They actually had a big men's section, unlike other stores in the Brea Mall. The thing I did not like, though, was that they had one big checkout for the whole store (Men and women), so that there was a long line for the whole store when we checked out. I like the styles that they have, sweaters, jeans, etc. and would shop here again! Especially with the 50% off most items sale that they had, got something for $25 that originally was $50! read more

Express is my go-to place for nice, dressy clothes if I can afford a mini splurge (or investment, depending on how you want to look at it).. I was shopping for a graduation dress and took 2 into the fitting rooms. Wendy was checking up on me and she brought a few different styles that I had initially passed over, but figured might as well. Lesson learned: if it has even a little bit of potential, try it on! The one I had the least amount of interest in ended up being the best one! It works miracles for my bootay~ Wendy ran back and forth getting me sizes and colors; she was cheerful and offered good feedback. 5 stars for her. The checkout line had a few people in it but went fast. I had to reactivate my Express card, and that was done quickly and easily at the register. Yesterday my brother went to purchase some new suits because he was just promoted at his job there was an older lady that was working the fitting rooms she had blonde hair she was at least in her late 50'sor 60's I don't believe she knew that that was my brother but when I went to sit down waiting for my brother to try on new suits I notice her while helping my brother roll her eyes and huffed under her breath while assisting him. I thought maybe I was over looking things ( my brother tried on a few items and when he came back to try on another item she didn't even acknowledge him and said with very much attitude your fitting room is on the second room.I've watch this person greet other clients with a very happy tone walking and opening up the fitting room for them.. But why a different attitude with my little brother? I then asked my brother if he was ok and he stated that she has been very rude from the beginning and he stated that he has not done anything wrong but try on some items .this made me so sad. So I told her she was very rude and I wanted to speak to her manager and she replied back that she was the manager and I asked to speak to someone higher AND SHE IGNORED ME. it's big with a lot of selection. customer service is good. plenty of fitting rooms. i like the location right next to the food court. not much to complain about here. the only qualm i did have are the lines. it seems they never really have enough cashiers around. im impatient and i don't like waiting more than 5 minutes in line. on a side note, i would highly encourage you to get the express credit card. after some time, i think you get upgraded to A-list status and you always get a bunch of coupons in the mail. Some of them are useless, but i think a really good one comes at least once every two months. my most recent one was a $15 off purchase. no minimum purchase required. it was like a gift card for $15 basically so i just bought leggings that cost $16 and ended up paying $1 for it. First off, I think it's ridiculous that Express has 50% off promos and cant handle the online traffic. Due to the influx of orders from Black Friday & Cyber Monday promotions, their system couldnt process all orders that were placed during that time. I received my order from Black Friday and went to the store to return some items. 1st day system was down. They said come back in an hour or two. I came back the next day, system was still down. I called 888 number listed and they stated Express could have called 888 to process returns. They just didnt want to. I made 2 trips back to Express on 2 separate days - total waste of my time and efforts. I'm giving this store 1 star because staffs here should have accommodated and tried other avenues to help out with this big inconvenience instead of asking consumer to see if they want to exchange instead of refund or going in circles. I'm definitely not a big fan of Express and their customer orientation. Even if they have 50% off from now, will not bother. read more

Went to the mall to kill a few hours in between class's. I strolled into express looking for a new shirt for a wedding that was gonna be outdoors in the daytime with classy/casual as the dress code. I kinda had a mind set that i wanted a nice pastel color, since it was gonna be a wedding at the beach. To my great delight, a very helpful lady, who I believe was a manager helped me find a few shirts in the right sizes to try on, and even brought out a few that weren't on the floor just yet. Once in the dressing room another associate was also very helpful in getting me the same shirts i had just tried on in one size smaller. Needless to say I was able to pick out 2 shirts I liked with the help of these two very helpful people. Not to mention 40% off both shirts!! I just wish i could remember their names!! But in any case, this place had great customer service and I will be going back there next time I need some new duds! read more

Express is one of my favorite places to get my clothes. They contain a good balance of classy and hip. I buy all my work clothes from there. (They usually have really great deals on Black Friday.) I shop in the men's section, and sometimes the men's section at Express is small, but at this location, it's pretty decent. Whenever I go there, there's always a large selection to look at. It sometimes seems small compared to the women's section (which is more than half the store). I've always been able to find my size and what I'm looking for there. For some reason, the staff there are really nice, but the line at the register is slower than I'm used to. read more

The customer service at this store is by far the worst I've ever seen. I walked in looking for a tie in a specific color and according to the express website the tie was in stock at this store. After going through the tie collection that was out front and not finding the color I needed I tried to flag down an employee to ask where they kept the other ties. This girl walking by pushing a cart back to the back room walked by and I just politely said "excuse me" this girl looks right at me and without saying anything continues to walk right by me...As someone who has worked retail before I know that when a customer asks for help you do not ignore them. Even if you are busy with another task you let them know you're busy and will be with them in a few minutes you don't ignore them as if you can't see them. Anyway this girl takes the cart back and walks back out and walks right by me a second time. The store wasn't even busy aside from me there were about 3 other people in the store shopping around. All of the other employees were either in the back or busy working the register so I was left walking around without anyone asking me if I needed help. I eventually found where they kept the other ties and got the one I needed and went to the register to pay and the employees who were at the register earlier had left to go check on other things so again I was standing in front of an empty register. The same girl who walked by me twice ignoring me was standing near the register talking to another employee and they both see me waiting and neither of them comes over to ring me up...instead they continue to talk amongst each other until another employee runs over to ring me up. Horrible customer service, horrible employees...the only reason I didn't leave is because none of the other stores had a plain solid white tie on hand. But in the future I won't be shopping at this express store again. read more

