Kent's Pack and load made our move so easy! I can't recommend them highly enough. I'm a realtor and I have worked with many moving companies, and they are by far the best I've ever worked with. They do great work, and they don't overcharge you for every little thing like the other companies do. They were on time, and packed up our house very very quickly with 3 guys. They stored everything at their facility for a couple months, and when it was time to move again, they met us at the new house and unloaded it quickly and carefully, helping us set up all of our furniture. They took incredible care of all of our belongings. Nick was very helpful and flexible when I had to change our moving dates a few times. They cancelled on me Emailing me at 9am, when they were suppose to be moving me that day, is the most unprofessional despicable thing a company can do to someone that is selling there house and has to be out. Really puts me extremely out when you have to be out of your house due to selling. Actually more than extremely put out. What a shameful horrible thing that a moving company can do to a person. I paid you 500$ to hold my spot. Why the hell wouldn't you send at least a few people to get something done. I was promised 9 people and 3 trucks in my contract. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! My household items and furniture were thrown in the trucks, arrived broken and late. Lazy day laborers who aren't properly trained, have no accountability, and with each shuffle of their lazy dragging feet show you just how much your business doesn't matter to them. Packers dug through the Waste Management can to collect items that were being disposed of but threw their empty water bottles in my yard and left rolls of tape and their trash in every room of the house. If my bill is not adjusted to reflect their incompetence, I will file a lawsuit for damages. GO ELSEWHERE - MOVE YOURSELF - DON'T USE THEM! read more

Awful experience. Crew boss did poor job of supervising men to ensure my instructions were followed. Used CHEAP tape. Boxes were coming untaped the very next morning. Boxes sagging on bottom, items coming out of the boxes... I got ripped off. Over $500 for 3 hours & they did a terrible job. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had moving. The did not properly staff my move with enough people and it took over 25 hours to move. My items were treated poorly. Having them pack was a terrible idea. They packed fresh pears that were rotted when I unpacked them. The packed trash cans with trash in them from the bathrooms. Many items missing pieces, dinged up or broken. I would highly recommend that you do not use this company. read more

Pack and Load review The boyfriend and I moved from Roswell to Smyrna on June 19th, and I've gotta say, we will never use this service again. Kent's team was able to pack up our 2 bedroom townhouse in an amazing 2.5 hours, 1.5 hours quicker than quoted, so it started off great. When he talked to my boyfriend on June 18th to confirm they were done, there was no mention about having to use more supplies than we were quoted, so we (very mistakenly) thought we were going to wind up saving money. The next morning, we got a text at 8:45 saying that they'd already been there 45 minutes and were packing the truck. Now, in my moving experience (and believe me, it's incredibly vast) loading the already packed boxes shouldn't take as long as packing the boxes did, so when we got the call at 10:30 that they were just finishing loading the boxes, the bs meter went off the charts. Then they tell the boyfriend that "Oh by the way, we had to use more boxes than quoted." Hmm, weird time to mention that too. They got here and unloaded the truck, and by the time they were done unloading, we were a past what was quoted (and that was supposed to include unpacking). We budgeted for a little variance, but not as much as it was turning out to be, so we told them not to unpack. Unpacking these boxes has been FUN, let me tell you. There's the boxes with food and chemicals and cook books all in one. There's the boxes with a rain forest's worth of packing paper for silverware. OH! Or the ones that had oil packed on its sides and upside down (two different boxes, same damn issue), and because of this genius packing, there is now a box worth of kitchen stuff I have to clean oil off of or throw out. Then, my favourite - There's the SWEAT SOAKED PAPER TOWELS THAT THEY THREW IN BETWEEN MY DISHES, and don't even get me started on all the broken stuff. Sadly, most of the items their awful and careless packing destroyed isn't covered by their insurance. How very convenient for them to be able to trash their clients belongings, knowing they're in the clear. Well, thanks for bending us over there, Kent, Nick, whatever. The move estimate was $3500-ish but at end of night I was presented with an invoice for $5100. It was a large move and the crew of 9 men were friendly and efficient and overall care was shown to properly wrapping furniture for transport - until they ran out of the blankets. Overall the damage was minimal in comparison to the volume of boxes/furniture moved, but damage is damage. Fractured table legs, missing glass from a coffee table, missing glass from an antique curio cabinet and damage to the faceboards of wooden filing cabinets. I would not be writing this review if the owner of the company had responded to (3) emails and (5) text messages regarding the damage. But he has elected to totally ignore this issue despite repeated attempts. So I would say customers beware - the final estimate will likely increase and if something is damaged you will likely have no resolution. read more

