I don't like to leave bad reviews, but I was very unhappy with the administrative side of this experience. The move itself was fine, but I had asked if they had someone who could INSTALL my murphy bed (not just disassemble it, install it -- and I was assured over the phone that they would include a mover who was able to install the bed). It is why I chose this company. I have to admit that I was skeptical; other companies said they could not install the bed, but I called back and made this specific request and they said it could be done. Naturally on the moving day I am told the movers cannot install the bed, but they say they can have a "handyman" come do it for an additional $150. This was not what I thought we agreed to, so I did not jump at the opportunity. A few days later when I call do express my disappointment and ask that they send someone to finish the job, they say a handyman will call the next day between 10-2, but I never get a call. I never heard any additional feedback at all. Also -- and I don't want to accuse anyone -- but the movers took a picture of my ID and debit card used for payment, and the next day I had a bunch of fradulent charges on my account. It could be a coincidence, but what a coincidence. I hate that this is making me sound like a Karen, but here we are. All I ask for is fairness. Had they been upfront about the specifics with the bed installation, I would have understood. But it felt like a bait and switch, and I don't appreciate that. I have moved homes with professional movers several times over the last 30 years. For the most part they have all gone pretty well. My experience over the last two days with 4US Moving has been a disaster! Yesterday, they show up with only 4 of the 6 requested movers and wanted to give minimal discount. Sent them away and was harassed by company with dozens of calls demanding I pay the 3 hour minimum charge. Finally, they agreed to return today with crew of 6. all of those moves have been without challenge. While the crew worked very hard they obviously had received little or no training. Within 5 minutes I moved from providing direction to damage control. The crew was not organized and it was completed chaos. They accomplished about 45% of the sales persons said they could complete 100% in 3 hours. They used dry clean only drapes I had to protect an item and secured it with several rounds of packing tape. I had to get in the middle of two workers fighter to avoid them throwing punches. Plus too many other things to even mention. Maybe I just got a couple bad crews but it seems to me this issues start at the top. Strongly advise that you would likely regret hiring this company. read more

This move was initially kind of overwhelming for us, but they loaded up our 3 bedroom apt (with stairs!) so quickly! Update: After this review was posted, the company offered us an additional $100 if we would confirm the matter was 'resolved.' We declined. We would rather leave it up as an honest assessment and warning to others in the vulnerable position of moving. Original post: Absolutely do not hire this company. We hired them for a full pack-and-move for a move that was only about 0.3 miles away, and it still took nearly 11 hours. They also showed up two hours late. The entire day was chaotic, disorganized, and incredibly stressful. From the beginning, the crew seemed overwhelmed and inexperienced. They kept banging our furniture into things. Midway through the move, the crew lead left due to an emergency, communication fell apart completely, and the rest of the team seemed to have no idea how to manage the job. Anyone who has been through a move knows how hard it is to pull the plug once a moving company is already on-site: you've paid a deposit, your lease or move-out deadline is looming, and your entire day depends on them. In retrospect, I wish I had sent them home. The first major red flag was when they refused to move our piano unless we paid more money, even though we had already disclosed the piano to the company in advance. Last-minute upcharges continued from there. Although we paid (significant) additional money for packing services, the crew complained the entire time about having to pack. They failed to label boxes even after being explicitly told to do so, packed liquids upside down and without caps, ruined items by letting those liquids leak all over other belongings, and packed plants upside down in boxes (???). At the new house, they left furniture disassembled and scattered throughout the house. (They created an unsafe situation in our children's room with unsecured bookcases and a bed left in pieces. We ended up having to sleep on the floor until we could pay someone else to reassemble the bed and make the room safe.) They also broke multiple pieces of furniture, including our dining table, our new sofa, and three bookcases, along with smaller household items. They left items behind at our original house and left a huge amount of packing debris and trash for us to deal with afterward, even though it was their own material. It cost us about $150 to have that hauled away. The most upsetting part was at the end of the move. They would not unload our belongings from the truck until we signed paperwork late at night, before we had any chance to inspect the condition of our furniture, saying that everything was fine. By that point it was around 9 PM, my kids were screaming, and after an exhausting day I felt like I had no choice but to sign whatever they put