Demetrius, Lavanty, and Ronnie were amazing. I don't allow shoes in my house and they respected that with no issues, wore shoe covers, took their shoes off, whatever I needed. They were quick, figured out how to make the tight spaces work, and were super patient the whole time. Nothing got messed up or damaged, not one thing. On top of that, they just had great energy and great personalities. Made the whole move feel easy instead of stressful, and I felt like my stuff was in good hands the entire time. 10 out of 10. I've used Atlanta Home Movers a bunch of times now, and this team is hands down my favorite. I'll definitely be booking with them again. read more

They moved our dining room furniture for us and did a great job. They showed up on time and it went perfectly.

I hired Atlanta Home Movers (AHM) to deliver my new washer and dryer and junk my old units. I am a 60-year-old man, so needed help with everything, and AHM were wonderful. David in the office told me what to expect when I booked and answered all my questions: it all went exactly as he said it would. I paid a simple hourly fee for the labor, and a flat fee for the junk removal of the old units. No hidden costs. Richard was the team lead, and his experience was clear; they arrived on time and they handled the job with speed and assuredness. They quickly took out the old units with a lot of care to my property, then they fully installed the new ones for me. They made all the connections and tested it, so I didn't have to worry. I can't say enough about how well they treated me - they were all true pros every step of the way. AHM handled each detail, and I ALWAYS knew what to expect and what it would cost in time and money. They were transparent with everything and took great care of me. I will happily hire them again whenever I need labor, junk removal, or moving services. read more

Hands down the best moving experience and BEST crew I've worked with! They were the nicest and most professional team I've ever experienced on a move. Shoutout to Jermaine and the 4 D's (Derrick, DJ, Darius and Demetrius)! I had originally reached out to a few different local moving companies and didn't even hear back from half of them or couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. Atlanta Home Movers was so fast to provide a quote and also follow up. Other companies estimated 7-9 hours for my move but these guys hustled the entire time and finished in a fraction of that time. Despite my house having many stairs leading up to it and also inside, they never once complained and had such a positive, fun attitude for the entire day. My husband was traveling so it was just myself and my 10 month old baby - so a day that I was dreading actually turned out to be the smoothest, most stress-free experience ever! I highly recommend moving with them and request any of these guys if you can - as they were just happy and a joy to be around the entire time. Thank you!! read more

These guys were great. I have nothing but great things to say about the team I had helping me move yesterday. They were no nonsense, professional, and very efficient. It was a difficult job, with one large, heavy, complicated bookcase that had to get disassembled, moved and reassembled. They knocked it out like absolute pros. I also had an extra large sofa that almost didn't make it through the door.. they never gave up and ultimately got it inside using top notch problem solving skills. Did my freshly painted wall and ceiling get a little scuffed up? Yes, but something is always going to get a little banged up during a move, that's just reality. A small price to pay for overall excellence, and I'll be able to touch up the paint myself easily enough. Best moving experience I've ever had. These guys are great. 100% recommended. Thanks again! read more

5 star service! It started with the manager, Eric. He was helpful and treated me with care and kindness. The two men who helped me move, Terrell and his partner (my apologies for my lack of memory on his name at the moment), were great. They worked hard and fast, were gentle with my furniture, and did exactly as they promised! They did not drag the clock out like a lot of other movers do, and were done in 2 hours flat! I would recommend them to everyone I know and would definitely use them for future services. Great prices. Great service. Great people. read more

I had the pleasure of having Jermaine, Steve, and Terrell move me into my new place. They arrived on time and made sure my move went smoothly. I thought I was a pro at moving but they took extra steps to make sure I had no damage. Moving can be stressful but they all were funny and extremely outgoing which made my move stress free. I know who to call if I move again. Highly recommend Thanks! read more

From beginning to end, our experience with Atlanta Home Movers was excellent! Eric answered all my questions and arranged everything for my Aunt's move from GA to FL. He was prompt with sending the agreement and paperwork. The two man team of Chris and DJ called with an ETA and came right on time. They handled the boxes and furnitures with care and got the truck loaded pretty quickly. When they were 10 minutes out from the FL storage facility, they called and gave us a heads up. Everything was unloaded within an hour or so. If you're looking for movers to help with a move within or from GA, reach out to Atlanta Home Movers. I highly recommend them! read more

