Avoid Executive Moving Systems. I reached out for a moving quote and got a prompt response. The quote itself was an egregious overestimate, saying a 1bedroom apartment move an hour away was going to take 9 hours?? Yet I proceeded - do not make my mistake. Further communication to proceed with the service was extremely unprofessional: messages sent with typos and all caps; basic information requested, given, and then overlooked and requested again; delayed and incomplete follow up regarding contract paperwork. Not believing they could execute my move with professionalism and not having signed or paid anything, I took my business elsewhere. Should be negative stars. This company was contracted by North American Van Lines to move my belongings from Ohio to Nevada. The driver started by showing up four hours late with rambling, nonsensical excuses all the while laughing like this was hilarious. It went downhill from there. I don't have space to document this move from Hell. The highlights are all of my furniture that could be taken apart was. They missed a shelving unit, I had to call the driver back and he argued with me that nothing was left. I had to text him a photo, including the moving sticker. He didn't return to get it until almost midnight. When my belongings were offloaded in Nevada, I discovered a lot of missing property and a lot of what I did receive was damaged. I'm still in contention with NAVL over the insurance claim. Among the MANY items not returned was a 60" TV and brand new hand truck. The damage was excessive and not a single piece of furniture that was taken was returned in its entirety. I'm left with misc pieces of useless junk. Horrible, expensive experience. Moving is stressful . . . Your moving company shouldn't be in the business if they make it worse. It was a mistake to trust Executive Moving Systems. The owner (Bill) and son (Justin) were smooth talkers. They did a great job selling us on their company, were super responsive to gain our business, but ghosted us after booking. As an example, I called and texted Justin the week before our move, when our close was pushed back. He responded by text: "Will buzz you when I get a moment. I have appointments all day so pls bare with me." I never heard from him again. -- When the movers arrived at our old house to load our belongings into crates, they were one crate short so they threw a bunch of our stuff into the back of a box truck and said they would crate it at the warehouse, providing no documentation nor proof that it made it into storage with the rest of our goods. We stored our belongings with EMS for 4 months at $700 per month. -- We were emailed the night before our 3-day delivery window started to inform us that the driver did not load all of our goods onto his truck and would only deliver a partial shipment to us. He left 1,800 pounds behind because it wouldn't fit into his truck after the first family's load was larger than he anticipated. We were given no opportunity to wait until everything could be loaded and delivered together. -- Because of the partial delivery, we ended up with a dining table top but no base, half of our exercise machine, our fire table chairs with no fire table, some dishes but no silverware, some pots but no pans, no bedding for our children . . . the list goes on and on. -- Instead of prioritizing delivery of what they left behind, we then had to wait more than a week to have the rest of our items delivered only one state away, less than 400 miles. -- Because our belongings had been separated, we ended up with numerous lost items. (We also had damaged furniture and mirrors, which we PAID the moving company to have their packers safely pack for us.) - When I contacted Mary, the office admin, regarding the missing and damaged items, she passed us off to an insurance company even though I described several large boxes containing bathroom and kitchen items that I hoped were still in the warehouse at that point. She never followed up. The bottom line is that Executive Moving Systems: 1) Did not load all of our items into box crates, as promised, at initial pick up 2) Allowed their driver to load and transport only a portion of our stored belongings without our approval 3) Did not prioritize delivery of the items they chose to leave behind 4) Damaged and lost many of our valuable items in the process of separation 5) Shuffled us off to an insurance company to make a claim instead of providing any help to recover what was missing due to their actions. Alright, so I was quite nervous to help my Aunt coordinate her first coast to coast move because I've never done it myself. After loads of research, I decided to use these guys for her 3 bedroom 2 bath house. I loved that they'll pack and move her in the same day, even for larger moves like this one. Coordination with their team was effortless for when I had questions and also when my Aunt had questions -- they never got frustrated with us (we had a LOT of questions haha). Fast forward to the move day in Los Angeles to NYC. The driver and helpers were 5 minutes early which she appreciated, the helpers were very on point in seeing every last detail and Justin fulfilled exactly what was promised to us in her estimate/contract. Really good salespersons. At the beginning, responsive, friendly, offered gazillion promises that they are experienced, boasted they are "unlike other movers", raved about their great reviews (now that we personally gone through we are doubting every one of those reviews- yes, "good" reviews are easily created, beware). Truth is, once they get your business it's all downhill. They messed up the quote (and we have to pay (heavily) for their mistake). So much for "binding price". They made us pay overtime when the move ended. What are you going to do- you are held hostage at their mercy by that time. Their guys sat around on the clock and watched me and my kids work! Like all the other salesman, before contract, you can even get them on their personal mobile phone. After you signed, you are second class citizen. They are too busy to talk to you. Ryan represents a realistic move quote / proposal. As much as it seems possible to move all your stuff in 4 hours.... its just not going to happen. He was honest enough to propose a 3 man crew for 6 hours... he was correct. we all have more stuff than we realize! I dont plan to move again... but if i do, Ryan will be my first call. I was very nervous for my move, so I got a