My rate went up $50+ dollars after I was told I wouldn't have an increase after paying $750. I fell on hard times and they were going to auction my unit. I was lied to by both the female employees there. Playing the blame game. Nothing could be done supposedly. I felt like it was something personal for some reason. I just paid the $750 extortion and I'll be moving my stuff out of there this week. It went from $153-$177-$227 insane man. The lies and games I'd rather not deal with this place. I couldn't put it off any longer. Ever since I moved into my tiny studio apartment, I have been storing my stuff at my mom's house (or at friends' houses - which I don't recommend but sometimes there's little choice when it comes to free storage). After a pretty devastating outing with my mother a couple weeks ago, I decided it is time to take my stuff somewhere else, so she can stop holding it against me that I need help occasionally. I'm really quite upset about the situation, but anyway... I was so relieved to find a storage unit in my neighborhood, and that I could afford it. I'm looking forward to moving my stuff and feeling more independent. It's probably going to be a big, dramatic thing with my mom, so it was nice that the process of renting the unit was so painless and easy. I had no idea what I was doing, but the salesperson was more than willingbto explain everything and even let me see the 5x10 unit so I could make sure it was big enough to fit my entertainment unit and some other stuff that I'm not ready to part with yet. This is the first review I've written. Usually walk away. I am impressed with how clean and safe this facility being staffed by only one person. (Melanie) She is the reason I've stayed there under my circumstances. I have been in my space 10X30 space since opening...Their primary website advertises today's price for my space of $199 which has increase to $350+ currently. READ THE FINE PRINT!!!!!! The fine print tells you that this is subject to change, and believe them. That in approx 2 months you will get your first in a series of price increases. This Company has an open door policy, that is quickly shut in your FACE!... Their business practice's are underhanded and takes advantage of customers need for Extra Storage ( rightly named) If you are looking for TWO Months of storage they are great. Melanie was really a pleasure. She was super nice and informative. My stuff was kept dry, clean and safe. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars was because of the price increased after just a few months. I originally had an $88 per month online deal and without knowing, a few months later it went up to over $140! All I had to do was call Melanie and she was able to help me out a bit, but other than that it was a pleasant experience. read more