Had Jerry and Sam move my daughter twice in 3 days. They were very professional and handled her items as though it was their own. The care they showed was second to none. They never hit a wall or door jam, wrapped all items nice and neat, answered every question and was very polite. They did NOT sit around to try to extend the time. They showed concern for our needs and fulfilled/addressed all of our needs. I have used numerous moving companies and never received the care and efficiency that was conducted on both moves. We used Kent's Pack and Load for a local move from a rental house to our new house. Our rental was a 3 bedroom and we used them for the furniture/heavier items part of the move. We had an in-home estimate of 4 hours and on the day of the move it ended up taking a little bit less, which is always nice. Nothing was damaged and the guys took great care of our items. They didn't struggle taking our heavy washer and dryer down and up the stairs (unlike our last movers...lookin' at you Big League Movers). The movers were professional the entire time and didn't just stand around. Highly recommend! read more

I've used this company twice. Once was stellar and the crew was exceptional. I then used them to move from GA and the two movers I got had looked like moving was the last thing they were interested in. Boxes marked fragile/glass were packed under six layers of book boxes. In other words, they can't read, don't care, or both. The unpackers on the other side of the move couldn't believe actual movers had packed the truck. It was a fiasco with nicked and dinged furniture to every piece. Don't trust this company for any kind of consistency. The carelessness of the two we had move was a record-breaker. I voiced my complaint to the owner, who said thanks but no apologies, like it was just another day in the life. Don't let it be a day in your life when you're moving, or you could regret it...find another company. read more

Highly recommend Kent's Pack and Load. When the owner (Nick) shows up to do the job, you know you are working with a company that takes their job very seriously. Nick and his assistant Brian were extremely professional and made a very difficult job seem easy. They were able to dismantle a 400lb antique shuffleboard table located in a basement, move it out of a very tight spot in a basement, carry down a long steep driveway and safety load it into their truck. They then transported it 20 miles to my office, put it back together and set it up. Even helped wipe the table down. Fantastic and friendly. Would use them again without a doubt. The experience was awful, they arrived late..... broke my dresser and my computer cabinet.... made deep gouges in the top of my chifferobe... removed my laundry closet doors, did not place my washer and dryer as they said they would and left the doors off and took the screws to the doors. Then to top it all off, jacked the price over $200 additional dollars AFTER I had already paid what was quoted for the total move. read more

So So Disappointed! This is the 3rd time we have used this service! The first two times the men were completely professional and got the job done quickly and the price was very reasonable. We have sent many people to use this company for their moving needs! This time we only had about 2/3 of the furniture that we had before. When one of the men showed me the contract I questioned the hourly rate and an additional 95$ charge and could not tell me why it had gone up! At this point when you have to be out of a house by a deadline and you and your husband took a day off of work to get done you don't really have a choice. I also knew that since this was our third time using the company that I could call Kent and he would make would make things right! We have at least one more move in our future to our "forever" house and I was sure he wanted to keep us as a customer! Boy was I wrong! He could have cared less! The workers became much slower after I bought their lunch and I'm in the customer service industry so I tipped each guy 20$ (all 3 of them) .. we even had a broken chair that we told them not to worry about because it comes with the territory of moving. So we had less furniture to move, our house was closer and we were charged about 200$ more than the last 2 times ... that's a nominal amount to lose a client over, but a tremendous amount to us. We LOVED the service we received from Kent's! All of our furniture was wrapped securely and treated with the utmost care and respect. There wasn't a single piece that was damaged, not even one of our bedroom suites which is about 100 years old and extremely fragile! I will recommend Kent's to anyone who will listen. I used Kent's Pack and Load for my recent move. I wish I could write a better review but the lack of communication from the owner, the fact the did not bring an item, their tardiness and the fact I saw how the boxes were stacked in the truck with heavy boxes on top of fragile ones, makes me not recommend this company. I booked them for the delivery of my items over a month before the date, confirmed the delivery for the morning a week before and then emailed the owner the night before asking for a 15 minute heads up text. When at 10:45 they had not arrived, I was told "Knocking out this job and heading to storage to get everything loaded u. We should be there around 2:30" How could they book another job ahead of mine when I asked for the morning? Also why not just tell me that? The lack of respect for my time and not communicating with me is unacceptable. Then when they did arrive after 2pm, they did not bring an ottoman. I realized it was missing at the end and it was delivered to me that evening. But the fact that it was not with the original items, makes me wonder what else could be missing and how my items were actually stored. As the guys were loading boxes off the truck I saw a box labeled Heavy Books, sitting on top of a box labeled Fragile and the Heavy box fall. The Fragile box fell too and thankfully nothing was broken, but shouldn't heavy boxes be on the bottom to avoid this? I have left a voicemail for the owner Nicholas and have not received a call back. I booked them because they were a less expensive option but am wishing I had just paid more for a better company that would have a professional owner that would communicate with customers better or at least call me back. They have moved us twice and even arranged some pick ups and storage from three other random locations, to consolidate things for my son. They wrap furniture and cover your new floors.