I contacted a few moving companies in the Atlanta area, but what made me stick with Atlanta Home Movers was their efficient and transparent communication. They sent over a quote that included a cost breakdown. I appreciated how easy this process was, so shout out to Eric for helping me out with this. On Moving Day, Nathan was helpful in communicating to me his arrival time and in coming up with a plan to move everything in the quickest, most efficient way. He along with Sean and Chris moved my things safely and promptly, and I was very happy with everything in the end. There were no surprise fees, and my estimate was accurate. Definitely recommend working with Atlanta Home Movers if you're interested! Will for sure reach out to them again if I need some moving services in the future. read more

This was by far the best moving experience I've ever had. I have moved several times over the past 20 years. James and Nathan did an amazing job. It was an out of state move which was over a 3 day event. They were never out of touch with me. These two young men were extremely respectful and kind to me and my family, in fact everyone they encountered had only the best feedback when I spoke to them. A bag of bird seed was left behind and they drove back to my home (30 min drive) just to return it to me. No damages only kind words. It's not often you tell any service company that you love them when they were finished? Of course I tipped them I only wished I could have given twice that amount. I am not one that writes reviews too to many operations ., but I felt AM's deserved a great review! Don't hesitate on this one. I would have awarded them 10 stars if I could have. Thanks again my friends! read more

Pros: The movers were early and worked fast. Cons: The broke our furniture! The broke my daughter's bed, and only took off $70.00. The bed was $275. They broke a dresser's foot, which we only noticed today when we took the plastic wrapping that the movers had put on it. Then, while we went to the apartment to clean and get the rest of our stuff, we found the missing shelves from my daughter's bookcase that were hidden in the closet because the movers broke them off the shelves! Totally awful experience with this company. $70 for the broken furnitures??? Think twice about hiring these movers. If you value your furniture, find another company. Found another broken antique family heirloom serving dish that was very well packed and put in a Rubbermaid that is marked VERY FRAGILE PLEASE BE CAREFUL! This dish was my daughter's great great Grandmother's and was brought over from Ireland! Worst movers ever! read more

I am a Yelp person, I rely on others reviews to hire support when needed. I hired this company to help with my move. I had a great experience! The guys are very reliable, friendly, efficient and understanding. I strongly recommend Jermaine Parker, Demetrius Atwell, and Lavardo Barranco. read more

Outstanding professional movers! There are so many awesome qualities about this company and I'll name a few for anyone in need of a great moving company. The first couple of things that drew me to this company was the fact that a background check is done on all employees, insurance is provided in addition to extra insurance you can select if you need it, and I was able to get an estimate quickly and for the date and time needed. The second thing I appreciated was the continuous communication with reminders as the move date was getting closer. I spoke with a person when I received the estimate and I was assigned a Project Manager who ensured I was kept abreast of everything. I received a pre-packing checklist to assist me with my portion of the move. The crew included Nathan (Project Manager), Warren, and Lavardo. This team was amazing. Nathan gave me a call and provided me with an exact ETA the morning of the move. Our move list had changed from what was initially estimated. No problem as Nathan said. They came in and assessed the updated changes. Nathan took time to go over the insurance, inventory, finalize the start time, and confirm the destination. These guys wrapped all the furniture and glass in moving blankets, taped well, and plastic wrapped. We had a sofa bed to move and they removed the back pillows and wrapped them together and wrapped the entire sofa bed even ensuring the feet were wrapped so not to scratch the wooden feet. Outstanding! The same process was followed for the dresser, night stands, end table, and dining set. The glass tops were well packaged as well. Now, I was given a 4 hour move time. We made sure to stage everything and label everything that was moving to it's new location. The guys had everything package and loaded on the truck in 45 minutes. They had a well organized process and the way they communicated together to get the truck packed was a sight to see. They left my house clean and no dings on the walls during the move. They met us at the location with that same seamless process started as they unloaded the truck and moved the furniture to the new location. They set everything up where we asked and then they began the process of unwrapping everything. A 4 hour move happened in 2 hours with time to spare. Mind you this day, Nov. 21 was a rainy day in the city and thankfully the rain held off for us to move. The guys were such a pleasure and joy to work with. My son was leaving home and moving into his first apartment. The team congratulated him on his upcoming graduation with his Master's and getting his first apartment. They were friendly and we shared some good laughs. Moving can be stressful but this move was everything positive and no stress. They all ensured an awesome experience and they delivered. To Nathan, Warren, and Lavardo, I appreciate you all more than words can say. You all made this a great experience for me and my son. Your positive energy and personable customer service is exceptional. I can't say it enough but Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I'll be singing your praise for days to come. This company got it right with hiring the right staff at a competitive price. read more

