This is my first time at Everyday Eatery in Irvine. It is located in a strip mall next to other small eateries. There is lots of parking out front. The interior space is rudimentary with 5 small tables and 1 shared high table and stools in the middle. There is a Large common Outdoor area with lots of tables under Large umbrellas. As you walk in, right in front of you , you will find a basket with menus in it. Grab a menu so you could decide on what to order while waiting in line. I think this is a great idea and it saves time. Also, the menu is written with large prints which is always a plus. I did not have to use my reading glasses. You order first, grab your number and find a table. The menu is really simple, but on point. (See full menu in photos) I ordered the morning market scramble. It is scrambled eggs with veggies. Side of breakfast potatoes extra crispy. And salad. It was really good. The portion was generous. I also got a cardamom rose latte iced with oat milk, and one pump of syrup instead of three. It is one of their specialty drinks. It wasn't anything special. It was just as good as anywhere else. The prices are average.the service is really friendly and the food is good. I recommend trying everyday eatery for a quick and satisfying bite any day of the week.
We checked out the menu for gf options and reviews before going here for breakfast. They were accurate. The coffee and food was delicious. I wanted to try the Spanish latte but t was "oh so" delicious. I ordered the Essentials since it had the gf option. It came with a salad. It seems more places are serving a side salad with breakfast now or maybe it's because mine was a gf meal. I'm so happy they did t have an extra charge because my meal was gf. Luckily we got there at the right time because the line got longer after we ordered. You place your order then they bring the food out to you. The staff members are cheerful and helpful. Must be a fun place to work. There is eating inside and out.
Everyday Eatery continues to be a neighborhood favorite. Service is friendly, food is delicious and fresh. It is a great spot for a casual brunch and lunch.
I have been wanting to try this place for the longest time and finally came here to celebrate the belated Mother's Day for my girls "day" out. The place is located in a food court strip mall that is surrounded by businesses. As a result, this strip mall gets very busy around lunch time. The place has healthy options. I ordered the Turkey Pesto Sandwich with a side of salad since it was a brunch gathering. The portion was perfect and filling too. Taste was spot on. After I finished my lunch, I didn't feel super stuffed at all. Seeing they have breakfast options, a few days later I brought my daughter over for early breakfast. We ordered the French Toast Forever and Espresso Mascarpone Waffle. They were delicious and beautifully presented. My daughter and I came around 7:30 am on a Sunday morning. There was no crowd at all. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My daughter approved of the place and we'll be coming back again.
This breakfast place is so cute and they have some really creative menu items. They are open until 3 pm so I'm getting an iced matcha non fat latte. It's quick and easy and I stopped in to check it out. They also have a lot of gluten-free breakfast items which are relatively healthy
I came here for the first time over the weekend and loved the food here. The essentials: the standard, typical American breakfast with eggs, breakfast potatoes, choice between bacon/sausage, and toast or salad. The breakfast potatoes were good and flavorful. We picked sausage, but unfortunately they offer turkey sausage here instead of pork (so it's a little dry and bland). It's what you can expect from an American breakfast and a solid breakfast option Lemon ricotta hotcakes: The portion size is HUGE! I definitely recommend sharing with another person unless you have a large pancake appetite, haha. The honeycomb butter is sooooo delicious. I didn't even feel like I needed syrup for the pancakes after spreading the butter :) Nice lemon flavor, but I definitely wished it was a little more prominent Even though the line looks long, it does move quickly and I like that they had an employee managing the line inside and outside :) There's only a limited amount of seating inside, but plenty of tables outdoors. Considering how crowded it was, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Plenty of parking in the lot. I would definitely come back!
