We drove from Seattle for a day and needed an oil change. Alan found a oil leak on my VW Tiguan and he did an amazing job to clean it up and to let us know what was going on and the reason why there was a leak. I appreciate him being honest. I had a very pleasant experience here when I had come to service my car. My car was due for a synthetic oil replacement and it costed $105+ tax including a full inspection. The process took about 15-20 and I waited in a lobby while it happened. It was quick. The owner did suggest me to change the cabin filter at an extra cost. I don't recommend doing that through someone else. It's a simple Amazon - DIY thing that will cost less than $15. read more

Went in for an oil change. I clearly instructed "oil change only". I had filled up my windshield washer fluid before going there. I saw the guy try and add some..or pretend to add some. They still charged me for it. And he tried to upsell me a rad flush and air filter. When I asked them to remove the washer fluid charges, the attendant guy became argumentative. He asked they other guy doing the washer fluid if he added any to which he said NO. The attendant then went on about how I'm supposed to tell them before hand not to touch the washer fluid...and how he does thousands of cars and he doesn't have time to ask every customer. He got all angry he had to reprint my invoice less the washer fluid charges. Turns out they also charged me for checking my tires too. Lesson learned never to return to this place. read more

My sweet old Honda 1998 CRV suddenly lost power during idle (in traffic!). I was stuck in North Van so I (foolishly) towed my vehicle to Canadian Tire. A total disaster, after two days in their shop they told me it was fixed and ready so I picked it up and a couple hours later (while idling at a stop light) the same thing happened, my Honda lost power during idle. I (wisely) towed my car to Allan and his team at Jiffy on Kingsway. Allan pinpointed the actual issue (after a lame $225 "diagnostic" at Canadian Tire) and had my sweet old Honda running smoothly once again! I love this place! read more

Called for a quote before I had the oil changed, and was charged more than the quote. They also added 3 ounces of washer fluid for the same price I could buy a 4 litre container. I never asked them to top up my window washer fluid. I won't use them again, or recommend them. They are unethical and underhanded. Get your vehicle serviced elsewhere. read more

These guys are all friendly and professional. I have been here multiple times over the years with a couple of different cars. I have tried other places, but Jiffy always have the most competitive prices I find. I missed a couple of oil changes, so I asked for an engine flush, it was about $20 cheaper than other places that I asked for quotes. They also had to replace one of the air filters, they said there was another one inside the car and told me about the price before they would do anything. They're always checking with me which is what they should be doing at any mechanic shop. My lil SUV is running a lot smoother now, just from the little bit of maintenance. Oh and all of this only took 20 minutes. In the waiting room they have magazines, complimentary, coffee maker, tea, & flavoured syrups. I spent $125 pre-tax on oil change (not synthetic), oil filter, air filter, premium engine flush, topped up rad & washer fluids, they did an overall inspection and they even vacuumed the interior. read more

A huge waste of time and energy. Arrived at this place (which is connected to Jiffy Lube on Kingsway). Manager is Alan, is also the same manager of Kingsway Jiffy Lube (see review for further explanation). Had I known 'Signature Tire Shop' was connected to Jiffy Lube on Kingsway, I would not have come here. Was given terrible customer service. Rudely accused of not telling Alan the tires were staggered and told to go somewhere else by the manager Alan. I explained that I am not a professional in tires and have no knowledge. Accused me of not informing him and said he didn't have time to waste trying to see if it will fit when I explained that they were the right tires for the rim. Alan, the manager, was extremely rude and said his time is more valuable than my time...Is this appropriate at any time? Was shocked to hear this and left as I knew this man had issues that was beyond reasoning. Took it to 1010 Tires and had no issues and installed it within 45 minutes or less. Alan gave only excuses for not wanting to install the tires on my rims meanwhile scheduling me in. I showed up as arranged and was treated very poorly by this manager who seemed to have not liked his job and wanted to power trip and show the improperly trained youths working at this location who was in charge out of spite rather than good reason and service. Claimed to be a professional tire shop, but because of poorly trained technicians, thus along with other suspected discrimination, refused to do a simple job that any tire shop could easily do. Alan, the manager was belligerent and unprofessional. Don't waste your time with this place or you will most likely end up frustrated and possibly have mechanical catastrophic failure due to improperly trained staff and manager. read more

I had to get a tire replaced because i had a flat. I called 6 places before deciding what to do... Now let me tell you, I know almost nothing about cars and the 6 people I called told me I would have to spend at least $500 for two tires and installation fee. One even quoted me $1000??? On my last hope I called jiffy lube (my regular go to oil place) told me they didn't have my particular size of tire in stock and would have to wait later on. But lucky me, they called me back 2 mins later saying they could get the tire in an hour and fit me in right then and there. The whole process took about an hour!! To wait for the tires to arrive and have it installed! PLUS they didn't charged me installation fee, they only charged me for the two tires so I only paid 280 including tax! Total bait and switch. I called about an oil and filter change for my 2019 BMW 530i. They told me on the phone that it would be $130 to $140 for the European synthetic oils. I show up the next day and the guy tells me it is $244. This is the exact same price as the dealer - The BMW Store. Do yourself a favor and just go to the dealer. read more

