First and last time I will ever go to their place. I paid $155.55 for two people and literally the nails didn't even last a day. We got pedis and my girlfriend got a manicure as well. We asked for the basic pedi, they literally charged us $50 even tho the price said $25 and then charged $25 for for gel and then attempted to charged us additional for the color. I refused to pay $200. Originally the one lady said $105 all together but then they said something in their language and charged $150 and forced us to pay tip of $5. Never will I ever go here again. Really surprised about all the negative comments. I've only been here twice because it wasn't always convenient for me but now it is and after my second time I can confirm that this is probably my favorite nail salon in Buffalo so far. I think the prices are reasonable and the color selection seems small but there's a lot of really cute colors. You could always bring your own polish too. I've experienced somebody being rude to somebody else but if you don't bother anybody they don't bother you. Very meticulous. I love it here. I just left there and the woman doing my pedi cut me 3 times while trimming my cuticles. One wouldn't stop bleeding until she put some sort of powder on it. I got a full set with gel polish about 2.5 weeks ago. The experience was nothing special. I decided I would return for a fill considering the full set with gel was only $30. I went back today for a fill and eyebrow waxing. When I asked for the price of the fill I was told $15 and $7 for the eyebrows. The woman doing the eyebrows was extremely rough and inconsiderate. One woman did my eyebrows, a man filled my nails, and a different woman polished my nails. The man asked to double check that I had gotten my eyebrows done. When I said yes he told me $30 total for both nails and eyebrows. $15 + $7 = $22 not $30, however I didn't argue. When the girl finished my polish she said I owed $7 for my eyebrows. I told her I already paid and the man came over to explain that "I forgot to add eyebrows". When I mentioned my concerns they were not accommodating whatsoever and quite rude. I gave a $5 tip before all this unfolded. I spent $42 on eyebrows and a gel fill when I spent $30 on a full set with gel polish the first time. What kind of sense does this make? Will not be going back. And do not recommend. read more

I went to Exotic Nails on a Thursday afternoon for an eyebrow wax. I had actually stopped going there for about 6 months because the last few times I went the lady that did my eyebrows left them quite uneven. Needless to say I was late for an event and they were the closest shop around. As I waited in the chair for my wax, I watched the worker that was going to do my eyebrows set up a pedicure for another customer, place the customers feet in the water and move her hands around in the water (obviously checking the temperature). She then got up, dried her hands without washing and blew her nose. She approached me to begin my eyebrow wax and I politely asked her if she was in a middle of a pedicure ( which was to me way more polite then flat out calling her out and asking her to wash her hands), She then proceeded to walk away from me (never answering my question) and spoke to another worker in a different language. The other worker then approached me and told me that the woman is refusing to do my eyebrows now and that I would have to come back later when a different person was there. Shocked and confused.. I asked the worker why she was refusing to service me for asking a simple question that was legitimate because of what I saw. The worker told me that she tried to explain it to the woman then she also walked away from me and started greeting other customers. I called into the shop and requested to speak to a manager and spoke to Mike. I asked him to explain to me why I just experienced what I did and he told me that I should know that they do not do pedicures then start and eyebrow waxing. I explained to him what I saw and also reiterated that I was simply asking her about hand washing and not even in an accusatory way (although she indeed did not wash her hands) and he continued to repeat that they don't do that and that I should "know better" then became annoyed with me and said he had to go. I have filed a formal complaint with NY state on them (licensing as well as consumer protection). If you choose to use this establishment please pay close attention to the hand washing practices (or lack thereof) and also the sharing of instruments between customers. It is a NY state law that the sticks they use for waxing are to be changed between customers and that is another thing I noticed that was not being done. Places like this rush people in and out like cattle, have poor customer service and could care less if we end up with infections due to there poor and unsanitary practices. If you experience a similar situation at Exotic Nails or any other nail salon don't just complain about it..please report it. read more

PLEASE READ. I was in the salon several days ago with my friend and she was holding my purse in the front of the store. I had just finished getting my eyebrows done and as I was picking my purse up from my friend, holding onto my wallet/purse, (I assume) the main lady who works there yells out "MISS, CASH OR CREDIT"? So, I turn around slowly, I could have "turned up", or "gone ratchet" but I held it together and just said "cash". Nice for the price and efficiency; can't expect much for what your paying. My only complaint is that they do what every other salon does: talk you into something else. Not like a sales thing, where you spend more, just something other than you asked. They didn't have the color I had in mind, so I picked a nude closest to it. The person doing my nails said he had one better. My nails are now a baby pink. It's a nice color, it's just not what I wanted. Now every time I look at them, I get pissed off. I should've told them to change it but they were rushing to close, and if I go back, I'll end up getting charged for a polish change. My point is, the color in no realm would be described as a "nude" and I think he realized they didn't have the color I wanted, he just couldn't come back and admit he had nothing better. Went there 3 times before and had the men do my nails..always great. Then went on tuesday and had a woman do them.I went in for a fill and polish and the woman at station #5 didn't bother to file my actual nails behind the acrylics or actually take the polish all the way to my cuticles. (I went with black polish so this is really noticible) She put the polish on so thick that even after 20 minutes under the drying light and an additional 4 minutes under a different dryer my nails still got smudged and dimpled. When i called the next day to explain that the job was awful and also to explain that because i was going out of town i didnt have time to come right back in i wqs told it was either that day or nothing. i told the girl i would dispute it with my credit card company and they would lose a customer her reply was "ok" and she hung up.
