They will tell you straight if things need to be fixed or not, or can be delayed or repaired instead of replaced. Works are always guaranteed and service is outstanding. They have a very long list of loyal clients so be patient. Easy to book an appointment..simply call and find a time that works. They list down your plate and remember your history knows you by name. I bought a used service vehicle from a government auction in as-is condition. These types of auctions do not provide you with the opportunity to inspect the vehicle before bidding. The truck ran fine for the time being, but I wanted to change the oil and find out what repairs might be necessary to ensure it would reliably operate in the long-term. My friend recommended this shop to me as he claimed to have had positive experiences with them previously. I called the number on their website and explained my predicament to an agent, who took down my info and booked me into a time slot-- or at least that's what they told me. When I arrived, the representative at the counter had no record of my appointment. He desperately flipped through a paper calendar book covered from page to page in handwritten scrawls, and allegedly couldn't find me in it. The CSR asked if there was a possibility I might have made an appointment with the shop next door. No, there wasn't. I'll be the first to admit that I haven't mastered the art of "adulting" at the age of 25 (and possibly never will), but Googling a business name and dialing the phone number on their web page is well within my adult baby capabilities. After a lengthy consultation with his colleagues in the back, the representative revealed that he might have an understanding of how the mysterious scheduling mishap occurred (without any further explanation). He checked the OBD-2 fault codes on my vehicle with a scan tool and told me that there were many things wrong with it and that I should have inspected it before purchasing, even though I made it clear that was not a possibility from the beginning. He told me the codes were related to the computerized ABS control module, which they weren't qualified to repair. He wasn't sure what shop might have that capability, but was confidant that when I found one, the work would be "expensive". They didn't even bother with the oil change and mechanical inspection. Behind the counter, there was a desktop computer running Windows XP, which appeared to have a service invoice application open. I couldn't tell it it was connected to the internet, but Windows XP has been out of support for 7 years. If the device was online, any personal information handled by it could be placed at risk as it no longer receives security updates. read more

There was a noise came from the rear side Wehen I drive my car. I was worring for this for few days and one of my friends recommend that Express Lube is very reasonable, you go to them. I called them and they asked me to bring the car. The manager and rest of the team worked Very hard to find it spending their valuble time to rectify the noise. Finally found that its comming from the unlocked rear seat. And the same time fixed the bumper holder which was hanging too. Unbelievable thing is they didnt charge for this having said to charge something for their valuble time. I am so happy to find somebody reliable to service/repair my car. Amazing !!!!!!!!!!. The only place I come to to get my car serviced. The staff are very friendly. The mechanics are very knowledgable. And they have the mentality of, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Unlike some other places, like dealerships, where they based it on a schedule. Even if the parts doesn't need to be fixed or replaced, they'll advice or recommend you to. read more

I needed a flat repair and whet to Kal Tire .. leave your car for 6 hours .. are you nuts .. These guys had my flat done in less than 15 minutes and did it well. An honest business establishment that offers such an amazing customer service I took my car in thinking that my steering system or timing belt needs to be repaired also for a oil/filter change. Come to find out I was just low on power steering fluid which they topped off for me for FREE and gave me a few bucks off for the oil/filter change which they didn't need to but was very generous of them. The owner of the shop is very polite. He offered to take my car for a spin to double check the steering. Also right after around the block he went to feel around and check my tires to see if they're still good. Such an honest place. It took me months to find a legit mechanic shop in Vancouver without giving me BS that this needs to be done to my car which I know it didn't need and I see why the reason Express Lube and Tube has been around for 20+ years Mahalo! More car shops should operate like these guys. Honest and not about the money. I come here for ALL my oil and filter changes. I have been here whenever I had an issue with my van. Today I came in because I had issue with my brakes which would vibrate the whole car when I was applying them. And the fellow here said that there's no need to have them serviced or replaced just yet. He could've easily had me spend $400-$500 for new brake pads and rotors but NO they were genuine and honest. I would trust no one else to my vehicle's needs. They are trustworthy and do business with integrity. You need to maintain your vehicle? These guys are just terrific. We'd been going to one of the big service chains (I won't mention them by name--but remember Jerry Lewis?) and how they were always telling us we needed extra stuff that turned out to be optional. (We, too, subsequently saw the news reports about how they're actually told to push for extra sales whether they're needed or not. It's beyond me how they manage to stay in business!) One of my wife's friends happened to mention Express L&T. Though it's a franchise, it was the first time we'd heard of it, and I took my car there, I was pleased to find it felt more like a small, independent garage. The staff (who are mostly from the Philippines, I believe) were very friendly. They serviced my car quickly and their price was quite reasonable. We haven't been back to the big, slick guys since. I realize that by posting a glowing review like this, I may end up having to wait a bit longer for my own service there! I think they deserve it though. If you're looking for a good, honest, friendly place, you can't do much better, IMHO. read more

I called Express Lube & Tune last minute regarding my flat tire and they squeezed me in right away! Such friendly and prompt service. They were super informative and let me know exactly what was wrong with my tire. I was a bit scared that they'll try to rip me off since I'm a young women who doesn't know a thing about cars. They are a honest business and will not try to up sell you on unnecessary items. I will definitely return for all my future car troubles! read more

I've never been trusting of oil & lube shops, they always seem to up-sell services and I usually drive out feeling like I spent too much on things I don't necessarily need. I was not up-sold on anything here. The guys were friendly and straightforward. I thought the price was a bit high (I got synthetic oil) and I asked them about the cost. I guess they use a higher quality synthetic oil, but the guy told me next time I can bring my own oil & filter and they will only charge labour, which is around $25. 10/10 will go back again. read more

If there was a zero, that would of been indicated. This was absolutely the worst oil change experience I have ever received. I was told my car was covered in mouse poop. NOT true. I expressly asked for all fluids to be checked and filled. NOT DONE. I was told my battery needed 'service' at the estimated cost of $200.00. It had some corrosion on it which was easily cleaned up with baking soda. Besides, I could buy a new battery for less than $200.00. Do they think I am a fool. Stupid woman. We'll get her.
