I go there at 1:00 pm the next day, am told the wrong filter arrived, and they wouldn't be able to get the correct one until Tuesday because of long weekend. 5pm the same day get a call saying the filter came in (which means they lied to me about receiving the wrong filter). Just before they about to start, he says it's going to be $171 plus tax! That's nearly $200 for an oil change and $32 more than I was told the day before. Guy says he doesn't know who I talked to the day before and that's the price.

As a result, the boss deceived me to change the brake oil and clean the engine. It cost $450. The employees in the store feel that it is incredible to spend so much money. It is definitely a shop that ste**s money. When I reached out to Midas head office, instead of addressing the problem and reaching out to me, they had the very location I complained about call me. The manager called me and the conversation was extremely frustrating -- he denied responsibility, took no accountability, and was unprofessional and dismissive throughout. I even have an 8-minute recording of the call, including a highlight where he responds to my concerns with "yeah, whatever." So now I've paid Midas for the original service and paid Mazda to repair their negligence, while being treated poorly by both the location and head office. This experience was costly, unfair, and incredibly unprofessional. I would strongly caution anyone against trusting this shop with their vehicle. You might end up paying a lot more than you expect!

To my pleasant surprise, after a few rings, a gentleman answered and after telling him my problem, he asked me to see him at 3:30pm! He did say that they are very busy but still willing to take a look see for me, naturally, I expressed my appreciation! On arrival, I was a bit taken with how busy this little shop is, but only after standing at the counter for about 5 mins. I was acknowledged by Jackson (the gentleman on the phone), he immediately took my car in and asked us to come back in about an hour. Seeing how friendly everyone is when they come in, I know that all are regulars, which is a good sign already! Jackson, then proceeded to check my car and his advice was to use another power outlet instead since the car's USB may not have enough voltage for my multi-headed charger. He also checked all the fuses and they all turned out fine. With mystery solved, I am now happy to use the other power outlet. Jackson was so nice that he only changed me a minimum fee, which is very generous of him to do so!