in front of me just to get our belongings off the truck. After that, their services were even worse. As they moved our stuff in, they banged into doorways, walls, etc., and continued complaining about the house, the furniture, and the scope of the work (even though this was a move of a 1,700-square-foot house only six blocks away! For comparison, we previously moved out of a 3,000-square-foot house, over 15 miles, with two stops, and that entire move took about 10 hours total). In the end, we paid over $3,000 for a move of six blocks -- way more than what they quoted us on the phone -- and were left with damaged furniture, missing parts, extra costs, and a huge amount of stress. The company eventually paid a small claim of $249, but only because their contract limits compensation to 60 cents per pound of damaged furniture. That's a lot of pounds of damaged furniture! And the reparations did not come close to covering the actual damage and disruption. Our losses added up to well over $5,000. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend hiring someone else. I would not recommend this moving service at all. We have use multiple services in the past to move our business and all have been great. They had a main project manager and it was the same crew each day. This company 1) had no project manager on site at all. We had to work with a sales rep over the phone 2) It was completely different crews from day 1 to day 2 so the day 2 movers had no clue what to do. It was an awful experience. read more

Moving out of my one-bedroom place seemed like it was going to be a hassle because both buildings had two flights of stairs but the crew handled it without any issues. They disassembled my bed, packed the last few loose items into boxes and made sure everything was protected before loading. These people are THIEVES. The worst experience I've ever had with any professional company. They arrived late, tried to bill me halfway through the service for hours they never worked, stopped working and sat in the truck refusing to unload my furniture until I paid them for extra hours they never completed and then when I argued it, packed up the truck with my things to drive back to their own storage facility. When I finally agreed to pay, they refused to offer me secure payment and demanded a photo of my credit card. They kept sending me a new invoice every 30 minutes that was higher and higher. I was bullied into paying or having my entire house of belongings confiscated to a city two hours away. This is all illegal and they cannot be trusted. I have never been cheated and treated so poorly by a company. be careful with them. The movers delayed / stalled the loading of off loading time to be able to make money. Damaged my items and I was charged over $2000 for a local short distance move. After an inflated 5 hr move they charged me for 10 hrs and 45 mins - per policy double. I don't usually write reviews, but this experience involved OVERCHARGING WITHOUT CONSENT, HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION, and what honestly felt like EXTORTION at multiple points. From the beginning, communication was disorganized and unprofessional. Staff had no idea what was going on with my case, and I was constantly passed between people with no clear ownership or accountability. Every interaction required me to repeat everything from scratch. I was quoted a flat fee, but was charged significantly more without any proper notice or consent. The payment was still taken from my account the same day, despite no clear agreement for the additional amount. During the payment process, I was asked to send sensitive credit card and ID information via text, which I repeatedly said I was not comfortable with. I asked multiple times for a secure payment link or proper phone processing, but was just told to wait for a call back, causing unnecessary delays. The most serious issue: a valuable painting was NEVER RETURNED, and I was NEVER TOLD. At no point did the company inform me they had it. I only found out through the client directly. After that, I was told it was in storage and I would need to pay additional fees to get it released, despite never being informed they were holding it in the first place. There was zero transparency, no proper communication, and no accountability throughout the entire process. Based on my experience, I would strongly warn anyone to avoid this company completely if you are dealing with anything valuable or important. read more

I hired 4USMoving for a residential move. This experience was extremely unprofessional and distressing. The movers arrived four hours late and brought only three workers instead of four, as agreed upon in the booking confirmation. When I raised the issue, I was told I would be charged for three movers instead of four -- which is not a true discount or reasonable compensation for the delay and reduced crew. I had clearly stated when booking that timing was critical due to the nature of the move. Because of the delay, I had already packed all of my belongings myself, leaving only the loading and unloading to be completed. Despite this, the crew moved slowly, made jokes, and used profane language in Russian, including insults directed toward me when I urged them to move more efficiently. During the process, several boxes were dropped, resulting in damaged items and broken glass. Upon arrival at my new residence, the lead mover, Tim, informed me that the final price would exceed the originally agreed