After calling several different places for a quote on an oil change, I decided to give jiffy lube a try. They were very informative on the phone and I was able to get in without an appointment. I pulled in and only had to wait a few minutes. I sat in the waiting area where there was water, coffee and wifi available. The waiting area is quite small but compared to those where you have to sit and wait in your car, it wasn't too bad. They have several different packages for oil changes ranging from $55 - 100 in which an employee recommended the middle one ($65). They mentioned I needed a filter change ($30) which considering dealership would charge $140 for just an oil change service, it was not a bad deal. The service was quick and I was able to redeem $10 off for checking in on yelp, my total was $105. The customer service was really good and will be coming back for my next oil change. read more

I went here for a routine oil change for my 2016 car with ~110,000km. I get conventional and have been. They said that they wouldn't touch my car if they didn't put in synthetic oil. They were unprofessional, dismissive, and rude when I asked to put in conventional instead. They claimed they could not put in conventional and that synthetic was the option, at $50 additional. I wouldn't waste your time here only to be turned away or pushed into an oil you didn't need or want. Go elsewhere! read more

2nd time in a couple months coming here with my vehicles and 1 or 2 attendants were displaying disrespect and rudeness towards myself/vehicle. *** Took my second car in for an oil change an hour ago (around 4:15 pm 6/27/20) and 2 notable incidents happened that churned my stomach and caused me to think of the stereotypical "slimy mechanics" who will do certain things because they can. Really unpleasant thoughts. Remember, my car is under their control when they're underneath changing the oil. An "ooops I stripped the bolt" is very well possible followed by the "sorry sir you need to buy a new oil pan or you'll leak everywhere" if you "annoy" them with calling out poor behaviour. I don't say anything while guys are working on the car otherwise I'm afraid I'll go down that possible that ugly route (20 years ago I learned my lesson when I brought oil change techs attentions to their behaviours -- I know what I'm speaking about here -- some are irresponsible and vindictive I've found as per the above example). Anyway, back to where I was; 2 notable incidents today: one of the helpers was dragging and flopping the air hose over the roof of my car, and the second helper was slapping his greasy rag on my car and playfully(?)/ignorantly tapping the side of my vehicle as he goes to its rear. These two things are really unprofessional, in my opinion, and as a customer, I didn't like it at all. It churned my stomach. Now granted these two visits with both my cars was during the COVID-19 pandemic and we're told to wait in our cars. This contrary to the norm when we're in the waiting room and we never see what the mechanics or helpers do. These past two times have been eye opening in the way certain Jiffy Lube employees treat customer's cars. Does this happen when the customer is away or is it done because the customer is present and this behaviour of dragging the air hose across the roof of the car or slapping and tapping the car is done as a way to assert their superiority/dominance/ownership like an alley cat spraying his territory so as to dominate. I know young males are insecure and need to do this kind of crap to validate themselves, but the customer doesn't need it and I wish management at this place would observe their techs and call out the ones who are obviously behaving poorly whether they're ignorant to it or not so as to stop it. I used to enjoy coming to this place because the of the top notch service, but after these past two experiences, I'm not so sure so I gave 3 stars for that. Took off two because of the two rude and arrogant young techs. There were about 5 people working on my car. The blue and yellow lube place is just down the street. Allan, the "Manager" is the rudest employee I've ever encountered. DO NOT GO HERE. I brought my tire in to be looked at as it had a slow leak. He overtook the younger/nice tire employee and began to tell me that it wasn't a leak, but that there was an issue with the rim. He told me to come over to the tire and rim where it was sitting in a large bucket of water. I always consult my partner when it comes to spending money on our car as we share it, and so I asked if I could take a photo to share with him to tell him what was happening, and then I said, could you please show me the bubbles that come out of the rim area when you dunk it in the water (we were standing right beside the bucket) so that I could confirm the area. When they dunked the tire and rim...no bubbles came out. They swore the bubbles had come out before. So I said, ok, let me make a quick call to consult my parter...Allan did not like that and began to speak to me like I was not a client at all, told me he didn't want my business, that I should take my car elsewhere. That I was wasting his time. That he couldn't believe I took pictures and needed to make a call. Asked me to leave. Treated me like I was nothing. I will never be returning to this garbage location and I see there are a lot of other reviews complaining about the "manager" Allan and the owner of this location not doing anything about that. I used to love their service, but not anymore! If you want to be treated with respect, please consider other oil change places or another Jiffy Lube location. I did my most recent oil change on Feb 24th, 2017 at this location. I began to notice something strange about my car mileage. My car was using excessive amount of diesel gas. I used the Fuelly app to track my milage at every tank up. My mechanical friend on Fuelly.com recommend me to check my engine oil. Make sure it's not too much. I check with dipstick and found out it was more than max. I went back