However, I felt like my nail artist was in a rush because I was cut a few times. While using the clippers, he cut too close, cutting into underneath my finger nail on multiple fingers. Only one time drew blood thankfully. I had to ask to get up and go clean the bleeding wound, as my nail artist proceeded with the manicure after the cut without concern for sanitization or potential infection. However, he was clearly very apologetic and kept checking in to make sure I was okay, which I appreciated. But later, the nail drill nicked the skin next to my cuticle, which hurt. I feel like I wouldn't have been cut if we just slowed down a little bit.

I came in at 4:02 PM for a pedicure ... almost TWO HOURS before closing time !! There were absolutely no customers in the salon. When I asked if they were still taking pedicures, he never once looked up from his phone while sitting in a pedicure chair and simply said, "We're closed." Confused, I pointed to the sign showing closing time was 6 PM and asked why it said they closed at 6 if it was only 4:02. Again, without even looking up, he repeated, "We're closed." At that moment, I decided I would never return. Customer service costs nothing, and basic professionalism should not be too much to ask. This employee seriously needs business etiquette and customer service training. His attitude has always been unpleasant, but this experience was the final straw for me.

When I get to my appointment she always pawns me off on someone else. Kevin removed my acrylic nails, and cut all my natural nails off. Made what nail I have left all uneven. Not one of a nails has the same shape. The edge of my nail is rough. Kevin said my natural nails aren't strong because I am WHITE!!! And people like him don't have problems because they are strong and healthy. WHITE people have a calcium issue. My nails look worse than when I came in. I have been getting my nails done for the last five years and I have never been this upset after leaving a nail salon. I always take care of my tech whoever it is, but today I did not leave a tip! I will start looking for another nail salon because I will not ever return to this location. I have been a customer for over four years. My hands are dry, rough, and peeling because of everything Kevin did. Kevin also told me that my nails were 10 days old... Umm no I corrected him and told him I always come once a month. Someday I'll come 3-4weeks since my last visit. Kevin said my body changes and grows and that's what is causing my nails issues and that in order to have my nails not hurt, chip, thin out, ect. I observed these same courtesies being offered to other customers during the same visits. I am respectful, pleasant, low-maintenance, and I tip very well. I do not cause disruption, nor have I ever been anything but appreciative of the service providers themselves. When I respectfully raised my concern and expressed that I simply wanted to be treated the same as other customers, the situation unfortunately escalated rather than improved. I was later declined the ability to make an appointment altogether, something I had always been allowed to do prior to speaking up. It pains me to even consider the reason for this difference in treatment, but based on my observations, the only noticeable distinction between myself and those who were consistently treated with kindness and respect was race. This is not an accusation I make lightly, and I have never felt the need to raise race as a factor in service before.
