I've never been so demeaned for being a woman. I called back for a refund after the refused to service me. Meanwhile Richard the owner sat in my car and googled codes he wasn't able to fix. The issue? My mechanic told me later that the tube they replaced in April was leaking, and that's what they refused to fix due to what I believe is incompetence. I called the following day for a refund and Allan told me to come in again and I said I didn't trust their work after coming in and waiting. Allan was extremely rude and dismissive after my long wait to an empty shop. If you aren't in an emergency, or a woman, AVOID this place. They add things to the bill without asking (my initial visit I was charged $100 for coolant I didn't want). Reported to BBB. Awful service. After a lack of info and waiting without answer, I towed my car. The new and trusted mechanic said the coolant leaked and needed a new hose. No one at Jiffy lube answered basic questions and in fact couldn't even find the leak! An appointment to fix the issue never happened. The owner, Richard, spent an entire hour sitting in my car Googling basic diagnostic codes on his personal cell phone. He did not know how to fix the issue, yet I was still charged [Insert amount if you want]. Falsely claiming we scheduled a follow-up is an attempt to cover up a complete lack of basic expertise and a rip-off. Future customers beware.

The manager checked out my wheels and noted the lower pressure on one tire; an appointment was booked for the following day. The next day, the Kal Tire staff tracked down an elusive leak near my rim and dealt with it. Zero charge for some reason. I understand that there was no shop materials used but there certainly was time spent. However, even after I protested (that I should pay), they resisted. This negligence resulted in a fresh dent under my vehicle. I am highly disappointed with the lack of oversight, poor workmanship, and property damage at this location. Every time I've come here, and gone to other mechanics to get the same estimate, these guys always have the best prices. It's one of the best locations as well, it's on a bus route if you have to leave your vehicle and go somewhere else for a while. I recommend dropping it off in the morning and picking it up later. It's a busy shop so call ahead. I came here to get an oil change, cabin air filter, and to get a diagnostic because my engine light was on. All cost under $50. I went to a different mechanics shop last month to get something else done, because it was convenient to my workplace. I won't be doing that again. I don't know why I bother trying other places. I'm just going to keep coming back here. Service is friendly and communicative. A mandatory out of province inspection on a two year old vehicle is a little ridiculous. A Canadian car should be a Canadian car anywhere especially when it's so new. Nothing against these guys at Kings Autoguard, but the good news is that they are doing away with the inspection if your car is less than four years old beginning April 2015. Nonetheless, I'm half a year early and will have to shell out close to a hundred bucks to get this done. Back to the actual review. I was searching for just a good price and these guys were the only garage to advertise an out of province on Craigslist. It was a decent price so I called the day before and set up an appointment for the next morning. Kings Autoguard is clean and it looks like the owner Tony runs a tight ship there. They took my car in on time and told me to come back in an hour. The surrounding area is basically Little Saigon with tons of Vietnamese restaurants and shops. I went for a bowl of pho but 40 minutes later I get a call saying that it's all done but I had to come back to give them my address. I get back and they need my address to continue on with the paper work. I'm not sure why they didn't just ask for my address over the phone when I said I'd still be another 15 to 20 minutes. I asked the guy who did the inspection how long it would be and he said the paper work would take about 10 minutes. It ended up taking half an hour because he screwed up the form once and had to do it all over again. That was annoying as I was on a time crunch as the wait got longer and longer. Overall, of course nothing was wrong with the vehicle. Although if they said something was wrong with my newer vehicle that would have been concerning and I wouldn't believe either. I got the price as promised as well which is always a good thing. I just wish they were more organized with the paper work and would have gotten my address beforehand or over the phone so they didn't have to wait for me to come back before the began the paper work. They told me it was my oil sending unit and with parts and labour it would $70. I let them put it in and when I arrived home I was still seeing the oil dripping. I brought it back and they put it back on the hoist but said they couldn't see any oil leaking. Really? They fix cars for a living and can't even spot a dripping oil leak that any regular schmuck could see with naked eyes. If they couldn't see it actually dripping they should have been able to see the drips on the ground but they probably didn't even look for that. My rationale was that if they can't even see that there is a leak, I'm not even going to try and show them or have them try and fix my car again.

I said leave it i will take back to Toyota as they had been doing the service until then. upon getting home i found that the truck now had a oil leak, retuned to Mobil1 and asked to complete and let me see the damaged part. once removed and BEFORE returning to me they took the part to the side office and returned it with fresh damage. Then the tech asked me to sign an invoice listing ALL the things he checked, he did not check anything did not open the cabin air filter or engine air box. I reported this to the manager on site and he reacted with a shrug. buyer beware from this shop