They helped us move from Atlanta to Decatur 3 weeks ago. Only one of the three guys was efficient. We were quoted for 5 hours but the job itself took 7 hours. In the end, they just dumped furniture into the apartment without moving them to the right place. My husband had to move the couch with the captain while the other 2 people left early to sit in the truck. They were not trained. I saw one of them was moving boxes one by one by hand without using the trolley. We paid 3 guys but felt like getting the service for 2. ------ update: The owner got in touch with us to apologize. It was one mover's first month on the job. It was hard to hire movers in the busy season. He appreciated our feedback and would improve the service in the future. read more

Great customer service from the moment I reached out for a quote, til the last item was offloaded from their truck. The quality and cost is the best I've ever experienced. My husband and I used Atlanta Home Movers to move us from our condo into our new home and we cannot recommend them enough! They were extremely responsive from the first phone call inquiry, answered every question that I had about the process along the way, and were very reliable on moving day! They showed up on time and worked extremely efficiently! We have used other local moving companies in the past, but this was the best experience moving we have ever had. Our movers were Logan, Jermaine, Demetrius, and Lavardo and each one of them was extremely respectful, courteous, and careful with our belongings. Everything was meticulously wrapped in blankets and plastic wrap and not one item of ours was damaged in the move. They even took some of our items in the truck that we were planning on moving ourselves because we hadn't packed them in boxes yet. Overall, this was the best moving experience we have ever had and cant recommend Atlanta Home Movers enough. read more

Multiple friends, one of whom has moved around Atlanta several times, recommended Atlanta Home Movers to us. Atlanta Home Movers also has a perfect five-star rating on Yelp (at the time of writing this review). Seven weeks before our move date, my fiancee filled out the online estimate form on Atlanta Home Movers' website. About 12 hours later, she received an email from Operations Manager/Estimator Christopher that confirmed availability on our requested move date. This email also contained service and payment information. We only needed to move a handful of furniture items (a mattress, box spring, small desk, three lamps, a small set of drawers) and seven boxes; a relatively light and simple job. The quote was $129/hour for two movers and a 17-foot box truck with equipment. No deposit required. My fiancee responded to Christopher and told him she wanted to proceed with booking movers for that date and to let her know if he needed anything else. Christopher responded the same day and asked for additional information to complete our reservation. Then a communication breakdown occurred. My fiancee mistakenly thought we were good to go, when in fact, we were not. The week of the move, my fiancee called Christopher and left him a voicemail to confirm the move was still happening (in her mind, she thought the booking had been confirmed weeks ago). Christopher responded and said their next availability was four days after our requested move date. This, of course, was unfortunate because my fiancee had to be completely moved out of her apartment by then (lease expiration). Christopher apologized for any miscommunication and said all information must be received to finalize a reservation. If information is not received, a reservation is released and made available to others. My fiancee was at fault for not following up with Christopher, but also I think Christopher should have followed up with my fiancee to make sure she still wanted to proceed with the move on our requested date before releasing the reservation to others. A simple reminder or follow-up would have been nice. It would have prevented this. My fiancee was left in tears because a move she thought she had scheduled almost two months ago was actually not scheduled at all. I think Christopher heard the sadness in her voice and offered to call the owner(s) of competitor Georgia Home Movers to see if they could make a special exception and squeeze us in. They did! So thank you very much to Christopher for that. Georgia Home Movers was actually a bit cheaper too, quoting us $100/hour for two men and a truck. However, unlike Atlanta Home Movers, Georgia Home Movers required a $100 deposit. In the end, the actual move went smoothly on the date we requested, but not after a bit of heartbreak for my fiancee. Thanks again to Christopher at Atlanta Home Movers for helping us out and making things right. He even called my fiancee after we had booked with Georgia Home Movers to make sure she was okay. read more

My wife and I sold our house quickly and needed an in town move quickly. I called a few references from friends, but no one was available. I saw the great Yelp reviews for AHM and gave them a call. They were very responsive and called back immediately. I described what was needed. I was provided a quote with an hourly rate. It was very fair. Josh and team arrived on time. The team worked very quickly. There was no rest time and the guys actually ran at times. There was no loafing around. I didn't demand anything like what I saw, but really spoke volumes for hourly workers. The team brought to my attention any damages to furniture before it was moved. They were packed up in less than 3 hours and unloaded in less than 2. The price was less than the estimate. We were very pleased and will use AHM again on our next move. read more