I got a chance to visit Everyday Eatery today and had an average experience. Food: I ordered the scrambled egg sandwich with breakfast potatoes. The sandwich was delicious and so was the breakfast potatoes. I also got to try the hot coffee which was also good. Service: The service here was average at best. You pay tip for them to bring you the food and you order at the counter. Ambiance: The decor inside is nice but the seating is not very comfortable.
We had a chance to try out this restaurant for breakfast this week. It is located along Irvine Center Drive, near Sand Canyon. We went in, sat down and waited. No one came to us? Strange? I went to the counter and was told you must stand in line and order your food. I grabbed a menu, read it, made a selection, and was given the option of 18 to 25 percent tip. What for? I did everything. Oh, they brought the food to me. Here we go again? A DYS restaurant. This seems to be happening everywhere. Restaurant owners are designing their service as DYS. Have we lost the value of human contact? Have we all given up on the value of humanity? Twenty years ago, everywhere you went, we talked to each other; now, it's tablet, cell phone, texting, tap your card, DYS eating. I asked for a coffee. They gave me a small paper cup. The coffee is really good, but not in a mug? No refills? The food came. It was okay. We sat shoulder to shoulder with other customers on a steel wire chair. It was not very comfortable at all. It would have been nice to talk to someone who worked there, but again, they just do their job and don't have time for chit chat. No reason, they are not earning tips. I rather go to Dennys up the street. They at least serve you and talk to you. The whole experience was Okay.
Being in the area once a week, we decided we would try a new place each time. Today, we stumbled upon EVERYDAY EATERY. Located in a big shopping plaza, with lots of parking available, we grabbed breakfast. There are a few tables inside, which were all mostly taken, which is a good sign for a Tuesday morning. But there are plenty of tables outside as well. We got The Essentials which consists of eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon or turkey sausage, and toast or salad. Had to try the lemon ricotta hotcakes which were my favorite. So fluffy and absolutely delicious. I also tried their cardamom rose latte which was really good, too! Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast here. Staff is friendly, place is clean, and food is great!
This is a nice place for breakfast! It gets crowded on weekends so prepare for a long line but it goes by quickly. You seat yourselves and while there is limited space inside, there is plenty of outdoor seating. The staff is really nice and the owner kept checking in on us which was sweet. We got organic chai to drink. For food items, we got lemon ricotta hotcakes, breakfast burritto with bacon, and a side of house made potatoes. Organic Chai- Served hot with just the right amount of sweetness and spiciness. A comforting drink for cold weather. House Potatoes- Served hot, crisp, and perfectly seasoned. The chipotle aioli is smoky with a little kick of heat. Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes- The hotcakes were soft and fluffy. They give sliced bananas and berries for a fruity accent. The honeycomb butter was the best part! It added sweetness and a crunchy texture that elevated the dish. Breakfast Burritto- You can pick a protein and we went with bacon which was crisp and meaty. The burritto was loaded with eggs, potatoes, green onion and cheese. Chipotle aioli and roasted salsa tie the flavors together. Very filling! Great experience overall!
Today's trip was to try brunch and we were impressed! The customer service was sublime and we ordered: -French toast forever (a tad burnt and definitely needs more "stuffing". The stuffing was so light it kinda appeared like melted butter) -Breakfast bacon burrito (a little too salty, and the salsa it came with was delicious) -Spanish Lattes (best I ever had)
Amazing breakfast burrito! I ordered mine with the turkey sausage, and I was not disappointed. The eggs were fluffy, sausage not overdone, crisp potatoes, and good sauce!
I finally made it here to try. However, on this Saturday, the line was extremely long. We probably waited over an hour in line and then to get our food. However, they did move OK. I really wanted to try the food, so I was willing to wait. They have a variety of the new options. I settled for the chicken and avo salad. I really enjoyed the jalapeño citrus dressing. I would definitely come back again. My coffee I also got the homemade peppermint syrup as a latte and I enjoyed that as well. Friendly staff.

