I had storage here for about 4 months. I was planning on staying longer because there is a great team that works here who communicates effectively. Especially if you don't leave a good review within three days of signing. What changed? Apparently I entered in a "promotional rate," and I needed to pay DOUBLE what my rate normally was after my 4 months in. I told them when I first signed up that I travel extensively and I'm rarely in town. At no point I was informed that my rate would increase this drastically within that short period of time. I got lucky because I was in town and able to check my mail to receive the notice of the increase. Not an email, not a phone call. Paper mail notified me of this increase. Paper mail that I'm only able to check maybe 5 times a year. I was able inform my boss that I would need a full week in town so I could move my stuff to a different storage facility. I was very happy to have them while I could, but I did not appreciate the lack of clarity of the cost structure. If you only need storage for a couple months, it may be worth it. You have to make the decision. read more

Came here with my mom, sister and 1yo niece to get a storage unit for my mom. My sister and her husband currently use them as well for their storage. Upon walking up to the door, a woman told us we needed to wear masks, which was fine, so we all put ours on. I was carrying my niece and then the woman said, "she needs one too" referring to my niece. To which my sister told her, "she's not even 2, she can't wear a mask." And the woman replied with, "I don't care she could carry germs. She's not coming in without one." Seriously? A 1yo can't even keep her bow on and you expect her to keep a mask on and not mess with it or not try and yank it off within the first 10 seconds? Unbelievable. There was no need to be so rude, and I can assure you that she did have a tone about it, and we are definitely taking our business elsewhere. read more

Clean facility, easy to access and great monthly rates. George was great help, showed me all the units I was considering. He was friendly and didn't pressure me or try to up-sale me. Would recommend this place even if you have to drive a couple of extra miles. read more

The place is clean and well lit. The problem is that the office is not staffed on Wednesdays. I needed help accessing my unit on a Wednesday and nobody was there, nor had I received notice that there was a problem with my unit so I was not able to plan accordingly. read more

they leave the front office locked during business hours and require you to call someone to come unlock the door the speak with the workers and that normally takes 10-15 minutes even though they claim on the door they will "hurry". the workers are extremely rude and their lock system is horrible read more

From the very first call received by the manager, Mike, I had a good feeling about this place. Michael's personality is warm, inviting, friendly, and professional. He connects with his customers immediately and organically. I was making a long-distance move from Los Angeles to Atlanta and over the phone until the day of move-in, I received excellent customer service from Mike and other staff. They always remained one step ahead of me and I would receive a call to ensure I was ok every step of the way...even if I dialed their number by accident. That said, once I arrived at the facility, it was just as clean, organized, and safe as I heard in the reviews and from the staff. This means everything to me. Also, there was an issue with my e-receipt from a Extra Space Storage location in Louisiana, who took my information on the way to Atlanta, due to time constraints. There was a typo and I was concerned that I would have issues getting in the unit once I arrived since the facility would be closed after 5:30 pm and all day Sundays. Mike called and gave me complete reassurance that everything is in the system and the unit was opened and ready for me. He was right. Everything went as seamless as possible. Plus, I got a great deal as a new customer. However, though they are a little further out, they still seem to have some of the best prices amongst other locations and their competitors. Finally, not only are they customer-centric, they also do not charge you for the entire month when you decide to move out, like Public Storage, which planned to charge me for a full month for just using one or two days in November. Extra Space Storage will pro-rate the amount of days. Much better. Less greedy. So far, so good! I am as happy as could be!:) I highly recommend this place! read more

Be very careful when trying to rent from this location. The staff is misleading and extremely unprofessional. Make sure to ask questions about the total charge after everything is "included." Also, if you plan on moving out before your due date, be sure to clarify with the staff what happens if your plans change after you have paid upfront for the expected time needed. I had called ahead to pay for 5 days needed to extend my time on one of my units (I had 2 there). Then the closing date changed, so I needed more time. I called back on the 6th day once I found out my closing date had changed, so I could pay "upfront" again for the now needed 7 days. I was told, rudely and unprofessionally by a staffer named Jaime, that I was now considered past due and their "system" would not allow her to make the new arrangement for the 7 days and that they now had to charge me the full amount for the rental, and I would have to wait for a refund at the end of the month, which had now changed from a start date of that 5th day I paid to extend it, which of course makes it longer to get a "pro-rated refund." She then threatened me with collections if I didn't pay that very day. I paid for almost 2 years with a direct withdraw on time every month and the lady had the unprofessionalism and audacity to have an attitude with me like I was a customer who never paid on time or as if I hadn't paid in a month. Also, they have a dumpster in the back of their property where furniture is always piled up in it and around it every time I've been to the location. They do not have a sign prohibiting people from leaving odds and ends there after their move out; hence, why there was furniture piled around it. Plus, for the hefty amount they charge for storage one would think trash removal of some sort would be included. They have a sign that says to ask a manager about leaving items. That's it. No sign prohibiting leaving trash or a few items that may not fit in a truck or aren't wanted anymore. Judging from the sign they do have and from the furniture that is always piled there, an obvious conclusion is that it's ok to leave items there. We moved out on a Sunday and since they don't get there until 9:30 on weekdays they surely aren't there on Sundays, so there was no one to "ask about" leaving items. We leave several items there with the other previously left items, and I get a call from the same Jaime with her same rudeness telling me that I needed to come and get the items I left at the dumpster or I would get fined an $85 clean up fee and whatever ticket amount the city of Kennesaw fined them for having those types of items at the dumpster. I asked for a manager, a new guy who is terrible compared to the manager I rented from almost 2 years ago, and he repeated the same thing his staffer had said and yes in the same rude and unprofessional manner and added that the fine could be up to $1000 from the city that he would pass on to me and the others who left items at the dumpster! I told him an easy fix to this problem would be to put up a sign prohibiting any items being left behind at the dumpster. He had no answer for this common sense except a very juvenile attempt at what he thought was a cute analogy about doing what other people do. Again, another extreme immature and unprofessional handling of a very avoidable situation with very simple signage. Then I was given the clenching caveat and most likely the reason they have no clear signs prohibiting items being left. He informed me again in his sophomoric manner that I would continue being charged for both of my units until the few items I left at the dumpster were removed! This explains him having no reason for not having better signage. They are able to charge longer rental fees until people who most likely have moved out of town and unable to get back in a timely manner to remove several items from a dumpster can get back to remove them. By the way, all of the items I saw and that I left are routinely taken away by curbside waste management companies on a weekly basis in residential settings. Do yourself a favor and keep your belongings somewhere else. Also, when the "staff" isn't there you only have access to one elevator...1 elevator. So, on a Sunday or late on Saturdays or early before they eventually get there and also when it's peak time for people to be there, you have to wait sometimes 10-15 minutes for the elevator to take items down or up! This alone added at least an hour to our move out time and when you are paying people by the hour it's a very expensive problem. I strongly do not recommend this business at least at this location. read more