Originally I was going to leave a 3.5 review. Two issues: 1- I paid for 3 movers but 1 was 40 minutes late and no discount was provided. 2- They only had 4 furniture blankets, so furniture got scratched. Then several days after the move I came back to the old place and realized that they left 3 boxes in the elevator. The boxes were open and half empty. I don't know if one of the movers went through the boxes or someone else since they were left unattended for several days but this kind of service is simply not acceptable. Now I'll have to go through everything trying to figure out what is missing. Definitely will not use this company again. read more

I spoke with about 6 moving companies, and Atlanta Home Movers had the best rate and the best customer experience. I had never heard of them before, and used them because Yelpers liked them. Before the move, Chris was very responsive and answered all my questions over the phone and through email. When Moving Day arrived, I was nervous at first because I am always nervous during moves. I'm not really into random chit-chat when guys are moving my furniture - I'm more interested in making sure they wrap the furniture and don't damage my walls. Too often in the past I have experienced movers who just want to chat/run up the clock while they casually move and bang my furniture on its way to the truck. Also, I have gotten sick of movers constantly asking me if I'm going to give them a tip. HOWEVER, Atlanta Home Movers was a completely different experience. Josh and DJ arrived during the allotted time, and even called me 30 minutes before to let me know they were on the way. They moved my furniture quickly and without stopping to constantly chat. They were very courteous and answered any questions I had and followed the few directions I gave them. They were incredibly helpful and understanding, even when a dresser couldn't go upstairs (they tried to make it work for about 20 minutes) and then took the dresser to the garage without any complaint at all. I was going to tip them anyhow (surprisingly they never once mentioned they wanted a tip), but doubled what I was going to give them because they were so professional and simply THE BEST. I hope I never have to move again, but if I do, I'm hiring Atlanta Home Movers. A+ Work. Thank you Josh and DJ! read more

Was going to use them, until the day of the move came and then it was one thing after another. Flat tire, doing ANOTHER JOB while i was waiting for them to show up. Etc etc. Can't speak to their quality of work but can vouch they were terrible at actually showing up. Super disappointed and now I have to push my move back and find another company. UPDATE- as y'all can see, the "owner" is super condescending. There would be absolutely no reason for me to make up a fake review. You are a liar and no good will come to you. read more

I started with a less qualified mover who didn't get the job done and left me in a pinch. Atlanta Home Movers came and saved the day! Thank you Atlanta Movers for saving the day!! I would definitely use them again!! read more

I want to give them a 3 or 3.5 but will give a 4 because they have a few really good employees who work hard and go the extra mile and they will get things done on time for sure. I would say as far the staff they're 50/50: they have some unprofessional movers but some really good young employees; I would recommend them but would say to make sure you don't let them do any packing for you. As far as moving companies I would say they're slightly above average. I might use them if I had to again but I would do all my own packing and supervise them every step of the way, watching every second. A four might seem high but when it comes to moving companies I find the standard is so low that it would be unfair to rate them lower cause I've seen some pretty bad movers that these guys don't even come close. Also some, not all, were super loud so be prepared to over hear loud conversations of "locker room talk rated R" and leaving half empty bottles of energy drinks strewn all over the place. So you don't want young kids around when they're working. Some staff member asked for stuff which was super weird. They didn't do too much damage to the house on moving. Some scratches on the floor. But they left a ton of trash in the old house and promised to pick up but didn't do it even after following up and promising to do it again more than once. The furniture on the other hand was damaged pretty bad; broken bed, big scratches on a very expensive wall library, lost most pieces of an adjustable bed frame rendering it useless, lost most pieces of a reclining sectional and misplaced a bunch of stuff - if you pay for their packing be sure to supervise them at all times literally watch everything they do or stuff will be hard to find. read more

I was really happy with my recent Atlanta Home Movers experience on my interstate move from Atlanta, GA to Harrisburg, PA. They delivered a painless process from packing up to transport to unpacking. Nathan and Chaz supported me the entire trip with Sergie and Jeremiah helping to pack up in Atlanta. They all worked hard to get my city apartment quickly packed up and with a gentle touch. I was greatly comforted I had the same truck and crew (Nathan and Chaz) from point A to point B. I was also pleased to receive my stuff the next day and with periodic updates from Nathan. In the end, the trip was quick with no damage and everything accounted for. My invoice amount never changed after my initial quote with an initial 20% deposit then final payment after the delivery of goods.
