They were flexible with us as we had to reschedule due to weather, and had several complicated moves that were handled very well. As with any move, we took care ourselves to wrap things, communicate our needs and expectations, but I would do that with any mover. Ask questions, clarify and explain what you want. All furniture was wrapped carefully with moving blankets and secured and all breakables were treated with care. I've never seen a team of people work so hard!

But then after putting in our claim on damages with ample proof of damages, and also our honest review, my wife received a call from one of the movers asking us to take down the poor review because they would get in trouble with the owners. They got the move done and did it relatively quick given the difficulty. The price was rather high given the quality of work completed. And given how quick they were to request us to take a poor review down to me deserves an even poorer review. I was a little nervous about moving because this would be my first time using movers. I also needed movers who would move both mine and my fiancés apartment furniture. I was in contact with Mia throughout the entire process and she answered all my questions. It was a 3 man crew who arrived 15 min. earlier than the scheduled arrival window. They were super quick and efficient with moving all my boxes, disassembling my furniture, and wrapping my larger furniture with blankets. They then went to my fiancés apartment and was able to load everything from his place as well and get to our new apartment with all of our stuff. I did lose my step ladder and broom during the move but after calling the next day they were able to find and bring it that day. I was super appreciative of this. I would highly recommend using this company and would use in the future!

I needed help packing the last quarter of my belongings (although I had said I wouldn't need packing help- wishful thinking!). Lawrence devised a plan, helped me pack, and Matthew started getting things out of the apartment for more space. I had requested three men but someone had called out. However, iMovers called another guy who promptly arrived and was able to stay most of the day. They took apart my furniture, reassembled it (much better than me when I had last done it solo!), packed the truck like a winning game of Tetris, and drove it to the new place. I had asked for 8 hrs but it took 10. They never questioned leaving early. They took special care in placing the furniture, too, which was very much appreciated. Additionally, they made moving kind of fun: they are all very personable, laughed a lot, and were very kind to my daughter who fancied herself moving help. Pros ~ Quick, prompt response with quotes. When I did the online quote I received a call from Mic almost immediately. With me being completely frazzled from the move and a major project at work this made my decision easier; I went with Mic's. Speaking of being frazzled, I ended up thinking of a few more questions after I got off the phone with Mic. No problem, as he was easily accessible via email and was just as prompt and courteous with his email response. Punctual Moving Teams The day of the move the moving team showed up early and after surveying the pathways, what I had to put into storage and what was moving to my new place they got right to work. Competitive, Reasonable Pricing I was moving from one studio apartment to another studio apartment, two stops involved. I originally was quoted for a 3-person team but on the day of the move one guy called out sick so it went down to 2-people. Mic promptly applied a discount to my quote and my final price ended up being below the low-range of the quote range I was given. No bait and switch. Cons ~ I guess this really depends on the team that comes out to your place for the move. The guys sent to my apartment were nice, prompt and friendly but not as careful as I would have liked. For example, I'm used to movers wrapping my mattress in plastic before moving it onto the truck. These guys just placed it into their moving truck as is. I didn't realize this until we got to my new apartment and I saw the scuffs, dirt, and leaves my mattress had gathered from being placed up against the wall of the truck bed. Also, even though I had separated which items would go into storage and placed promient multiple highlight-colored post it notes indicating the items that would go into storage, and that I mentioned this upfront and repeated it again as they were moving --- several items still ended up in my new apartment instead of the storage unit. To their credit, however, they were apologetic about the storage item mix up. And when a part to one of my furniture pieces was missing they took time out to search their truck bed to find it. However, they left my apartment door propped open and left it up to me to reconvert everything back to the way it was before. It would've been nice if they had finished up what they started and were mindful of returning things back to the way they were instead of leaving it up to me. Bottom Line: Still worth checking them out, I sense that it really depends on the team, day, etc other factors. The team I had was still better than some other moves I've had in the past (and I've moved A LOT - probably around 30 or so times in my lifetime thus far).

When I called the company for an ETA, I kept getting a later and later ETA. Around 6 PM still with no honest ETA, I spoke with the manager Kate. She said the the office would be closing soon, but that there was an error and I had been scheduled after a long, all-day job. This is despite the fact that when I had the confirmation call with the scheduler, I had reiterated that the 1-5 PM window was what I wanted. Finally at 7:30 PM I got an ETA of arriving to *start* the job at 8 PM! I had spoken with a few managers at this point, who assured me that despite the crew having worked an entire day's long job, there was no cut-off and they would keep working... I am not a labor law expert but that is a terrible way to treat your employees doing demanding physical labor all day long who have not even had dinner. I said no to having an exhausted crew who had worked all day long come to start my job at 8 PM at night. Not only did I not want an exhausted crew to keep working on my behalf, I also could not be the new neighbor moving in at 10 PM (which would have been the case given the distance and load time). Instead, I asked to have the job finished the next morning, which I am thankful they accommodated (the bare minimum here). This was a HUGE headache, I had taken time off of work for this move, and it was wasted waiting all afternoon and evening for an honest ETA. The communication was poor, only one person apologized for this snafu at all and I kept having to call back to get updates (few people called me back when they said they would). Additionally, I had reserved street parking at my new residence (required 4 business days notice to do so) which had expired by the time the movers ever showed up. It only worked out because my new landlord and ALL the other tenants VERY kindly helped me out by moving all their cars. All this headache and I had to ask for a discount, which ended up only being 10 percent. That didn't even cover the wasted reserved parking fee I paid for! The movers themselves were very good at their job, but it doesn't seem like they are treated well. When I told the first crew it was too late to start my move, they should get a rest and dinner, they were so relieved. I had expected so much better from such a highly rated company.