few quotes from different companies and really liked Ryan and his father, Bill. I went to their facilities, met them both, and they actually gave my wife and me a bunch of used boxes so we could start packing. Their packing crew did an amazing job, and their team of movers was top notch. Our furniture and household items arrived without damage, but a few small parts in a parts bag (screws and hinges) had gotten lost in transition, and Bill was kind enough to quickly pay for their replacement. Chose them for a move in April from California to Kansas...at first I thought they did a great job moving us, however as I started to unpack I found a tote that was not ours, had same colored stickers as ours, but different number, when I called to let them know it was not ours, and I was missing my shampoo machine, could they have delivered my item to the other people.? To make a REALLY long story short, my shampoo machine was never found, and I still have their other clients tote as just had no way to retrieve that for them... couldn't replace my item as I had signed on delivery day I had received everything.. I honestly thought it was buried in the mound of boxes in the garage.. this was the only move I have ever had that the driver and team did not call off numbers as it was being unloaded...lesson learned, just be aware customer service is lacking! read more

Our family recently moved across the country. Executive Moving Systems delivered our belongings weeks late and failed to respond to our calls and emails for days at a time. Because everything arrived so late, we ended up having to spend thousands of additional dollars on hotel rooms and meals. When we finally did get in touch with Executive Moving Systems after doing an excessive amount of outreach, they were rude and dismissive. We have young children, and this level of unexpected disruption added a great deal of distress for them during the already challenging process of adjusting to such big change. Our pet also had to endure weeks of additional stress due to the belabored process that we experienced. We basically paid five figures to get ignored by Executive Moving Systems for several weeks, then treated with undue disrespect once we finally got them to respond. I recently used Executive Moving Systems to move to my new place. Watching Fernando, Sergio, Gabino, and Regino at work was like watching the art of moving in motion. They were specialists in their field with the highest credentials, obvious doctorates of their profession. They performed diligently, non-stop, engrossed in the process like work-a-bees on the queen's hive, focused and deliberate. They wrapped the furniture as if they were precious gifts for loved ones, traversed three flights of stairs, carrying the precious cargo, and packed the trucks with skill and precision. Any visible damage was pointed out to alleviate any discrepancies, and any questions I had were met to my satisfaction and ease of mind. The guys worked with me to make sure each piece was where I wanted it at the new address. Even moving the same piece more than once! The president of Executive, Bill Bird, had said to me in one of our previous communications, something like, "you're going to see what moving looks like when pros do it." He was unequivocally right! I can't swear to how anyone else's move with Executive will be. But I can swear that if they give you the same quality of service they gave me, you absolutely can't beat it! I'm convinced it's in their DNA! I couldn't have given the guys a big enough tip. I am in the middle of a move with Executive Moving Systems - an agent of North American Van Lines. We are moving from Orange County, CA to the Oregon Coast. Loading took place on 6/18 with delivery between 6/22 and 6/30. Today is 7/8 and there is still no estimated date of delivery. My wife, 1 year old son, and I are in an empty house with camping chairs and inflatable mattresses. We have borrowed cooking items. Communication from Executive Moving Systems has only been when I reach out to them. Of course, I was then referred to Customer Service which my wife called and left a message but still zero response. Please do your research on moving companies. I assumed that his would be quite simple. The salesman Justin Bird V.P. Sales Residential/Corporate was friendly and polite at time of sale and estimating but everything has gone downhill from there. I do not recommend Executive Moving Systems or North American Van Lines for any move. This was my first large move and I am incredibly pleased with Executive Moving Systems. The company managed to pack and move me in the same day. They did an excellent job. They came and inspected my place beforehand, gave me a clear "not to exceed" quote and left me reading material regarding my rights as a potential customer. The day of the move, three guys came to my place with a considerable amount of packing material. They worked fast, and were incredibly careful with my belongings. Once packed, we went to my new place where they easily unloaded sixty boxes and furniture. The boxes were clearly marked, incredibly well packed and they placed the boxes and furniture in the corresponding new location. The three guys were incredibly hard-working, friendly, efficient and were professional. Moves are inherently stressful and EMS made it so much better. My only complaint was administrative. I didn't really feel that the relocation specialist assigned to me was very attentive, although very nice. The other office staff were great. I had to ask repeatedly for written information, I never received a follow-up call to see how the move went (maybe this isn't something they do), and it took them a week to charge my credit card, which was surprising. But the day of the move was perfect, I am super happy with this company and will certainly use them for future moves. read more

