It has been over 40 minutes of trying to access the store, and now the movers are waiting (and I'm paying them by the hour). I had to send the movers to a different drop off point so that I didn't have to pay them to wait for someone at CubeSmart to show up. This made an already stressful move even more stressful.

In five years, it went up from $88 to $99/month not including insurance, which you don't need to purchase if it's covered on your existing insurance. The rentals are month to month. Overall, I highly recommend this location if you're looking for a more affordable option in a convenient location. It's right by 495, Lee Highway, and Route 50 so it's an easy drive from almost anywhere.

We made the reservation and showed up with very low expectations. It was a busy Friday afternoon. And we had a great experience from start to finish. The lady working the front desk was very nice and did a good job juggling 3 different customers who all got there about the same time. They ask you to check in using a QR code and your phone. It took a few minutes to complete- like any new automated process the first time you use it. Which explains why the lady was juggling 3 customers at the same time. She did a good job juggling to help all 3 of us and get us in our vehicles. Our van was clean and in good condition. The return was efficient. Because I wanted a receipt before leaving, I ended up dealing with two other employees. Both were pleasant and helpful. Did the QR code routine again to check out and get a receipt. This involved entering the odometer miles, the gas tank level, and taking I lost count but I think it was 6 pictures of the vehicle. Took a few minutes. But the peace of mind in having a final receipt was worth it. Just wanted to share a recent, positive experience.

The doors do not open easily. There's no lighting above the storage, so it's completely dark in the storage space. Definitely not worth it for anyone who needs to come and go and get things when they need them. Also, when I checked in, I had all the intentions of giving this place a good review, but that went out the window when I came back the second and third time and the temperature in the building was still not at least 65 or 70. You can't work and move things around without your hands freezing. I will be working to find another storage facility.

Its a fine lock... but can only be used on their doors. You have to buy their insurance, there is no other option. And then THE BIGGEST ISSUE, the gate locks at 9:00pm and thats it. If you and your car, you and your Uhaul or other rental truck are inside... then you're staying in for the entire night, at 6:00 am the gates can be opened and you can get out. They do make it clear that they close at 9:00pm and that's all well and good. I figure you probably can't get IN to the facility past nine, and there's probably someone to warn every one that they need to exit by 9:00pm. So when no one warned me at any point in the night that closing time was approaching, I assumed that this meant, "Sweet, I can unload my truck in an organized and sensible manner rather than rushing around to be out by 9:00." So again, no staff, no warning, nothing as 9:00 pm approached. So, at 11:00ish I'm finally ready to leave and my gate code wont work. I tried bluetoothing it from the app, I tried typing my code in everywhere... myself and one other couple and their Uhaul were all locked in for the night. This is simply how they run the business. I missed the final walk through with my landlord because of this insane policy held by Public Storage. I ended up calling the police who showed up with 7 officers in four different police cars, and a full fire truck with 4 fire fighters. All these responders had to show up to this Public Facility in the middle of the night because this place chooses to just lock you in for the night with no warning anywhere. So eventually after 40 minutes or so, one of the firefighters had a code to unlock the gate and I was able to get out. I don't know what happened with the other couple who was still stuck in there. So on top of this insanity, I got a couple warning emails from the staff at this location, warning me that "Hey, the gates close at 9:00, our convenient hours should give you more than enough time to get your loading in and out done in a timely manner." Absolutely tonedeaf response, I will never ever give this place my business again. They got all the money they're going to get out of me. This is a business to ABSOLUTELY AVOID if you're looking for a storage solution short term or temporary. I would also say avoid this place if Sundays are a time that you see yourself visiting the facility as they did not have enough bay doors to serve all the tenants on my visit when I was moving my things OUT of this hell hole. I was able to get a hand truck but not every visitor was this lucky at the time of my visit. I'm glad to be out of there and I will NOT be going back. Absolutely god awful experience and this is one bridge I'm happy to burn as I would rather burn my items on the street than go through the experience of renting from Public Storage again.

So we had to wait a bit. We sat in the rented Uhaul waiting for about ten minutes. When we went back into the store front the lady at the desk proceeded to show us the unit that was available. As we went through the side door and proceeded to walk, with her leading the way, she suddenly started putting down the company because, apparently yesterday was the first day the company was switching to "no cash transactions". She was very angry and threw her hands up and said mean things about the company. Neither of us said I'd a word during her rant. But, then she looked at me and realized that I was wearing a mask. OMG!! She lost it. "What you got that mask on for", she asked. I replied, "to protect myself". Well she didn't like that answer and she started ranting on in a very aggressive and threatening manner about what my beliefs were. She said that I believe all the those bitches and MF's in the White House. She went on to call the names of, Nancy Palosi and president Biden and referred to all those white devils in congress feed us all the lies about Covid. She went on to exclaim how stupid I was for believing that shit. Those are her words not mine. She literally attacked me for m beliefs. She ranted with such aggressiveness that both of us were speechless. She used so much foul language. It was beyond unprofessional. It was worthy of a street fight. She did not stop with the insults until she opened the unit to show us what it looked like. Needless to say we did not rent a unit there. We went to another company all together. I would never recommend anyone going there. In fact, I can't imagine why she would have a position dealing with the public period. It was a very horrible experience. I'll definitely be spreading the word to all that will listen.

I worked with a different moving company 2 years ago that left me scarred for life with how rude and unprofessional they were. I ended up having to finish the job myself (moving my giant couch up four flights of stairs), so when I knew I was moving again, I did my due diligence and sought out a few quotes. Another company quoted me almost $800 and required a 3 hour minimum for the job!! $800 seemed steep and I knew the job wouldn't take that long... Along came Bookstore Movers who quoted me a reasonable $470 minimum for two hours of work and a maximum of $680 for 3.5 hours of work (price breakdown: $140 per hour with 2 hour min. plus a $190 truck fee). I received a quote within a few hours of requesting it. There was no deposit required and the date was booked. I received detailed emails leading up to the move about FAQs, tips for a seamless move, and the names of my crew including contact info for the crew lead. Abdul (crew lead), Niiwayo "Y.O", and Milly were SO fast and friendly. They wrapped every single item with care in drop cloths and got to moving immediately. Despite the 90 degree heat and a total of five flights of stairs, the job was finished in 2 hours. I was SO impressed. I was so traumatized by my last move that I literally had to walk away while they moved the couch in but before I knew it, I got a text from my boyfriend telling me they had fit it through the door and our living room was all set up. I was so relieved and happy to work with them. If and when we move again, (hopefully not anytime soon, lol), I will 100% be contacting Bookstore Movers... and you should too!

After they left I realized they did not pack anything in the medicine cabinet and forgot to pack an entire kitchen cabinet and drawer. They took my formal shoes (beaded and glitter) out of their shoe boxes and dumped them in the bottom of a big box underneath my sneakers and boots! When I went back to clean my apartment I found the pile of shoe boxes they left in a closet. They took dirty clothes out of a laundry basket and packed them with clean clothes. They put ceramic items in a box with other random stuff without wrapping it up. AND, they removed the cords to my TVs and speakers and I haven't found them yet, nearly a week later. I contacted the company to complain and did not recieve a response., I have a marble end table and the top somehow came unglued. One of the crew knew it happened but didn't mention it until I asked why the top wasn't attached. They were just like, oh well. Glue it back.., UPDATE: they did not respond to my emails until I posted this review. I have not heard back from them about this 'investigation.' I have photos of the items they forgot to pack and the pile of shoeboxes left behind hidden in a closet, etc. Not sure how they are 'investigating' on their end.