Enjoyed my brunch here! Got the chicken sandwich and it was so good. I love the country bread it came with, tasted very fresh. My kids loved the lemon ricotta pancakes and side of eggs. Strawberry lemonade was delicious and not too sweet. read more
I got the Cali chicken sandwich. I really liked the bread and the addition of arugula. The chicken was a bit dry (more noticeable in Baja sandwich where chicken slab is thicker). I liked the sauce on the side, which tasted kind of like canes sauce. The potatoes are very average and weren't very crispy. Overall, the sandwich was good and I was able to save half for later. However since it was just a cold sandwich with average potatoes, it felt pricey for what it was. read more

My best friend, her mom, and I decided to try this place for breakfast last weekend. It's more of a casual restaurant, where you wait in line and order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table. We loved it! The serving sizes were HUGE and the food tasted fresh and healthy. The lemon ricotta hotcakes were garnished with lots of fresh fruit and were delicious. The burrito and salsa were also well cooked and sliced for easier eating, and the spinach and feta omelette didn't disappoint either. We would definitely come here again! read more

this is truly a special spot. the JOY we were welcomed with by all the staff at everyday eatery, and the genuine excitement they had for their food, was contagious. truly some of the best hospitality we've ever experienced! FOOD. the food came quickly. the burrito and lemon ricotta pancakes were both incredible and filling! i am not huge on fruity or sweet pancakes, but they did theirs so well- the perfect amount of sweetness paired with real lemon and fluffy goodness. we also loved the burrito, especially with the salsa!! we opted for the chipotle chicken protein option and really enjoyed it- all the flavors blended so well together. HOSPITALITY!!! the restauarant's interior is so clean and cute but we loved the outdoor seating option! most of all, we were so grateful to brian- to find an owner so enthusiastic, genuinely interested in their customers, and striving for excellence put this spot over the top for us. it was so evident all the staff love what they do and enjoy their food! we were checked in on throughout our meal and had everything we could have possibly needed! we can't say enough nice things! thank you again, everyday eatery, for making our special day even more special! read more

I absolutely LOVE this place! It's been my go-to brunch spot for years. The line can get a bit long, especially if you come during peak times, but it's totally worth it. You order at the front of the line, and then you seat yourself before they bring you your food! The matcha lattes here are hands down the best in Irvine, and I love that they offer interesting flavors like lavender and rose that you can add to the matcha. They also use Mizuba Matcha powder, which is super high quality with such a rich and creamy taste. As for the food, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The spinach feta omelette and the morning market scramble are both amazing, but my absolute favorite is the breakfast burrito. The salsa and chipotle aioli are out of this world, and the portion size is huge! The ricotta hotcakes are also a must-try. I'd recommend getting extra honeycomb butter because it's so yummy and unique--you honestly don't even need syrup with that butter. read more

Pia was so amazing. Soon as we started eating the most amazing pancakes I've had in Orange County so far, she asked us how everything was tasting and not a waitress so just great vibes. My gf was how she liked the personalized experience. The espresso mascarpone is not too sweet, along with everything else. Sweet, but balanced. My new goto breakfast spot. I will say that the service was slightly off because they gave us the wrong drink and orders came out slowly that we had a mishap between the whole milk and oat milk drinks. Everyday Eatery always has a gigantic line on the weekends, so when the opportunity to try it on a weekday appeared, I took it! We arrived before the lunch rush (before noon) and were able to place an order at the register and easily find a seat outside. I wanted to try their breakfast burrito ($16) which came with a choice of bacon, turkey sausage, chipotle chicken or avocado. Instead of tater tots, it has roasted potatoes, along with eggs, green onions, chili aioli and Monterey Jack cheese, and salsa on the side. It was a polite size and was one of the lighter breakfast burritos I've eaten. (In other words, I was still a little hungry afterwards.) My husband got the spinach & feta omelette ($16), which was decent size and came with breakfast potatoes and salad, making for a hearty breakfast. If you're looking for a better bang for your buck, order this one over the burrito. Even though this is a counter service restaurant, Everyday Eatery goes above and beyond to offer good service. The server at the register was friendly and the expo server who delivered the food was very helpful and seemed like she was just happy to be at work! They even had another person checking in on tables after they got the food, making sure people didn't need anything else. If you hate waiting in line (like I do), avoid coming here during peak weekend brunch time. read more
What a wonderful breakfast/brunch spot. I dropped my wife at an appointment and decided to stop and have breakfast. I found Everyday Eatery in close proximity and what a find. I ordered coffee, OJ, and the spinach and feta omelet. The food was so good and the restaurant was quite clean with a pleasant ambiance. Courtney assisted me with ordering and delivered my food to the table, and she was terrific as well. I highly recommend this great breakfast spot. read more