Justin directed a very thorough virtual tour of my contents and provided a good written estimate within hours. The crating services were scheduled immediately and Mary, my move coordinator, was very responsive with scheduling questions. The packer arrived early so that nearly everything was ready to load in the truck and the 5-person team was fantastic in both moving everything out of the residence and into the moving van. Everyone knows that moving is stressful. Nobody actually enjoys moving. Our move out of state was no exception, but our move was made that much better by having a great team of logistics coordinators. My main points of contact were with Justin Bird and Mary Torres, who were communicative, responsive, and just plain awesome. I called and booked them very early on (months in advance). Our move was drawn out due to our closing date being pushed back multiple times, and they were nothing but wonderful throughout the process, accommodating our many changes.  I can't thank them enough for making a stressful move just a little less stressful by providing us such awesome service, a wonderful driver (Eduardo), and great teams on both ends. Both moving teams on each end of the move covered all of our railings, and floors, and moved so quickly that I hardly had time to even give any direction, as they knew exactly what they were doing. They disassembled furniture that needed to be disassembled, and organized it so that the team on the receiving end could put it all back together quickly and efficiently. Everyone was polite and friendly, and respectful of our things. Schedule wise, they showed up when they said they would, punctually, and worked fast and efficiently. On the receiving end, the driver let me know exactly what time and day he would arrive, and he did just that. Smooth as could be. I have used other movers in the past, and even interviewed two other long distance professional moving companies for this move, but from the get-go, I just had a good feeling about how this company runs the show. With some of the other companies, I felt like just another number, and they didn't really care to follow up or answer my very specific questions and concerns. Justin was the only one who patiently handled my many different obstacles, and truly helped me maneuver the move as smoothly as possible. I just recently relocated from OC CA to TX for work. It was an aggressive relocation and I didn't have a lot of time to figure out how I was moving my stuff. I had seen a northAmerican Van Lines (Executive Moving Systems) truck in the neighborhood, so I decided to call them. Let's just say it was one of the best decisions I made. The Sales Director Ryan is one of the most professional people I've ever worked with, especially in sales. I was told that I would not get my stuff moved for anything under a certain amount before deciding to go with Executive Moving Systems, but Ryan worked with me and got all of my belongings moved within my budget, which is unheard of. Every worry I had, Ryan was always available and putting my mind at ease. I was also worried about hidden costs... Ryan assured there would be zero and ZERO hidden costs is what I ended up with. The Coordinator Victoria was also great and always there to answer questions as well. She insured everything before the move and after was as it was supposed to be. The movers themselves were even professional. They had excellent customer service skills. Every time I tried to help move something they advised to put it down as it was their job. They labeled and numbered everything. They also packed everything with a lot of padding to insure nothing got broken (Nothing broke). In conclusion my whole move went extremely well. I have friends and family making the same move this summer and I have scheduled them all to utilize Executive Moving Systems for their move. Moving cross-country, our contact person would often not return our calls, and failed to mention that our cars would be transported by an outside contractor. We ended up spending over $3000 in rental cars because our cars did not arrive when promised. The manager of the company basically told us to forget any kind of compensation for this extra fee, and that it wasn't their problem. Our family just moved to San Clemente. We opted for a "BIG BRAND" moving company, Executive Moving Systems ( an agent of North American Movers). I've historically used smaller moving companies trying to save a few bucks but not any more as North American handled our move on time, on budget with no ups or extra costs. And the 4 man moving team was amazing! Bill, gave me the original estimate for the move. He offered to come out and walk me through the process but as we talked through the details he was confident his estimate would cover it and would include the moving insurance needed. When I received the bill, it was surprisingly less than quoted. The moving team introduced themselves, we're clean cut and well-spoken. I walked them through the house and when they saw my wife was still handling some last minute boxing they offered to help. The rooms were emptied in no time and yet the care and time that was spent on wrapping and handling each individual piece of furniture was amazing. Not a single scratch or anything was broken in the move. When unloading in San Clemente, I expected the movers to speed up and just focus on getting the truck empty to get home but instead each of the guys was attentive to placement of furniture and boxes and actually helped us decide where to put a few pieces of furniture. But Executive Moving Systems put my anxieties to rest! First, HUGE shout out to our driver Favian. He showed up to our new place with bad news - his helper canceled on him last minute. So, he had to move all of our stuff by himself. He did an awesome job, too. Thanks Favian! The movers and Favian arrived right on schedule both times. Everything was numbered by the movers, which made it easy to use their checklist to make sure everything arrived. And yup, happy to report everything arrived in the condition they left in. We have used other movers before, but I was extremely pleased with Executive Moving Systems. They didn't just toss a blanket over our stuff. They made sure it was blanketed and wrapped tight like a newborn baby. And they rolled out a blue mat to protect our floor during the departure and arrival moves. The only negative I have is that when my husband contacted our moving coordinator via email on two occasions, there was no response. The first time, I sent a follow-up and received a prompt reply. The second time, I didn't follow-up. So, there was no response at all. Not sure if there was confusion, but my only feedback to the company is to please make sure the coordinator responds! If I could give a zero I would. Worst company I've worked with. Give us a quote for $2500 and the whole move ended up costing over $10,000. They held our furniture hostage until we paid whatever ridiculous price they said. They are the absolute worst moving company I have ever dealt with in my life.