Comments that the discount will be taken on the lowest marked item, which has again NOTHING to do with the point of sale. I didn't understand , nor provided an explanation until after i walked out of the store and wondered how i spent $333.00 on a handful of clothing.YES I could have taken them back, my son shops there all the time, he's in the Air Force in Japan and these were Christmas gifts. The point is , the INSULTING of their customers, the the total BLANK look on the stores help when challenged. I asked for the manager, was was provided a young man who posed himself as the "store manager", later finding out it's a lady, so my customer service was denied and "skirted" and accomplished nothing. I made my comments through the corporate web past last week and have yet to have a response. I'm an express girl! meaning about 50% of my wardrobe comes from here! Why? Cuz they always "get me" with those darn mailer coupons. my dude always rolls his eyes when i get those in the mail, cuz he knows we'll be making a trip to the mall soon. He always remarks that he never understands why i bother looking around, cuz i always end up buying the same thing- BLACK EDITOR PANTS!!! these pants are the best! i have about 15 pair- seriously. and that's because they actually fit (they have different lengths Tall, Med and Short)- short length for most of us asian women who don't have those beautiful long model legs. - i don't have to get them tailored! And they LAST! Unlike say clothes from Forever 21, or those type of stores, you can wear them for years if you wanted! I also like their "Stella" Jeans. (the name Stella, not short for Stellar!). The staff were very pleasant during my visit. After letting me into the changing room, Eric brought me clothing in various different sizes without me asking. They ended up fitting me better than the ones I had picked out myself. His help is highly appreciated! I prefer to look for things on my own and not interact too much with anyone, but this experience was very pleasant. I was asked a couple times if I wanted to have the items I was holding dropped off in the changing room. It confused me, as I'm used to just carrying all my items. Today i called this store 5 times and waited for two minutes for someone to answer and no one did. Very irritating!

I bought two dresses from this store because I couldn't choose between the two to wear to an event... I ended up wearing one and then when I tried to return the other they wouldn't take it back because it was missing some special tag that it didn't even come with in the beginning. The other dress that I wore had one but not the one I was returning. If they are going to enforce this policy, they should make sure that their dresses have the tag to begin with instead of robbing customers of their option to return it and if it doesn't work out. Not to mention the woman was really rude... when I asked well what am I supposed to do with a $60 dress I can't wear? She responded with "give it to a friend." Everytime I've shopped at that location, everyone is helpful and it's always clean. I especially want to mention Rebecca for always helping me every time I've shopped at that location. I shop there mainly on the weekends or store wide sale days and it gets really busy. She does a really great job at managing the busy fitting rooms and helping the other customers outside of the fitting rooms. I've been to other Express locations but I don't really get that type of customer service from those as I do at this location with this group of staff. read more

Theres alot of good things about this express...first of all its next to the cinnabon thing.Secondly I think its in one of the nicest malls around the area.This express store is big..and has lots of dressing rooms.I have been here many times and always find what i want in not so big crowds.As you walk in your greeted..and as you walk out your told bye..so i like that. The way they have it set up is easy to understand.mens on the left and womens on the right...and there kinda even from selections. Customer service is good..always helpful..and always easy to find somebody..they offer suggestions which being a guy..helps out alot sometimes..with different colors... I made an online purchase and came to this store to process a return. I walked in and asked an employee where the register was, he didn't answer instead he pointed to the back of the store. No welcome not even one word. He didn't even smile he looked upset. So i walk to the back where this older gentleman I want to say maybe middle eastern guy called me up to the register. He didnt greet me instead I proceeded to tell him I had a return. He pointed at the countertop I guess so I could place my items. He then was so annoyed because he couldn't find my transaction on my express account. He seemed so annoyed and once he was able to give me my return on a giftcard he literally just slapped the card on the counter. I kept my cool but really wanted to ask what the heck was his deal. Mind u this whole thing happened while i had my baby in my arm. I cant believe how miserable people are like just get a new job If u hate it so much. I was very impressed with my experience at Express Men today. One of the staff, Eric, was extremely helpful in many ways. First off, I hate shopping for clothes. Eric helped me find a style of jeans that I liked plus he searched though them to find the right size for me. He did this twice. Secondly, when I got home there was a message on my machine from Eric saying that some cash (and a very sentimental money clip) dropped out of my pocket in the changing room. Eric looked up my phone number on my Express Next account to let me know he found it. Overall I was very pleased with my Express experience. Eric needs a promotion and a raise! read more

I've honestly never felt compelled to review retail/clothing stores. However as my 2nd time here I was taken off guard by the level of friendliness, courtesy, and helpfulness of not one particular rep but every single one. As soon as I walked in and lined up, with a bag as I had to exchange something, I was approached and asked how I can be helped. I told them I wanted to exchange some pants and they had JUST remodeled so even the employees were not sure where the particular model for jeans were. She basically went on an easter egg hunt around the store to try to find the jeans for me apologizing each time we went to the wrong section. She checked 4-5 places before finding the jeans I wanted and helped me find the right size. The girl running the fitting room was equally friendly as were the reps working the cashier and the ones on the floor. EVERY SINGLE employee was kind and helpful. They have a good vibe going on and it's places like this where I'm sure everyone enjoys their work and the service they provide. read more
