One of the tiny screws on the side of my glasses came loose and fell out, and Miguel fixed it right away. I was initially saddened to hear they had sold the business. I even hesitated to stop in for an adjustment on a pair of frames I previously bought from Stella. I worried if the new team would be as skilled, friendly, or knowledgeable about luxury lines--and if I'd face a high-pressure sales pitch. All those doubts vanished the moment I walked through the door. We were greeted with a warm smile by the store manager, Vivian. Even while helping another client, she paused to make us feel welcome and invited us to browse. When she finished, she was exceptionally attentive, warm, and zero-pressure. Blink Optical remains THE premier destination for an unmatched, curated selection of independent designer frames, luxury eyewear, and elite customer care. I walked out purchasing three pairs of frames, and my husband bought a pair of plano lenses, too! As a loyal Blink customer since 2016 and a Morgenthal enthusiast since 2011, I can wholeheartedly vouch for their premium prescription eyewear and flawless service. Ask for Vivian--she has a true talent for finding the perfect frames to match your unique features and personality. She worked with us on pricing as well. Highly recommend. DO NOT GET LENSES FOR YOUR KIDS HERE. They made wrong prescription lenses for my 3 year old son…read more After 2 days of wearing the glasses he became sick and started throwing up and it was by accident that I noticed that his lenses looked different from before. When I called them about it they said it should be fine but they would look into it. I went to LensCrafters to check the glasses and they told me that the lenses in the glasses were not the prescription issued by his doctor. I brought the glasses back and Blink employee were quick to blame the lab but it was their job to put the lenses in and check that everything was correct. They told me they would fix it and by the fourth try the lenses were still wrong. I got so worried about their safety that I cancelled my order. I had also ordered a new pair of Lindberg glasses for my son which are very expensive. They told me they would make it right by giving me the lenses and frames free of charge and refunding my money after 7-10 business days. It now has been 4 weeks (20 business days) and I still don't have my refund and no one is talking about the frame or the lenses anymore. We used to buy all our glasses here, several pairs a year, for myself and my husband and our kids, but ever since they came under new ownership the service got so bad and the prices went way up! Do not go here, especially if you have little kids who need glasses.

Hey, Northbook! You have a gem in New Days Optical. I was a customer of John's for more than 15…read moreyears when he was in Chicago. He is amazing. This is a one-man-show kind of store, but all you need is John. He doesn't do exams, so go to your eye Doc first, then bring in your prescription. John will make sure you have the perfect fit. Over time, I progressed from single vision to bifocals to trifocals, and he made sure the lenses were just right. No new-glasses-nausea! The fitting experience alone is an almost spiritual experience. Just go. You'll be glad you did.

I'm not sure why he did that but it was a total jerk move and I would only go here if you enjoy getting yelled at, otherwise I would stay away.

We finally had an opportunity to visit Zeifert when my husband decided to get a new pair of glasses. There was no need for an eye exam so we only experienced the store portion. It is as lovely inside as outside. Clean and organized. The bad: The initial portion of our experience was awkward - it took them a moment to start talking to us and then they were very focused on getting all the details of my hubby's insurance. The lady who was dealing with us kept asking her co-worker if she found the insurance info yet, if she can confirm it, is it there, does he have insurance, do you have it, did you find it...? I am really not sure why was this so important as the insurance only covered small percentage of the glasses cost, we still had to pay most of the total price. The good: Once she confirmed the insurance details, her demeanor changed, she smiled and started helping us choosing the frames. From then on, our experience was great. They have a nice selection and it took us a while to settle on the winner. They even had his prescription strength in stock so we were able to have the complete glasses at home that evening. Prices: It is hard to judge if the prices here are much higher than at any other eye glasses store, however based on the location I would say yes. Definitely not a bargain place :) Overall: If price is not a deciding factor, I would recommend Zeifert for your eyeglasses needs. Hopefully they will learn to provide good customer service from the very beginning, regardless of your insurance ;)