Everyday Eatery is one of the best brunch spots in Irvine that I've tried. I love anything brunch related. Me and my two friends ordered family style and tried different things. We wanted both sweet and savory dishes... so we decided to order the breakfast burrito, fruit French toasts, and the morning market scramble. We came on a Saturday around 11-12PM. I loved that they had both indoor and outdoor seating... but we opted for indoor seating. The parking situation is fairly easy. The workers were super friendly and helped us decide on what to order by giving us their recommendations! My favorite dish was the morning market scramble. I love my savory foods! Next time I'm around this area during brunch time, I want to try the lemon ricotta pancakes. Awesome place to go to with friends to catch up! read more

Everyday eatery is such a nice little spot! With great breakfast and great service. There is plenty of seating outside but very minimal inside. The egg sandwich was def a hit. The egg was cooked perfectly that blended well with the brioche bun. The pancakes were not too sweet and is definitely fluffy. That one is definitely shareable, especially if you are like me and want both savory and sweet for brunch. The matcha strawberry though...it was definitely not for me. Especially if its put on the signature drinks, I would have thought it taste better but it was super bland and couldn't finish it. Other than that, its a good place to get some quick gourmet breakfast! read more

Where's the avocado??!! We ordered 4 morning market scrambles to go and when we got home, two of them did not have any avocados, and one only had a sliver. This menu item costs about $18 each and the menu states avocados, hence, we got scammed. The restaurant was not busy so there was no excuse. It almost seems like they did it deliberately because they screwed up 3 out of 4. I don't have the patience anymore because the cost of eating out has gotten so ridiculous, that the least I expect is to get what's on the menu. There are ALOT of other great restaurants for breakfast, so we'll be going elsewhere next time. I'm sure management will not care about thisnpo read more

The food was SO good! The service was awesome super welcoming and nice. We were greeted when we arrived and thanked as we left. We had the beacon breakfast sandwich, burrito and the market omelette. All very good the burrito for sure won the table vote. We had cardamom latte, spanish latte, lavender latte, hibiscus lemonade and their house kombucha. Honestly we all loved our drinks. We visited this cute breakfast place yesterday while we were in town. It was super packed for a Sunday morning with a long line wrapped around the building. It was insane but obviously a good sign. The menu was definitely geared toward the healthier side. I ordered the Nutrition Bowl and added an egg on top for extra protein. I also got the iced strawberry matcha latte, which had been mentioned several times in the reviews. The Nutrition Bowl was very filling and tasted clean and healthy. I lost count of how many people stopped me mid-bite to ask what I ordered because it looked so good. My boyfriend got the lemon ricotta pancakes, and he was over the moon especially because of the honeycomb butter.The line had gotten even longer by the time we left.The only downside is that we live farther. We were just in town running errands, and I happened to find this place based on its great reviews and rightfully so. We'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu. read more

Everything was fresh & quick. The place looked clean and bright too, I like the cozy atmosphere inside and neat presentation even with take out. I'll dine in next time! Such wonderful service and the best French toast in town! We went as a family of three and were lucky to get a table inside--it got really crowded right after we arrived. I ordered a rose latte and the breakfast sandwich, while my husband had the pancakes with strawberry matcha, which he loved. But the French toast was absolutely the best. I went here with some friends for a quick brunch. The service was nice, you order then you can find anywhere to sit indoor or outdoors. I got the sausage breakfast burrito. It was a lot of eggs and cheese. I got big chunks of sausage too as shown from the pic. It was very filling but it wasn't a lot of flavor in my opinion. I do like the restaurant overall, the interior was nice and seemed like a great place to study or to catch up with friends. read more

