that when a patient makes an appointment with a specific doctor and waits until there is an opening to see that doctor that the patient is seen by someone else. I am unsure if the doctor I saw is an optometrist or an ophthalmologist. I addition, it is important for people to know that they add a percentage to credit card payments and do not take checks over $100. Fortunately I have a debit card.

I've worn contacts for 30+ years, and this was the worst exam I've ever had:…read more Remote exam: plagued with connection issues, no doctor onsite, and no way to speak with a doctor. Staff barely acknowledged me, never measured my eyes, and didn't check lens fit, etc. Pressure to buy: trial contacts felt dry and vision was blurry, but they still pushed me to purchase. Hostile management: when I called back, the manager (Krystal) told me "you shouldn't even have showed up, you don't need an Rx, you didn't buy anything." She also said I couldn't get a refund because I used insurance. Misleading process: they never told me upfront that I would not be allowed to speak to a doctor during a "remote exam." Wrong prescription: they gave me mismatched strengths (one too high, one too low). My new doctor confirmed my prescription hasn't changed in years and fitted me properly with the daily Acuvue lenses I originally requested days later. Bottom line: This office is focused on sales, not patient care. I strongly recommend going elsewhere. I tried to file a complaint with regional management, but Krystal pretended to be her and intercepted the call. So now I have to file a formal complaint to the Optometry Board. Sigh.

They got me right in to a doctor, and the issue was taken care of right away. I read some negative comments online, but I didn't see evidence of anything bad. The place was clean, bright, and may have been remodeled since a few complained.