amount. When I attempted to discuss this, I was told that my belongings would not be unloaded unless I paid immediately. Given that I have children and needed access to our household items, I paid the amount under protest. After receiving payment, the crew dumped boxes and furniture inside and outside the home and refused to reassemble the beds, even though nearly an hour of paid time remained. When I requested a refund for the unused time (approximately $200), they made a phone call--again using profanity in Russian--and ultimately threw $60 at me before leaving. I had the worst experience with this company. They don't care about the customer. One of their employees posed as the company Accounting dept to collect funds from me on the moving day. He gave me the wrong payment details and we paid him only to find out 10 minutes later he lied and extorted funds. Then we were advised to pay the company Direct or they would not complete the job. We did and the liar promised to pay Pay back but he never did. The guy got fired from the company. Big deal. What about my $1100?!!!. 4US Moving proved that it has no moral compass. Mark and his team showed up on time, had all the furniture wrapped and loaded on the truck in record time. They were so careful with everything! They put all the furniture in place for me when it arrived and cleared out all the trash. They finished within the minimum timeframe and for a last minute call, the price was worth it! I am posting this review so other consumers can make an informed decision. I hired 4US Moving for my move and paid an additional $500 for piano delivery to the second floor of my home. The movers were unable to complete the piano delivery and took my piano to their storage facility. I was later told that a specialized piano-moving crew would complete the delivery. I was verbally quoted an additional $500, and I later received an estimate reflecting approximately $500 for delivery and approximately $750 for storage/truck-related charges. When the piano was finally delivered, I was informed at the door that it would cost $2,600 to move the piano to the second floor. I disputed the amount and showed the delivery team the pricing I had previously been given. I was told that if I did not pay, the company would keep my piano and continue charging storage fees. Because I was concerned about losing access to my piano and incurring additional charges, I paid $2,100 simply to have the piano released and delivered to my garage instead of the second floor. The piano was not delivered to the second floor, even though that was the service I had originally paid for. On the first day of moving In my experience, there is serious disconnect between the office and theit delivery team regarding pricing and delivery arrangements and they only want to create more fees. I was presented with charges that were substantially higher than the amounts I had previously been quoted, and I never received a written estimate authorizing the $2,600 charge. Do not use them they cannot be trusted or if you do obtain every estimate, change order, and additional fee in writing before allowing your belongings to be moved. BBB has 100's of complaints I wish I had known which is why I'm sharing my horrible experience they are a bad untrustworthy company read more

This is the worst company you can move with, the movers took advantage of an elder grandmother. Who was only moving 21 miles away and it took the 3hrs to get to her drop off point, the time we t from 8am to pick up at 2pm then between 2pm and 4. (La county traffic). There truck broke down, Then they lied and started the time before 4:45 which is when the big mouth mover said he wouldn't start until prices were corrected for us. DO NOT hire. I left this a few days ago. Not only were they horrific, they just billed me an extra $1000 that I did not authorize. Please run run run strongly discourage people NOT to hire this place. They were totally unprofessional, moving is already stressful, this made it significantly worse, they were 2 hours late. They were supposed to send a certified handi person, they did not and each item took 1.5-2 hours to move. This add hours and money to the move (also same building move). It was very difficult to get in touch with any prior to the move, so I was unsure that they would show up. Moving is stressful, save yourself more stress. Absolute NO! Adding to my review. This is my second review. I wish I could leave zero. Thai company is horrible to work with, and they lie. They told me they would reimburse me to take my review down. They were very careful with my boxes and wrapped all my furniture. They asked all the right questions regarding what is fragile and gave recommendations to ensure my things were properly taken care of and not damaged in the move. They works diligently and very quickly - they even asked for the best elevators to use for quicker move time. The location I moved to was 1.5 hours away and once arrived, Tommy ensured I had everything where they needed to be and moved everything until I was happy with the placement. The extra care and consideration for this is everything as I would have hard time rearranging my apartment myself. The biggest reason I chose 4US was because they have TV unmounting and mounting services. I have a large home theater system and they had no issues mounting. They did a phenomenal job BOTH times I requested this for my moves. It's an extra stress that I am so happy they are able to take care of!