I loved this place, everything was so delicious and made fresh to your order. The prices are definitely reasonable for what you are getting, staff is very friendly and helpful. The whole restaurant it self if cute, I wish there was more parking available but I would totally deal with parking for this gem of a place again. A good friend recommended this place, and knowing her taste in restaurants I was looking forward to eating. Looking at the menu, I was surprised by how appetizing and appealing everything looked on the menu. I wanted breakfast but decided to try the Chicken bowl. When all the meals came out i was so impressed... each order looked like it came out of a food magazine. My chicken bowl included brown rice, kale and chipotle sauce. It was so delicious and I was full for so long. My friends were pleased with their food and our breakfast experience here. Everyday Eatery is my favorite breakfast/brunch place in OC! I always go for one item that's savory and another that's sweet. For the savory breakfast item, the breakfast burrito with bacon is my go-to. The scrambled eggs are not dry at all and it's cooked with green onions which adds a nice flavor. The portion is the perfect size to share between 2 people. For the sweet breakfast item, I like going with the lemon ricotta pancakes or the french toast. The pancakes tasted like lemon cupcakes. It was really delicious but little too dense for breakfast, so I would go with the French toast instead. Overall, Everyday Eatery is a great brunch place that uses clean and fresh ingredients. The service is fast and everyone is friendly! read more

In the area for baseball and wanted to try something new. This was really good. Several healthy options. Friendly service. Wide selection of diet friendly foods. I am not really a breakfast person but this morning scramble with potatoes and salad was the right choice in the AM. Also chose an unsweetened hibiscus tea. Maybe 400-500 calories tops. Only issue was the price.. the scramble + tea + tip ran it up to $22+. Worth it but the menu prices of $12-13/food is wrong. If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. But Im rounding up because the service and attentiveness was spot on read more

This is a cute breakfast/ brunch place. I ordered the Morning Market Scramble with salad and enjoyed it! The salad, potatoes, eggs, some tomatoes and avocados is just the right combination of delish. It's such a beautiful explosion of colors on my plate! For my drink, I tried the hot cardamom rose latte. My understanding is they make the cardamom syrup in-house. Not sure about the rose flavor though. The rose flavor is just perfect! Not too overpowering. It was yummy! You have to queue to order and pay. They deliver your food to your table. They are all nice, friendly and provided good service. read more

Besides the sweet foods and breakfast sandwiches (can't have eggs), are there options that onion/garlic/scallions/chives/etc can be removed? I know there are sauces and seasonings but I'm unsure if they contain alliums (those foods listed above)?
I highly recommend our Vegan Scramble with Brown Rice (instead of the quinoa; containing onions). This is one of my favorite dishes on the menu, and meets your dietary requirements!
Can you please have a separate line for patrons who only want to order to-go drinks? It doesn't make sense to stand in super long lines just for a latte ☹️
Absolutely! If you're ever after beverages only, you are welcome to come to the to-go table and we can jump the line for drinks!

Our focus is to provide the best possible in-store dining experience, and in peak times we've found it necessary to stop the flood of orders we receive online, and sometimes by phone, to prevent long wait times. We recommend placing your order early…
Is there outdoor seating right now?
Yes there is shared outdoor space. Shared space is for all restaurant patrons in the plaza.
Do they have WiFi?
Hi there. Sand Canyon Plaza has guest wifi services for the whole plaza, and there are conventional plugs and phone charging points at a number of locations outside. Hope this helps.
Does this place take reservations?
We are counter-service, and you don't need reservations to come eat here. We have plenty of outdoor seating and there is no problem finding a table.