to the shop on March 4th to have the excessive engine oil suck out. When they open the hood, the technician actually said "What the hell!?" They quickly removed the extra engine oil. After the engine oil back to normal, I did another milage test for 100KM. And this time it's back to normal. I was happy, I caught it early. Only 10 days, shouldn't cause any harm to my engine. On March 14th, my car died. I towed my car to a repair shop. And my repair bill was $800 plus tax. My understanding was too much engine oil causing the car to burn extra fuel and the engine need to work harder and it slowly died. So I request Jiffy Lube to look into this problem and possibly cover the cost for this repair and $90 for towing my car. So I was on the phone with their manager Alan who had a very nasty attitude. He called me fraud, liar and scammer. He was shouting and yelling on the phone at two different times. He is totally not professional. I really do feel like he has some kind of emotional issues. And he said some wired things like, we recorded your video. I can see you in our video. I don't care you see my handsome face. And according to him, he was the one who suck out the extra engine oil from my car. Later I did more research by talking to more mechanics and understand the difference between fuel pump and oil pump. Then I understood it was only a coincidence that two events happened at a similar time. So they did put too much engine oil causing the milage to go down. And they did fix it at on the 10th day. My car did die but it is a separate event and they are not related to each other. From this incidence I learned 3 things. 1. Oil pump in charge of engine oil and Fuel pump in charge of gasoline. They are completely different car parts and can not be related to each other. 2. The manager at this location has a nasty attitude and should get an "F" mark for customer service. 3. I did all my research, paperwork and communication diligently. Even after their manager's rude shouting, name calling, and yelling. I hold on to my temper and did not do anything out of the legal boundary. My meditation training finally worked!! As for you, should you do your next oil change at Jiffy Lube? My answer is yes. They do provide affordable, high speed and quality service. But remember to double check your dipstick, make sure they don't put too much or too little engine oil by mistake. And use the Fuelly app to track your milage at every tank up. And if you see Alan there, say hello for me from Ian. I won't be going there again to see his ugly face. Conclusion, perhaps Alan should join my meditation class and learn how to master his emotion. He definitely should re-educate himself by taking a customer service course. Someday, he will become a well rounded and effective manager. Finally, if you happen to be a news reporter, please interview me. I spent $112.14 for my oil change there. And was treated without proper respect. A customer has his/her basic right to be treated fairly and equally. Even though, my suspicion was wrong in the end. I shouldn't be name called as fraud, liar and scammer. I shouldn't be yelled and screamed at on the telephone. I'm just a driver. How the heck do I know the difference of oil pump and fuel pump? Warned the bolt was holding by a couple of threads, dont know how long it will hold, holding by 2 strands. Did not advise to replace pan now, put note on receipt recommending it in future. When I first arrived I had NO idea where to go or who to talk to because there is no office. I had an appointment and was standing there being ignored, I ended up getting frustrated and going back to my car, then when I went back in they all of sudden noticed me and got my oil change started. I sit down and one of the "mechanics" came in and started shouting at me about being way overdue and I stood there confused as hell and a little pissed that I felt I was being shouted at, then finally he let me get a word it which was "what vehicle are you talking about?" turns out it wasn't even my vehicle he was yelling at me about. Get your shit straight if you are going to shout at your customers! They tried to add on something because apparently my oil was thick but didn't push it too much when I turned it down. Their waiting from was beyond ice cold and the coffee machine was broken so there is nothing to warm yourself up with. The oil change was super fast, like 12 minutes and they vacuumed the floor and washed all the windows, awesome! But then it took him 15 minutes to figure out how to enter my voucher so I could pay the measly $4 I owed them in tax. Really? It shouldn't take longer to charge someone then it does to do an oil change. It was alright because I had a discount, if I had paid their inflated prices and had this experience I would have been pretty annoyed about the whole situation. read more

I always go here to get an oil change for my car. I broke down and called up for some advice. Alan was really helpful, gave me the number of a tow company and even said he would wait for my car to get up even though they were almost closed. He got me a new battery straight away the next morning and registered it for warranty so I wouldn't be stuck again! Love this place! Seriously wish I could find a general mechanic who is half as nice and trust worthy as these guys. I always get my oil changed here, but recently have had to get check ups in between because of a crack in my overflow tank causing my coolant to leak a bit. Unfortunately my vehicle is a JDM and requires specific parts, so while I hunt around for a good mechanic and a decent priced tank, I just have to keep an eye on my fluid. The guys at this place have checked all my fluids numerous times free of charge, did a battery test for me when my meter was shorting out, always get me in within 5 minutes of rolling up (at like 4:30 pm, it seriously blows me away) and are always super helpful with any questions I might have. Absolutely recommend and will be coming here as long as I live in Vancouver. read more
